Kristopher stood in one of the many isles of the Library. In his arms where many books, he was carrying a good twenty pounds in books and with the help of his older brother, who he was currently handing the books too. Another task that was assigned to them by their boogie, Naelona. Work together and like it.
Well, for the short haired Kristopher this was pretty easy seeing as his brain was all messed up still, even though he had gotten better. He was a much easier person to get along with. He wasn't as cold as he used to be, he supposed that was because he couldn't remember how he used to be like and was now, just being himself without all the mask he used to wear that protected him from humans and boogies alike.
Holding out another book to his brother, Kristopher looked thoughtful for a moment. "Hey, Kyle." Started Kristopher softly as he then shifted the books in his arms to stop the pain in his right arm. His green gaze went towards his brother, "Another person has gone missing I hear. . .do you think it's true?" Asked the younger brother carefully.
"About the. . .you know. . .rebellion and all. I mean, it sounds rather iffy and pretty risky. I-I mean what can they do here? Not like they can get us home or anything." Kristopher then handed a second book to his brother.

Kyle wasn't quite as comfortable at the moment as his brother was. It wasn't because of the work, he never minded running errands for his mistress. Nor was it because of the company, despite their little spat a while back he dearly loved his little brother. No, it was because something was seriously wrong. Kris had short hair. Not only that, but he was acting as though he had no recollection of what had happened in their lives. And perhaps most disturbing of all, he hadn't heard Kris utter a single word about Augusta. That meant something was definitely up. He knew how much Kris cared about the Frenchman, it was the same way he felt about Sarah. So if Kris wasn't rattling on about Augy, then something had definitely happened.
Taking the books from his brother, he was silent for a moment. He had heard word of it as well, but that was all. Though he held no ill will towards his mistress, he knew that some of the children had plenty of reason to hate their masters. And banding together was the only way they could keep from breaking under the strain. Kyle understood that much, if not for Sarah he would have broken long ago. He sighed cradling the books in one arm as the other scratched an itch at the back of his head. "I'm not sure Kris. They don't have much hope of accomplishing anything. Maybe they realize that, maybe they don't. But their desperate. Who knows what they may try to do. Let's just hope they don't do anything too stupid eh?" He took the other book, mind swirling with problems and questions. But not a single answer.

Kristopher chuckled a bit, "Well, I hope they don't do anything stupid. I don't need more then twenty people stuck in the hospital for me to run around and try to get them better. Cause with my luck, they would be back the following day." He stated with a small smile and a shake of the head. Then he shifted the books again.
"I never knew books could be so heavy." He stated with a bit of surprise, "It's like carrying bricks on your arms rather then paper and binding...shees. Well at least I haven't picked up one of those books with teeth yet." He pointed out, but just the mere thought of picking up a book like that sent shivers down his spine. He had been chased by one of those books before, it was not a fun time at all.
The younger brother stared at the older for a long moment, "What's wrong? You seem a bit off today. Are you feeling well or has Sarah beat you with a stick for being overprotective?" He asked with a bit of amusement at the end of his sentence. He still had no idea what was going on between his brother and sister and sometimes, it might be best not to know. Speaking of which, he had to wonder for a moment what his roommates where up to.

He chuckled at his brothers words, it wasn't the first time he'd heard about the boy's medical woes. Unlike the rest of his family, Kris was the one with the drive to help others. Kyle was a nice guy, but only to a select group. He wasn't like Kris, most of the world didn't matter to him. But it did to Kris. Despite his own poor health, he was always down at the hospital tending to the sick and injured. It was admirable really. There were times when Kyle thought it'd be nice to be like that. For the most part however, he was content with what he had. "Probably. They seem to like spending time with you."
With a smile he stepped closer to, taking a few of the larger books from his brother's pile. "That's because your the smart one. Leave the manual labor to the lunkhead." He chuckled again, it was a bit true really. Kyle was by no means stupid, but he was rather ignorant. He knew how to deal with the material world, how to handle things as they came. Kris was the one with the real knowledge of the complicated things, even if he was blond. As for the biting books, they didn't bother Kyle. The last one that had come at him had gotten a boot in the teeth, and the one before that had War and Peace shoved in its mouth.
Kyle smirked at that. They still hadn't told Kris about their relationship. Perhaps that was a good thing, the boy had enough problems to deal with without finding out that his brother and sister were dating. Even so, Kyle felt the urge to tell him. He didn't like secrets. "Its nothing really. I'm just thinking of some things." He stopped there, turning towards the shelves. There was another book there that they needed to get, but it was up rather high. He reached half way up to before he stopped, resting his hand on one of the shelves. His face was still turned away, but he made sure to carefully conceal any emotion from his voice. "Hey Kris. What happened to your hair?"

