" I... It's not just an eye...It's not that I think badly of you but... That... thing... You know how I feel about them and I just... cannot accept that one of their... eyes is apart of you..."
Kristopher sighed, tilting his head into his loves hand. "You're going to have to accept this...just because I have...this doesn't make me any less human." He said softly, "It's not like I have an powers...or a familiar or anything for that matter, Augusta. I'm still me." He didn't like that Augusta barely looked at him, let alone say much of anything.
He knew it was going to be a shocker, but really...
"I know its a shock, love. But..." He sighed again, but was he supposed to do now? Even Augusta's touch was off, it was so cautious like he was afraid that the eye was going to bite him or something. Chewing on his lips for a moment, Kristopher leaned over on his knees.
"For Christ sake, Augusta, look at me!" Kristopher didn't wait for a reply, he reached over and took either side of Augusta's head and turned it so he was face to face with Kris and reality. "It's just an eye! It. can't. do. anything. There isn't any reason to be afraid of it. I know its scary to look at, I have to look at it everyday. But you know what? I'm glad I have this eye cause now I don't have to worry about going blind, or running into something dangerous, Augusta."
The blond wasn't yelling, nor was he screaming. He was talking in a soft voice, trying to get through to his love that everything was fine. "I understand you don't like them...but you have to accept this, I can't get rid of the eye and I won't anyways. I love you to death, so please...don't turn away from me..." He knew he was pushing buttons already and man handling his love wasn't going to help probably.
But he needed Augusta, he needed him to understand and not look at him with fear or hate because of his eye. Furthermore, Kris didn't want to keep this eye covered anymore...it was usable now.

The dark haired man glanced over at his lighter haired counterpart. Kris was right, it wasn't like his little blond had become a Boogie or anything. But something inside Augusta couldn't accept this, couldn't understand, couldn't handle it, just... couldn't. When he felt Kristopher put a hand on each side of his face, his own hand fell from Kris's face. He looked at Kris at first with shock, then with a slightly cautious expression. Even though everything Kristopher was saying was correct, all those things were reasonable, they weren't really what Augy was worried about.
"It's just an eye! It. can't. do. anything. There isn't any reason to be afraid of it. I know its scary to look at, I have to look at it everyday. But you know what? I'm glad I have this eye cause now I don't have to worry about going blind, or running into something dangerous, Augusta. I understand you don't like them...but you have to accept this, I can't get rid of the eye and I won't anyways. I love you to death, so please...don't turn away from me..."
I guess nobody said this was gonna be easy... he thought and then sighed. The Frenchman stared absently at the red eye that was, in turn, staring at him. " It's not that I'm afraid... Kris... Do you really know anything about this thing? Did anybody tell you this was safe? I'm more worried, I guess, more then anything else. That thing could hurt you at any moment, nobody knows what that eye is capable of... "
Augusta let out another sigh and let his hand drift up to the blond's face again, he used his large and long-fingered hand to cover up the blonds eyes. He leaned closer to the blond and kissed him softly. Then he pulled away just an inch, " I... I don't know... I'm just a worry-wart I guess... I just want whats best for you, and I don't think this is it... It's better then you being blind but... " he let out a soft groan, it was easy to tell that the man was having a hard time saying these things so openly.
" I'm doing all this for you... Everything..."

In truth, Kristopher really didn't like the cautious experssion, even if it was only a slight one. He just didn't like it and he wasn't sure why. However, he supposed Augusta had every right to be cautious about it but it wasn't like he was going to eat his soul, or Kristopher's for that reason.
" It's not that I'm afraid... Kris... Do you really know anything about this thing? Did anybody tell you this was safe? I'm more worried, I guess, more then anything else. That thing could hurt you at any moment, nobody knows what that eye is capable of... "
That thought hadn't occured to Kristopher yet, and probably wouldn't of either if Augusta didn't bring it up. Now it was Kristopher's turn to look concerned for a moment, although it was brief, he shook his head. "I don't think its dangerous, Augusta. Naelona wouldn't give it to me if it was, believe it or not, she won't hurt me unless I'm out of line. She cares enough to keep me safe, even if she doesn't realize it." Kristopher honestly didn't think it was going to hurt him, even if it was from a boogie and boogies are known to consume humans in all forms. So he could see where Augusta would be concerned.
" I... I don't know... I'm just a worry-wart I guess... I just want whats best for you, and I don't think this is it... It's better then you being blind but... "
"And you covering my eyes to kiss me does what?" He asked, annoyed by the action. But he did not brush the hand away like he wanted too. He supposed it pissed him off because he felt like Augusta didn't accept him fully. Time would fix it, as long as neither of them got seriously pissed off. "I understand you want things to be good for me, but sometimes good isn't what I always need..."
" I'm doing all this for you... Everything..."
"Have you," He paused for a moment trying to phrase what he wanted to say correctly and in a nice maner, but it just wasn't going to happen. Raising his hand, he brushed the other hand from his face. "ever thought that maybe, I don't want you doing all of what you do? Especially, for me."
Kristopher's expression had gone serious, "I don't like death, even if it's a boogie. It's like Sparta, everyone is going to die if this keeps going, Augusta." His voice was soft as a whisper, he knew better then to say these things too loduly. "It's not very romantic hearing your loved one say, 'But I did it for you' while someone is bleeding from the throat."

