Iugo allowed Jasmine to keep her injury to herself. She was a big girl after all. "Such a waste," Iugo muttered to himself, shaking his head at the blood comment. On the floor? What sort of primitive being did you need to be to lap the blood off the floor? His brown eyes shifted to Agony's corner, still unable to see him in the dark. Had he scuttled away? Perhaps. He had his sneaky moments. As for the fool... Well, Iugo would make sure that if any fool had her blood, it was him! A glimpse at the romantic mind of Iugo Nationis.
His eyes moved back to Jasmine as he rested an elbow on the cabinet full of aged bandages and lay his head on his fist. "I would be lead to believe so, anyways. Both my parents did, as did my brother." Turning back to the drawer on his stool, he restarted his search again. There had to be something in here that could make his meal somewhat civilized. Bone saw, scalpel, wrench... None of these things would bring the finesse he had with a knife. Silly him for not having a back up. The blade was rather old...
A low growl of frustration left his throat as he pushed the drawer closed with more force than was necessary. The free hand drummed along the top of the mobile unit as he mental inventoried his lab. His lab? Hell yeah it was... He did not mind others using it when he was not, sure, but he felt that he spent enough time to officially have a deed for it. Perhaps he should speak to Naelona about that... His eyes then drifted above the doorway, imagining a large slab of spikes falling down on those that did not deactivate the trap. Easy catches. It would be a back up or a hobby for a rainy day.
"Why do you ask? No boogie is exactly alike," He went on, focusing back on Jasmine. With that though, Iugo pondered upon what would happen if a boogie couple had identical twins. All these thoughts and nothing to write them down on! "I can saw I honestly don't expect other boogies to bleed all sorts of colors but it wouldn't surprise me much. It's like our abilities," Iugo went on, showing his point by reaching a hand out to his cane and feigning a grab. his hand passing right through it. "An original snowflake, perfect in every way."

Once her hand was returned to her, Jasmine held it in the other and kept it to her chest. A waste? Was that a sort of compliment? If she could read minds and hear the things Iugo was thinking she would have taken it as so. Only he could have her blood...rather possessive of him. It probably would have sounded horrible if a human or a lesser Boogie were to hear it, but this was Iugo. It was probably the most romantic thing he could think of. A pair of fools, one for love and one for blood.
Of course the young (looking) Boogie didn't hear any of that.
Gold eyes stayed locked onto the doctor as he looked for a weapon. He'd said he's killed his mother. Did he kill his father and brother as well? Again, it must sound terrible to a human to say 'Oh, I killed my family', but when it came to Boogies, death was death. That was how things went. It was still a little saddening to think Iugo had absolutely no family left. Not one left, even if it had been by his own hand...
...alone...
"I just felt like asking. I was curious about...that..." ...about you, the plum woman finished in her head as she saw the hand phasing through the cane. With that she stretched her non-injured hand and wiggled her slender fingers. "Your talent is a little more impressive than mine. It must be useful when stalking your meal. Mine depends on touch. Without that...I'm pretty useless."
Jasmine thought of something odd, and a little funny, as her hand reached forward a little toward Iugo's arm. "You've experienced it once. That night at the dinning hall? Did you notice it...?"

"Notice?" Iugo repeated, spinning his chair around and actually snatching his cane up. "Yes, I do recall a brain blasting, mind numbing, thought crushing, total domination of not killing the blue dolt. It was far less pleasing than eating him alive." Standing, Iugo limped over to a cabinet against the cold, stone walls. Throwing the doors open, he smiled. Within were utensils and tools that would make most cringe. Edges were jagged, through use or design it was unknown, blades and hammers melded together in a twisted way to inflict wounds that could not be treated in a single method. The cruel instruments of his profession had been re-outfitted for his particular use with them. Sighing, the doctor leaned on his black cane while tapping his chin.
"Your talent is far more deadly, Jasmine," Iugo went on, scanning his arsenal, "Who would suspect you?" With that he half turned his head and watched her with one eye. "The wrath of Jasmine Krisp would only be seen by the victim, falling under their own means. The look in their eyes as they strangled themselves to death or throw themselves from the high windows of the palace." Iugo smirked for a moment. "I can honestly say that I would not mind trading powers with you for a day. It will take some getting used to, as I can travel faster than most." His attention returned to his toys, pulling what looked like a butcher knife with jagged teeth from it's spot. Unlike his favored style, this one was spotless and even reflected the torch light.
Weapon in hand, Iugo closed the cabinet and limped back to the table, pausing by Jasmine. "You could in fact tell me to kill myself at this very moment." He raised the blade to his neck and mimed slicing it. "If either of us is to envy a talent, I am to be jealous of yours, my little plum." It was not so much a term of endearment as simply describing what she looked like with her hair. A finger pointed out from the blade as he slowly brought it close to her forehead, "All with as simple as a thought..." And gently tapped said forehead, "And touch." With that, he moved back to his meal, finally basking in the moment. Iugo was still so hungry...