"Probably. They seem to like spending time with you."
"Well, that's nice and all, but I do have a life and it might be small but I still have one and I dont want to spend all day at the hospital. Beyond popular belief." The blond pointed out and was more then happy to have his brother take away the larger books. This made his arms feel a lot better. Man, he really needed to put some muscle on or something. He wasn't as strong as his older brother was and that was a fact. Hell, even his sister could probably beat him up. . .sad but true.
"That's because your the smart one. Leave the manual labor to the lunkhead."
"Well, someones got to be the smart one in this family and it might as well be me. After all , I can't even carry books without feeling like I am carrying a fifty pound bag of potatos or something to that extent." He joked and then tilted his head to the side at his brothers next words, but he did not press the issue. Best to let the other bring it up if he wants to talk about it.
"Hey Kris. What happened to your hair?"
The blond paused and blinked a few times, was it really so strange to see him with short hair? It seemed to take everyone by surprise lately and he didn't understand why. "I--It was cut, he said it was too long, so I fixed it." He stuttered lightly and then shook his head, "I don't see why everyone is so surprised and concern about me just cause my hair was cut off. . .it's not that shocking is it?" The blond asked carefully, his eyes averted else where and his weight shifted to his right, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

Though he smiled a bit, he remained silent at his brother's words. It was true that Kris was far from being as strong as Kyle was. That was mostly because he'd been so sickly all his life, though the fact that Kyle had did quite a bit of construction work and such didn't help his case. And it wasn't really that bad a thing to say that Sarah could kick his ass, she could probably kick Kyle's to. That girl was a fighter through and through, he doubted there was any human she couldn't beat one on one. There were most likely a few boogies she could whoop too, if not for those odd powers of theirs. Not to mention the fact that boogies didn't exactly play fair. There was also the fact that she'd never get the chance to fight a boogie if Kyle had anything to say about it, he'd be the one doing the fighting.
"I--It was cut, he said it was too long, so I fixed it."
That was extremely odd right there. He knew Kris wasn't referring to Augusta, the french boy loved Kris' hair the way it was. So then who? Who was it who's opinion could possible mean more to the boy than his boyfriend? It just didn't add up. "He?" A simple question, that was all that was required. Anything more would have been unnecessary, and probably would have only pushed the boy further away. Even so, he turned to look at him, brow arched at his words. "It doesn't suit you Kris, not at all." And it didn't. As long his he'd known him Kris had always had long hair, even as a child. That was the way it had always been and the way it was supposed to be. This was just not normal.

"He?"
"Erm," The boy suddenly felt like he was between a rock and a hard place at the moment. How was he supposed to answer that? What was he supposed to say? That a guy came up to him and ripped his hair out before cutting it when he was ill and then promptly declared he was his boyfriend and not Augusta? But Augusta was his boyfriend but he didn't remember a lot of it and thus he was confused and lost as hell.
But Kristopher didn't say any of it, "I just thought a change would be nice..." he cleared his throat a bit and handed his brother another book.
"It doesn't suit you Kris, not at all."
The green eyed boy blinked and then sighed, "I've been getting that a lot lately, even Naelona flipped until she realized that while its growing back out, it's going to have a bit of curl and a lot of wave to it." He sighed, "I hate curls. . .and waves. . .makes me look more like a girl then a guy."