"I don't think its dangerous, Augusta. Naelona wouldn't give it to me if it was, believe it or not, she won't hurt me unless I'm out of line. She cares enough to keep me safe, even if she doesn't realize it."
Augusta let out a small huff of disapproval at those words. He trusted Nealona about as far as he could throw her. She may be nice to Kristopher, but she was not nice to anyone else. Augy knew that everyone was out to get him and Kris apart, and Nae was one of them. He knew that for sure. He didn't trust the eye, and he certainly didn't trust Naelona.
"And you covering my eyes to kiss me does what? I understand you want things to be good for me, but sometimes good isn't what I always need..."
" The eye freaks me out, OKAY!? HAPPY NOW?!" Augusta sighed angrily and when Kris batted his hand away he happily moved back. The Frenchman shuffled away from the blond as he talked. Augusta was about .5% away from busting a gasket. This was getting to be too much, too much to think about, too fast. Everything was overwhelming him again, and he couldn't take it. He just... this was too much for him to handle. And soon a land mine was going to go off. A very big landmine at that.
"Have you, ever thought that maybe, I don't want you doing all of what you do? Especially, for me. I don't like death, even if it's a boogie. It's like Sparta, everyone is going to die if this keeps going, Augusta. It's not very romantic hearing your loved one say, 'But I did it for you' while someone is bleeding from the throat."
Augusta kept his gaze at the ground, but he was scowling, everything was boiling over by this point. " I DON'T CARE IF IT'S ROMANTIC!!!" he yelled at the ground. Then he struggled and stood up, hand clenched into tight fists. " YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!" then his voice decreased in volume but his harsh tone was still there. " You're just so... passive... you take everything in stride... How can you just stand there and take what the Boogie throw at you!? I know you hate it here but you never actually do anything!! Yeah... well... I can't so that. I refuse to let the Boogies control me or determine what I should do with my life... I will not[/i] let them use me... Never again!"

" The eye freaks me out, OKAY!? HAPPY NOW?!"
Kristopher didn't even try to keep him from moving away. He let the frenchy do what he wanted. Kristopher stood slowly and took up the disgarded eye patch and stuffed it into his pocket. There wasn't a reason to wear it anymore, and he would unless he had too or was ordered to wear it.
" I DON'T CARE IF IT'S ROMANTIC!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!
"Oh shut the hell up!" Kristopher stated as he put a hand to the side of his head. "I was being sarcastic you ass, and I understand more then you really know. I might be blond but I am NOT a moron!" Kristopher pulled on one of his curls to make the point, letting the hair drop, he glared at his love.
You're just so... passive... you take everything in stride... How can you just stand there and take what the Boogie throw at you!? I know you hate it here but you never actually do anything!! Yeah... well... I can't so that. I refuse to let the Boogies control me or determine what I should do with my life... I will not let them use me... Never again!"
"You know what? I can. You think this little battle is going to fix everything! But its NOT!" Kristopher walked up to him, poked him in the chest. "How about you think about it. Just because you take out these Boogies, doesn't mean you can take out the whole damn population and if you did, more would appear. You can't get rid of them, the live off emotions and fears. They will just come BACK, bigger and meaner then ever! We are stuck here until one sends us home or find it in the Labyrinth. We depend on them, who the hell brings us medicines? Who brings us the needed tools to live and survive with? They do!"
Kristopher was so pissed off right now that he really didn't care if he got loud or not. He wanted to make a point to Augusta, that this fight was pointless and he was wasting his life on it as well as others. "I do what I need too, to survive. As for doing nothing, yeah, I don't fight cause I physically can not and you know it! So, I do the other, instead of hurting others I heal them, damn'it! I do what others won't or too afraid too! Its harder to save a life then it is to take it! Think about that for a change!"
The blond tore away from the older boy then and ran his hands through his hair wildly. "You're so fucking big headed!" He shook his head with a small weak laugh, turning he faced Augusta. "You think I'll turn into a monster because of my eye and what it could do. You are already turning into one of them. All you think about is violence, it's all you act on, its all you do anymore!"
A tired pause.
"When was the last time you made a clock, Augusta? You haven't touched one in months."