"Ahaha..." the voice that came with that little laugh sounded like a mix of embarrassment and 'Oops'. So Iugo had noticed her talent that night. He knew it was her fault he couldn't finish of his target. Oh well. At least he wasn't yelling at her for stopping his fun. "False confessions and rage aside, you two are important to me. And I said so at the ball: I'd rather not scrape either of you off the floor." The snark in her words was clear as day, but there was some truth to it. Jasmine was in no rush to see her crush and biffle killing each other for no good reason.
Even if it was over her, she saw it as a pointless fight.
Jazz did listen with a bit of pride at Iugo's study of her talent. An exchange for a day? "It's useful if I can catch a person off-guard, but if they know what I'm capable of they can avoid my hands and catch me. But if only..." the plum woman mused, eying the knife Iugo had picked from his closet of toys. "I'd love to be able to sneak around like you can. I could scare the living daylights out of Shaehern or Naelona. That would be entertaining."
But the doctor did have a point. Should she want to, with a touch of her palm, the little woman could kill anyone, anytime, if she so desired it. It would be too easy. The nickname was hardly a reason to blush. She'd been called plum, grape, midget...she was used to those names. But it did sound a little sweeter coming from Iugo. "I could if I wanted to...couldn't I...? So then that means..."
Jumping as she often did, Jasmine had managed to hop from behind Iugo, to his side, and in front of him in barely a moment. She look up with luminescent eyes and a dangerous little grin, both hands behind her back and her torso sticking out only a little. It wasn't a seductive pose, nor was it a threatening one. It was just her being her.
"...that you'll have to trust me not to kill you, should the whim come to me. Do you think you can do that, Iugo? Trust me to be close enough...knowing I can kill you with the touch of my fingertips...?"

Iugo gave a start to the hopping. Her footwork was most impressive... Trust? The being Iugo trusted most was no doubt Agony, but even that wasn't saying much. He could instill fear in the beast, though when Iugo slept he had no idea what troubles the goblin got itself into. The topic would have been less appetizing if it was solely about trust, much like love. Thankfully, she was just flirting again. Bending down so he was eye level, Iugo allowed himself to be closer to his face than he thought comfortable. To the mad man it felt like a challenge.
"Try as you might, my dear Jasmine, you do not scare me," Iugo said softly, his tone different from the usual menacing tone he carried when this close to someone's face. "Besides," He added, smirking again. "You admitted that you loved me only minutes ago, didn't you?" He asked, tilting it ever so slightly, a feigned look of confusion on his face. "And I may have a twisted view on emotions and proper social interaction, but wouldn't slaying me be counterproductive to our relationship?" The words poured out of his mouth faster than he could catch them.
Iugo stood up straight and moved past her once again, hiding the momentary blush. They were not in a relationship! Besides, a relationship could be as simple as who Iugo was compared to his meal. Pulling his thoughts to the meal at hand, the doctor leaned his cane against the cold table, the blood still oozing out of the crushed skull, warm to the touch. He placed a hand on the thigh of the girl before him and raised the odd tool above his head. "If you want to keep your dress pristine I suggest you get out of the line of fire," Iugo said over his shoulder and waiting a moment for the words to be recognized before swinging down hard, flesh, bone, and more flesh tearing and cracking under the blow.
The sound was so sweet to Iugo's ears. Blood would cover splatter his front, speckles dotting his glasses. The first cut was always the best. It really was a shame that Jasmine did not agree with his palate.

When one is as short in legs as Jasmine is, running and walking can be a slow and annoying way to travel. Most of her time indoors she subjected herself to walking, but outside? If the weather was right and Hades was in a good enough mood, she'd take a ride on her familiar to go from point A to point B. When he wasn't in such a friendly state, the little woman would hop from branch to branch. It was far faster, and she could jump really high from her centuries of practice.
Plus...it was just more fun to hop around.
Am I a bird or a rabbit...hmm...
Jasmine blinked as the good doctor leaned in, right in her face. Why hello again blush! The plum woman turned into a cherry yet again and almost took a step back, just because the mere closeness was causing her brain to malfunction. Then he said it. Relationship? Our relationship...? N-No way...Jazz turned an even darker shade. That couldn't be what he was trying to say, could it? It was impossible. Iugo was Iugo, he couldn't be instigating that he and her were a...a...thing...like that!! His reaction to his own words confirmed it had been a slip of the tongue, but the idea of it still lingered in Jasmine's head as he walked back to the table.
A relationship? With Iugo? I like him...hell, I love him...but...a relationship...?
Again his voice broke her train of thought and the little Boogie turned, just in time to get the warning. She moved off to the side where she assumed the blood would not touch her and watched, simply watched, as the doc cut into his food. It was a brutal display, though it didn't really phase Jazz too much. Boogies would be Boogies after all. Though she did have to wonder some about why Boogies liked the taste of humans. Was it like humans and beef? 'It tastes good, lets eat it!'? That made a little sense. Though it still left some questions to answer.
From where she was, the plum managed to scoot over and sit herself down in the rolling chair Iugo had occupied before. It was comical how tiny she was in it. "Just make sure to wash your hands before you touch me," there was a slight bit of flirtation in her voice, "Maybe I can clean them for you like before~"
Oi. I need to stop hanging out with that damn fruit fly...

