It had been at least a day since Kristopher and Augusta had their fight per say. The blond had not returned to dorm three, instead he had stayed in dorm one with piper. Which it was kind of her to go to the dorm and get him some clothing or else it would get really weird. So now, the blond, on his second day/night at Piper's room was sitting on the Piper's bed. Apparently, his favorite spot. Well actually, he was more like laying across it on his belly, his head hanging off one end and his fingers drawing imaginary images on the old wooden floor.
Kristopher was dressed in nothing more then a large baggy sweater that hugged around his thighs and a pair of white and blue stripped boxers. It was around midnight now and the blond was not even close to being tired. His blankets where scattered on the floor, where he had been sleeping next to Piper's bed. (He still can't sleep alone.)
He sighed softly and kicked his feet in the air, "Piper." He said softly and calling out for she was not in the room yet. "What are you doing?" He asked, knowing she had left to the other room to get something and he now was rather curious.

Oddly enough, Piper hadn't minded that Kristopher had stayed with her...he needed the space and she had even brought some of his clothes from his dorm for him. She had given him one of her shirts but he looking disturbingly like a girl so they had decided his own clothes would be a better plan. The young woman had left the room briefly to grab a hairbrush...Kristopher's hair was starting to resemble a chaotic birds nest of blonde curls.
"Just getting a brush."
Piper wandered back in holding a hairbrush and wearing a black sweater which hung loose on her body and drooped off her right shoulder and a long pair of sweatpants. She would rather be warm than look feminine right now. Without much hesitation she reached over and gently ruffled Kristopher's hair.
"You're starting to look like you're wearing some kind of hat."
A brief quiet chuckle passed her lips...she actually laughed, that was an improvement. Perhaps because she didn't feel under threat by Kristopher, he looked more like a woman anyway...She sat behind him on the bed and as gently as she could tried to work out the birds nest that was Kristopher Roberts hair...

Kristopher sat up on the bed with Piper came back, he crossed his legs and then put his hands on his ankles, although his hands instantly disappeared due to his long and baggy sleeves. He then gave her a strange look, "My hair does not look like a weird hat!" He pointed out in shock and shook his head wildly. "I just have a lot of curls. . .not a weird hat." He smiled a bit at that.
He looked around the room when Piper ran the brush through his crazy hair, although it caused his head to jerk to the side, following the brushes stroke. "Ow.. ow..ow!" He muttered and then grew wide eyes when the brush hit a rather large rats nest. "Ow! Pip, that hurts." He whimpered, but he supposed this is what he got for not brushing his hair out this morning and just let it go. Now his curls, the area that had a brush go through it, frizzed out in a puff of curl and tangles.
"Don't get it stuck!" He then laughed a bit, "I don't want to cut my hair again." His right arm moved to stabilize himself, a slight expression of pain crossed his features. Kristopher, the night before had tired to do himself in and crossed the lane rather then the rode. Of course Piper stopped him half way through and quickly repaired him and gave him a very long, long, long lecture. Long enough the blond was sure he would never try that again, at least near her or in her room. But the cuts where deep and they stung even if they where stitched up.

"Ow.. ow..ow! Ow! Pip, that hurts. Don't get it stuck! I don't want to cut my hair again."
Piper lightly tapped Kristopher on the back on the head with the brush before going back to working out of the tangles as gently as she could without hurting him, although she couldn't help it when she hit the occasional big rats nest of tangles. She had found Kristopher in his attempt to do himself in just last night and bit her lip at the thought, she was just glad she had been there to stop him...she didn't mean to give a long lecture but it was just because she was worried. Having friends in Wonderland was a rare thing and losing someone would hurt just as much as when she lost her parents.
"Then maybe you ought to brush it instead of leaving it to become a rats nest, hm?"
She couldn't help but tease him a little, trying to keep the mood light despite the incidents of the previous night and carried on working the brush slowly through the tangles, freeing up the silky blonde curls which attributed to Kristopher's very feminine appearence. It was probably part of the reason that Piper forgot that he was a man half of the time.

"Then maybe you ought to brush it instead of leaving it to become a rats nest, hm?"
"Hey, I was going to brush it out, but I forgot and feel back asleep and then it got even more mess--owie." He said as his head was jerked a few more times but he dealt with it. Like a child he lifted his arm and rested his chin in the palm of his hand like a whimpering child.
At least in a few minutes she would be done and the more his hair was brushed out the shinier, fluffier and bouncy it got as the curls turned into waves of gold. The blond yawned a bit and smiled. "Besides," he added in after a while, "I like people brushing and playing with my hair." He chuckled at that and glanced at his friend. Although his curls and waves fell over his eyes in which he had to blow them up to even see.
"Stupid hair. . .it's getting in my eyes. I feel like a sheep dog." He mused.