Augusta was a bit taken back by this. Kris never usually got angry, not like this. Sure Augy was still pissy but seeing Kristopher poke him and spit logical answers at him was a different sight. It was not something you could see every day. Kristopher never yelled but apparently this whole fight had gotten to both of them. Augusta let out an aggravated sigh and took a step back from Kris, folding his arms across his chest. He wasn't going to give in, not today. Kristopher could reason with him all day long, he wasn't going to give up...
"I do what I need too, to survive. As for doing nothing, yeah, I don't fight cause I physically can not and you know it! So, I do the other, instead of hurting others I heal them, damn'it! Augusta glared at the blond, " So what? Why do you care if I turn into a monster or not? You have plenty of people who will take my place. Hell! I bet Nealona would love to have you back! Plus even if I did start to become a monster you wouldn't leave me. You care too much... I don't really know why you do anymore. I'm really a lost cause, I'm already a monster, so why do you even stay if I hurt you so much?" Augusta shook his head and sighed. But the next line Kris said made him look at Kris with curiosity and a bit of shock.
"When was the last time you made a clock, Augusta? You haven't touched one in months."
"It's been awhile..."

Kristopher stopped in his tracks and stared at Augusta. His face unreadable for a moment. Kristopher lowered his hands and then bend down, picking up the little picnic they had and putting it away back into the basket he had stuffed it into. He couldn't look at Augusta anymore, not now. "I do care too much, don't I?" The blond pressed his lips together as he put a glass away.
"You're like my mother, hell even your are like your own. All you do is look for a fight and if you can't find one, you make one." The blond stuffed things away, not caring if he made a mess and once it was down, he raised his two colored eyes up at him from his spot on the ground, hovering over the basket.
"I care way to fucking much when you don't. You are like those women, you are turning cold, violent and acting like a fucking monster more then a human being! When did you turn into them? Even your goddamn eyes are looking like your mothers!" He pointed at Augusta, and just stared at him with those two colored eyes that where such a mix of emotions. Why was he even bothering to get through to Augusta? Why did he care so fucking much when he shouldn't. He should just walk away from Augusta, leave him and go back to the way of life he used to lead. But he couldn't, he couldn't break away from Augusta cause he loved him too damn much. He cared about him, his health and his mental states.
It was going to be the death of him, that much he was sure of, "Kender is better company then you are anymore." He turned his head away from Augusta then, a hand lowered to grasp the basket. Maybe he should just leave...and let him cool down.

"I do care too much, don't I? You're like my mother, hell even your are like your own. All you do is look for a fight and if you can't find one, you make one."
Augusta felt his heart skip. Not with sadness but with anger. He clenched his fists and watched with a dark look as Kristopher picked up their picnic. He almost seemed to seep wrath as he stood there, he felt his gut tighten, he was so... angry.
"I care way to fucking much when you don't. You are like those women, you are turning cold, violent and acting like a fucking monster more then a human being! When did you turn into them? Even your goddamn eyes are looking like your mothers!"
Augusta looked away, he looked angry but something else also lingered in the way he breathed, the way the raven-haired man stood. Shame, he was angry but ashamed and it showed. " You're a liar..." he said darkly, his tone softer then normal. " I don't know when this happened to me, but I'm not like them. And you didn't even know my mother, so quit fucking acting like you do!" he said and kicked dirt at Kris.
"Kender is better company then you are anymore."
" The how about you go take care of the cat then!!" he said and suddenly the tone changed. " Cause that thing is all you actually care about!! Plus you have Corvus too! How about you go take care of him!!" his voice was no longer angry, it was something different. " Plus you loved him before you loved me anyway! I'm just your newest charity case right? Somebody to help, cause that's what you do! You fox people!" Augusta showed more emotions then normal. And because Kris was so good at reading Augy, he would see the biggest thing was fear. Behind the violence and anger was fear. Fear and shame.
Shame, lots of it.

" You're a liar..."
"I don't lie, Augusta. I promised I wouldn't with you, remember?"
" I don't know when this happened to me, but I'm not like them. And you didn't even know my mother, so quit fucking acting like you do!"
Kristopher raised his arm to block the dirt from hitting him in the face, just a normal reaction to getting dirt kicked at you. "From what I've heard, shes like my mother, but without the drugs." He lowered the arm slowly and looked at Augusta.
" Cause that thing is all you actually care about!! Plus you have Corvus too! How about you go take care of him!! Plus you loved him before you loved me anyway! I'm just your newest charity case right? Somebody to help, cause that's what you do! You fox people!"
Kristopher's expression was unreadable, he lowered his eyes and looked away. "Don't say that." he said softly. "You know it isn't true. I've never thought of you as a charity case." He didn't say anything about Corvus. It was true he had feelings for him but still, "I turned Corvus away...but I guess it doesn't matter." The blond stood up, holding the basket with a small sigh.
"You know this..."