This was one of those times when Kyle's natural intelligence kicked in. He could tell that he was putting Kris in a hard place, which wasn't good. The boy didn't do well when under pressure, and he highly doubted he would anything out of him at the moment. He'd have to try later, try and get a little bit at a time out without Kris realizing it. It would take a while, but he wanted to know what was going on with his little brother. No one messed with his family, not unless they wanted his boot up their ass.
With a sigh he closed his eyes and tilted his head. A moment later he smiled gently, stepping forward and placing a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Alright then." That wasn't it, he knew that much. If Kris had felt like a change, then he'd had eighteen years to make it. There was no way he'd suddenly decide something like that. Taking the book he half turned, reaching up and pulling down the one he'd been after before.
He couldn't help but crack a grin as Kris spoke, that did sound an awful lot like their mistress. Despite what she claimed, he knew she had a bit of a soft spot for Kris. That was good, he wouldn't want his little brother to have been claimed by one of those psychotic boogies. With a lopsided grain he tilted his head again, poking Kris lightly. "But you are, and such a pretty little girl. We're going to have to get you in a dress sometime." Now that, ladies and gentlemen, would be funny as hell.

"But you are, and such a pretty little girl. We're going to have to get you in a dress sometime."
The younger brother twitched a brow at Kyle and narrowed his green eyes slightly with a blush of embarrassment on his face. Oh no his brother just did not say that to him! Kristopher was all man and not a bit of a woman! "I don't think so! You will never catch me cross dressing ever! Just because I am slightly on the gay side of life does not make me a cross dresser!" The blond shudder at the thought.
He could just see it, him in a pretty lace dress at knee length with bows and and all that girly stuff. Plus with how his golden locks where, oh god he would make such a pretty girl! But he would never cross dress, not until hell froze over or if Augusta threatened to leave him---then he MIGHT, just MIGHT put one on.
"First you wear a pretty little dress and then we will see about me flaunting one around." He shook his head wondered what the day was going to bring. "I am not wearing pantyhose. . ."

It took every bit of willpower he had to keep a straight face as Kris ranted on, especially when he felt like simply dropping to the floor and laughing till he passed out. Really, it was so easy to tease the boy. Living here in this world where everyone was depressed twenty four seven, he highly doubted the boy got much in the way of jokes.
"First you wear a pretty little dress and then we will see about me flaunting one around."
Kyle's eyes widen in mock surprise, a completely believable look of fake astonishment on his face. "Well now. There's a thought." He put a hand to his chin, looking for all the world as though he was thinking this over. "Get me a little strapless number, light blue maybe. Then perhaps some heels and garters. I betcha I'd look damn good. So hot that you'd prolly go and try to get me in bed." A foxlike grin crept onto his face as he winked at his brother. As far as Kris could tell his brother was being entirely serious about the matter. He highly doubted Kris could tell he was just screwing around, hell he probably didn't even know that his older brother had a since of humor. Most people didn't, it wasn't exactly a fact he advertised.

"Well now. There's a thought."
Kristopher looked at his brother like he had gone psychotic. He was seriously thinking about wearing a dress wasn't he? Just to torment little Kristopher Allen Roberts! Oh the evil world of siblings! The boy almost dropped his books! Actually, two of them did slip out of his thin arms and smack into the library floor rather loudly.
"Get me a little strapless number, light blue maybe. Then perhaps some heels and garters. I betcha I'd look damn good. So hot that you'd prolly go and try to get me in bed."
The look of horror appeared on Kristopher's face and he dropped all the books and grabbed his brother by the shoulders and shook him. Which was really funny seeing as Kyle was much taller then Kris. "Don't you dare do that to me!" He said a bit high pitched. "Don't you care, I don't wanna look like a girl and you would probably make a pretty girl and then and then and then! Ahh, can you picture all the looks I would get if I dressed as a Lolita?!" Yes, Kristopher did not realize his brother was just messing with him.
But this was just too damn funny.
"I don't think I can even walk in high heels!"