"Not long now."
Piper was almost done brushing out Kristopher's soft blonde waves, he didn't look like he was wearing a cross between a rats nest and a hat anymore...although the sight of it made her chuckle it was probably better to sort it out before they ended up cutting his hair off. Although Kristopher had whimpered like a little boy even though Piper did her best to be gentle despite his thick tangles. She put the brush aside, grateful that her own blessedly straight hair didn't end up like that.
"Stupid hair. . .it's getting in my eyes. I feel like a sheep dog."
She smiled and lifted the locks covering his eyes with her right hand so he could see...Kristopher did have a point about the sheepdog comment, it reminded her of this dog on a paint commercial which looked like it didn't even have eyes because everything was so covered in fur. Piper didn't want to cut Kristopher's hair so she gave it a moment's thought, then the idea hit her!
"I'll be right back."
The young woman got off the bed and left the room briefly, rummaging through the bag she had brought back from the market, she had bought a couple of headbands to keep her own long, black hair out of her face if she was doing something where it would get in the way. She brought one back into the room for Kristoper and used it to push his curly bangs out of his eyes.
"Better now?"

"I'll be right back."
Kristopher looked over at Piper with a raised brow but he didn't say anything. He watched her get up and then leave only to come back a few moments later. "What did you get?" He asked and then he promptly got a headband in the face and then his hair being moved. After the headband was adjusted by dear Piper the boy blinked.
"Hey I can see now." He laughed a bit at that and then tilted his head, "But how much of a girl do I look like?" He asked brightly in a teasing fashion. Piper knew that Kristopher hated cross dressing by far, even if he could be considered gay to a certain extent. He would never cross dress, not even for Augusta.
He then looked about the room, "But it does do a good job of keeping my hair out of my face." So says the curly-sue boy. "So," he said, "Seeing as you conquered my hair, what's next on the list?"

"But how much of a girl do I look like?"
In Piper's opinion...Kristopher probably looked more like a girl than she did at the moment, well...at least he would do if he had the boobs to match. That thought made the dark haired young woman chuckle. Ah well, at least the boy no longer looked like a blonde, curly sheepdog. She leaned back against the wall, in this light the dark circles under her eyes were plainly visible, her sleep had been somewhat disturbed of late since Iugo had begun his nightly visitations.
"Probably more like a girl than I do."
Piper had dressed to show her figure off ever since...well...things had started going wrong while she still lived with her Godfather and it seemed that the habit was not an easy one to kick. It was easier to just appear androgynous rather than overtly feminine, it attracted less of the wrong kind of attention. The only thing which gave her away was the long, dark hair which she couldn't bring herself to cut, keeping it long was like having something to hide behind. When Kristopher spoke again, Piper shook herself out of her daze.
"So, Seeing as you conquered my hair, what's next on the list?"
She banished her thought away for the time being and briefly massaged her temples, lack of proper sleep kept giving her headaches.
"Sorry...was miles away for a minute there. What were you saying?"

That's what he was afraid of looking more like a girl then a boy, but oh well it happened sometimes and he just couldn't help it in reality. So he smiled and just shrugged his shoulders, "At least I make a pretty one I suppose." He chuckled lightly and then tilted his head at her.
It looked like she had went off into her own world and when she spoke again, it seemed like he was right about that and so he pretended to have not noticed. "Huh? Oh, I just asked what we should do next." He stated The blond then put his hands back on his ankles and smiled softly at Piper.

The next thing Piper wanted to conquer was going to be harder to fix than keeping Kristopher's hair out of his eyes, she sighed deeply and reached for the anti-septic cream on her beside table before gently turning Kristopher's still tender wrists over, slowly pulling away the fabric of his long sleeved sweater to check the gauze patches on his wrists which she was changing every day. She removed the old gauze patches and looked at the still fresh slashes across the soft skin of Kristopher's inner wrists, Piper shot him a slightly pained look before rubbing some of the cream onto the skin.
"You'll have some scarring but hopefully not much if we keep it clean...promise me something, don't do that again. You've got too many people who love you to leave behind."
Piper wasn't quite over what she had seen and the image would stay with her for a long time...much like seeing the bodies of her parents removed from the car, bloody and unmoving. She screwed her eyes tightly shut and dispeled the image as she concentrated on re-bandaging Kristopher's wrists. She wasn't going to say any more on the matter for now, he was still vulnerable from everything that had happened. The fact he was still staying with her said it all.

Kristopher sighed as he watched her pull up his long sleeve. He wished she didn't really, but she did so anyways. He watched the old bloody bandage from last night fall away and his green eyes stared down at the "T" shaped cut on his wrist. The boy kinda had an idea on what he was doing.
He was going to do both, down the street and across to make sure he bleed. of course he got across down and he started to go up when piper came in and so the spine of the "T" ended and inch and a half down the wrist/arm, it made a perfect "T". Of course now that was stitched up and being cleaned once again by Piper. Lucky for her, he only got to one wrist.
"You'll have some scarring but hopefully not much if we keep it clean...promise me something, don't do that again. You've got too many people who love you to leave behind."
"Right." He said shortly with a deep sigh and tired to pull his arm back as she began to re-wrap it. "C-Can you just leave it alone now?" He asked her carefully. "Someone could come in . . . and see what I tired to do. Granted it isn't their business. . . but still." He said in a very small voice. "I don't want to be questioned anymore. . . on anything. So can we do something else. . . please?" He asked, feeling nervous and edgy suddenly out of the blue as he stared at his wrist.