Iugo sawed at the flesh, back and forth, back and forth. The sound was long overdue! Smiling as he worked, he paid Jasmine little attention as he held the first chunk from the girl, the tool left in her thigh next to the gap. Holding it up, he grinned at it before placing the entire piece of meat in his mouth, chewing it a limited number of times before swallowing. Oh, sweet, sweet flesh... Closing his eyes, he relished the first moments of having finally beginning to eat before multitasking. "Touch you?" He repeated, picking up his weapon and sawing another piece off, and another.
His hands worked swiftly and accurately, showing that despite his lack of care for others bodily harm, he had the hands of a surgeon. The slices were so clean that even with the jagged edges the skin looked to be cut with something as precise as a scalpel. The skin was the best... So tough and chewy. Picking up a piece as he worked, he popped more flesh into his mouth, dipping it in the sauce that humans so conveniently kept packed with their bones. Taking another moment to enjoy it, he turned his head back to Jasmine, following up his last question.
"Why on earth would I touch you?" Iugo asked, his fingers working diligently to finish cutting up his meal into the proper serving size to keep his polite air while company was around. "Don't get me wrong, Jasmine," He backed up, catching how rude that may have sounded, "But I don't intend to be picking you up, spinning you around, and try to dirty that dress in every conceivable way." Turning back to his work, Iugo put his tool down and took the already damaged femur. A loud crack filled the room again as he broke it between his hands and lifted the bone, some meat still clingy stubbornly to it. The marrow did not interest him. Though, he did save it in case there was someone who would be willing to pay for it.
"Honestly, do you suspect me to be someone who is so... touchy?" Iugo asked, turning all the way around, holding the bone in his hand as he picked off the remnants of meat. "I think you have the wrong impression of me if you think that I will skip down a hall with you and hold your hand?" Iugo scoffed at that, shaking his head. "You'll want to find the owner of that bit of ear if you want skipping done."

Gee, way to make a woman feel wanted around here.
The slightly-flirtatious and sly look on the little Boogie's face dropped like a shot duck. Why on earth would he touch...what was that supposed to mean? Jazz hadn't meant anything sexual, she had meant it as a joke. A little flirty quip to maybe ruffle his feathers. Nothing more than that. So why did he have to turn it around and throw it back at her like...like that. It made her sound like she was pushing herself on him. And she wasn't! It was supposed to be a jest!
Why did he have to say something so mean?
It's because he's Iugo...
...no. I can't keep using that excuse.
Jasmine's blank face turned sour when he continued talking. "I wasn't being...I was kidding," she said coolly, sounding hurt. Was she undesirable? Was it her looks? Maybe she looked too young for the doctor, or worse, maybe he thought she was too old. "I didn't think you were, I didn't think you would be. Just because I confessed didn't mean I expected some magical transformation from the cold mule you are to some handsome prince..." there was a bite to her words as her pretty golden eyes stared at the floor, "I'm not an idiot."
At the mention of Shaehern, Jasmine shot to her feet and started toward the door. She wanted to get out of here. Now. Jazz knew she was over-reacting running away, but she was hurt. And Iugo was being a fool. When those sort of feelings went head-to-head, it was best to get away from the issue until you've calmed down. Her emotions and nerves were running high as it was...Iugo didn't need to kick the dog.
"Maybe I should find him," she said with venom as she got to the first step, "At least he can say 'I love you' to me. Have fun with your meal."

Whoa.
Iugo watched her leave, eyebrow arched. Had what he said really stung her so sharply? He felt no remorse for what he said and watched her make her flustered and cold remarks. A mule, was he? So the true side of her came out. Insults would not get her a fowl reaction, if that was what Jasmine had hoped for. The doctor picked off another piece of meat and put it in his mouth, chewing it as her exit brought her to the stairs. He had backed up and explained himself, hadn't he? Obviously that meant he should not be in trouble. That was where she had to leave her last sassy comment.
The bone crumbles in his grip, two halves falling and clattering to the floor. "Oh, so what I heard was true then," Iugo growled, his glowering gaze taking on a much more hostile glint. "When that blue moron expressed his love you never answered him. You just blushed as brightly as you have all evening!" Fists clenched, the arms fell to his sides, his voice growing gruffer and more violent. "You do love that man, don't you?" He spat, his right fist swinging back in a fit of rage and denting the heavy steel table, the body shaking lifelessly.
"Go on then, you minuscule, purple tart," Iugo's volume dropped dramatically, his body turning and walking around the table and further from Jasmine. "Go find your true lover. Go toy with him, have your fun." Turning once more, Iugo pointed an accusing finger at Jasmine, his voice turning into a shout that filled the lab, possibly even breaching the heavy closed door and into the halls. "BUT YOU STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" His breaths became ragged as he gripped the edge of the table, leaning over the table, fingers bending the metal under the grip of his anger, the metal screeching in protest as it moved. "Now get the fuck out." The last statement was hissed.
If Jasmine wanted to hit a nerve, she sure got it.