This was a moment Kyle would remember all his life. In fact, he wished he had a video camera so he could play it over and over. Or at least a camera, the look on Kris' face was just priceless. It seemed that he had done just as planned and fallen for every word. That was just wonderful, it made it far more fun that Kris actually believed him. Unfortunately for Kris, it also concreted his predicament. Kyle was going to drag this out as long as he could.
When Kris dropped the books and started shaking him, it was all he could do to maintain a look of shock. On the inside he was laughing his ass off, both at his brother's freak out and the fact the fact that he was squeaking like a little mouse. He grabbed the boy's shoulders, easily holding him still. "Hehe Oh yeah, i can imagine. We could parade you down the hall. I bet there'd be whistles coming from every direction, not to mention the hordes of drooling men and women. Why i bet most everyone in Wonderland would be wanting to get a piece of my lovely little sis." Another wink and a grin was sent at his brother, the boy having entirely too much fun. "And don't worry about the heels, we'll just get you some platform pumps." Kris was going to kill him.

'' I don't think I can even walk in high heels! ''
W-Who was shouting such an odd thing in the library? Terrence looked up from the book he was holding and turned towards the noise. He walked silently through the halls to hear the conversation about cross dressing... Oh god the memories of when his old roommate dressed him up in that horrible Gothic Lolita outfit..
As he turned to go down the aisle of books, his forehead rammed into the corner of the the bookshelf. He was still getting use to only seeing through one eye. It was odd to say the least. He stopped as he noticed both the Roberts and looked down silently.
'' E-excuse me... but please stop talking about such odd things in the library... '' he whispered, his soft voice rang like bells.

Oh god! No, no, no! He did not wanted to be whistled at or even get perverted looks from people! This was embarrassing and his face just kept getting more and more red. He was pretty sure his green eyes where the size of dinner plates right about now. "Oh no, you wouldn't do that too me!" The blond shook his head, "T--T--That isn't right! That is just asking for "Surprise" and not in the fun way, Kyle!" The boy whimpered in horror!
'' E-excuse me... but please stop talking about such odd things in the library... ''
Wait! A voice! SALVATION!
Without a second thought Kristopher pulled away from Kyle and went to Terry and grabbed the boy by the shoulders as if he could save him. It was even funnier when you take the height issue into this...
"Terry! Oh god, save me! Kyle, my brother, thinks it would be great to put me in a dress!"
"And don't worry about the heels, we'll just get you some platform pumps."
"AHHH!" He promptly then picked up Terry and held him out in front of him. "Terrence! Don't let him dress me up like a girl! I don't like "Surprises" not even from Augusta or Micheal or Naelona...or or or ANYONE!"

Alright. There was a certain point where things stopped being funny. Unfortunately for Kris this was the exact opposite of that point. Kyle couldn't contain it anymore, he busted out laughing so hard his ribs hurt already. Kris looked like Kyle had on a number of occasions, most notably that time he'd been perving on Lily. If Kris face wasn't funny enough, the word 'surprise' was. That was just so friggen hilarious! And the worst part was, he could definitely see that happening.
He barely noticed the new arrival, he was too busy laughing his ass off. At this point he was doubled over, gripping his sides as he fought to breathe. He didn't know who the little one was, but it was just so damn funny how Kris was holding onto him for dear life. Especially seeing as Kris was about twice the boy's size.
"Terrence! Don't let him dress me up like a girl! I don't like "Surprises" not even from Augusta or Micheal or Naelona...or or or ANYONE!"
That stopped him cold. The laughter immediately died as he righted himself. He knew two of those names, and he knew what Kris meant when he used their names and 'surprise' in the same sentence. But the third was a mystery. He'd never heard of Kris speak of any 'Michael', nor had he heard anyone else mention the name. Things were starting to add up. This Michael must have been the one that made Kris cut his hair. Well, as the head of the family there was only on thing he could do. He was going to have to stick his foot so far up the little bastards ass he'd taste the rubber on the bottom of his boot.