Oh. Kyle was pissed. No he wasn't he was worried. No, he was pissed. No, worried. N-- GAH! He didn't know what the hell he was feeling at the moment. In truth it was probably a mixture of both, with a few other things thrown in. Sarah had come home the other night absolutely furious. Apparently the impossible had happened, Kris and Augy had broken up. He could see why Sarah was angry about it, she had an overprotective streak that could rival his own. As for him, he was just stunned. The one thing he'd never expected was for Kris and Augy to fall apart, he'd thought they'd loved each other too much for that to ever happen. But it seemed that he was wrong. Sure, he'd noticed that something had been odd with Kris lately but this? It was simply beyond his understanding.
Now he was marching up the hall, mind utterly scattered. Kris hadn't been in his room, and from the looks of things hadn't been there in days. It had taken a bit of digging but he'd found out that Kris had been staying with a girl named Piper. That confused him as well, both because he really hadn't thought his brother went for girls, and because that name just sounded so damn familiar. Where the hell have i heard it before? He was certain he'd never met someone by that name, so perhaps Kris had mentioned her once? Whatever the case, that wasn't the issue. The issue was that he was hunting for Kris. He would have gone immediately after finding out, except for the fact that he had to take care of Sarah. In the emotional state she'd been in, there was no telling what she might have done. So he'd spent the last few days calming her down and keeping her too busy to think about such things.
Entering the dorm without a sound, he quickly moved over to the door he'd been told led to her room. On impulse his hand reached for the doorknob, but he stopped himself. It just wouldn't do for him to go barging into some girls room. For all he knew she could be changing or something. So he just knocked, and then waited for someone to answer. Unfortunately this gave him time to think, and the worry overtook him. He knew how much Kris depended on Augy, and he knew what Kris might do if that something happened to them, which it had. Through it all, Kyle was just worried that his little brother might have harmed himself. Which was why if someone didn't open the door soon, he was kicking it in.

Piper finished wrapping the bandage and pulled Kristopher's sleeve gently back down...she didn't want to hurt him but she couldn't leave it alone either. The dark haired girl sighed, it was hard to know what to do here, she was no expert in anything like this but all Piper could do was try. She squeezed Kristopher's hand gently. Although he had come to her because he was in trouble...she had been glad of the real company, someone she didn't feel threatened by.
"Ok..."
Then the bang at Piper's door distracted her...she wasn't expecting anyone. Hell...when did she? Piper might a sign for Kris to stay seated before wandering over to the door and only opening it part ways so she could see who it was before opening the door fully. She studied the guy outside her room and realised she had seen him before...although she couldn't quite place whe-Oh god, the bathroom that time! How awkward. Piper cleared her throat before speaking.
"Erm, do you need something?"

Kristopher sat on the bed and took his wrist back quickly and pulled the sleeves past his hands and left it like that. His cheerful mood went down the hill and he frowned lightly. Then the knock came at the door and it startled the blond. He looked up and then at Piper. He wasn't sure what to say but he stayed put.
"Erm, do you need something?"
He was hoping it wasn't Augusta, he wasn't ready to deal with the boy, not yet, not right now. And so he started at the door to see who it was, and he was surprised to see it was his brother. He could barely see him with how the bed was positioned, but he could tell you it was by the hair.
Crap.

]It was hard for him to keep from fidgeting as he waited. Under normal circumstances he was a generally patient person, but then these weren't normal circumstances. There was a very a good chance that his brother might have tried to kill himself, or worse, succeeded. He wasn't sure what he'd do if something happened to his little brother. It was hard enough when he was just trying to survive and keep Sarah out of harms way. Now he was the head of the family, and it was up to him to make sure that nothing bad ever befell his newfound family. That was why his fingers where drumming dents into his knee.
"Erm, do you need something?"
His eyes widen in surprise as the girl appeared, face turning red as he took a half step backwards. Her?! Ah dammit. I knew that name sounded familiar. This was the girl that he'd walked in on some weeks ago while she was taking a shower. He was still utterly embarrassed by it, he hadn't even told Sarah about it. Now here this girl was, apparently hiding his brother. "Umm... I-i'm looking fo--" As he spoke he saw something behind the girl, a flash of bright golden hair. Bingo.
Ever so gently he pushed past the girl and marched into the room, almost glaring at Kris. It was quite obvious that he wasn't quite himself, but then he almost always wore long sleeve shirts so that couldn't be used as an indicator. There was just something that tipped Kyle off that things weren't right, and he was bound and determined to find out. "What did you do Kris?" He could guess already, but it would be much better if Kris just came clean. Of course he had no solid evidence but then that was the point of a bluff. And he'd been perfecting his poker face for years.