"Don't say that. You know it isn't true. I've never thought of you as a charity case."
Augusta watched the blond and sighed, he put both of his hands on his face. He tried to breath tried to calm down, tried not to break down. He took his hands away from his face and let them hang at his sides. " I... I know..." he said softly. He rubbed his neck and sighed,he was confused. Emotion-wise.
"I turned Corvus away...but I guess it doesn't matter. You know this..."
" I know that!" he said sharply before trying to relax again. He was on a short string, he sighed softly. His leather jacket was like a shield now, hiding him from the world. He was angry but not, scared but not. He was mixed in every way possible. He pulled at the collar of his shirt, another one of those odd habits like with Kris and the edges of his sleeves. But as he pulled and fidgeted with the collar of his shirt he didn't realize what he was showing. He just happened to be showing off a clearly definable bite mark, and a black and blue circle near it. And if he had seen Kris more often Kris might have seen the bite marks and other hardcore hickeys that matched the two lying on his neck. But as of late, Augy came home late and never slept in the same bed. And if he did he always fell asleep in his clothes.
" I know you rejected Corvus but... " he looked at his shoes for a moment. He felt like a beaten dog, ashamed and unwanted.

" I know you rejected Corvus but... "
"Then stop bringing him up, its like you think I'm cheat--" His mismatched eyes locked onto the markings on Augusta's neck almost instantly. At frist, he wasn't sure what it was but then he knew, dropping the basket he moved towards Augusta and grabbed his collar and moved his neck to the side.
"Augusta..." He said slowly, staring at the bite marks. "Why do you have these." They weren't made by him, he knew that because he and Augusta hadn't shared a bed in a very long time it seemed. Now he was starting to wonder if this was the reason why and not because he wanted nothing to do with him anymore...or if he found him less pleasing.
He looked up with at Augusta with confused eyes, he wasn't sure what to make of the marks. His hand clenched to the collar of the shirt like a life line. Who would do this, other then one person...but that person promised not to do aything as long as Kristopher kept his word and the blond had kept his word to the point of making his realtionship hard to deal with.
"Please tell me, that..that master of yours isn't the cause of this..." If it was, oh god. Kristopher would have a word with him and probably get into serious trouble, again. But he was keeping that boogie with his word...if he broke it.

"Then stop bringing him up, its like you think I'm cheat--"
"Kris I don't think--" Augusta suddenly saw the look at Kristopher's face and frowned softly. He saw the boy drop the basket and come at him like a wildfire. Augusta took a step back but he was too late, Kris grabbed his collar and moved his neck over. If Kris looked closer he could see that the marks traveled under the raven-haired mans shirt as well. Augusta looked over with fear at the blond. He tried to pull away but he couldn't.
"Augusta... Why do you have these."
Augusta looked away, like he was hiding his face. " It's n--nothing...!" he said and tried to move, but it only moved his shirt more and showed off more marks. " R--really it's n--no big deal I--I just..."
"Please tell me, that...that master of yours isn't the cause of this..."
Augusta kept his gaze away from Kris, refusing to make eye contact. A sure sign that it was in fact, Jouhnin's doing. " H--he had nothing t--to do with it!" he said and shifted, but after a second or two he gave up. The man relaxed, he gave up. Kris knew it was Jou and there was nothing he could do about it. " H--he had me co--cornered Kris... I--I..." he paused and reached down to lift his black shirt up a bit. Just above Augusta's pants line was a long burn mark, " I... I tried t--to run... But... H--he... "
Augusta was slowly breaking down. His mind was buckling under the stress, " K--Kris he had this d--drug stuff and..." and there went the tears. " I--I told h--him t--to stop b--but..." tears and Augusta was apparently shaken by this whole thing. But Kris knew Augy well, and Kris knew that the one thing Augy feared more then small spaces was that. Augy had hidden his pain really well until now.

Kristopher released Augusta and pulled away from the dark haired boy. "That bastard." Kristopher muttered to himself and didn't look at what Augusta showed him. He didn't need to see it nor did he want too. The blond was pissed and annoyed now. Seriously, why could Jou keep his fucking words and keep his hands off Augusta!
Maybe he could convince Nae to win Augusta and take him away or maybe Corvus. But he doubt either would do it, they would be so much happier if Augusta was dead. "It's fine." The blond said as he pushed down Augusta's shirt.
"He will get his soon enough, one way or another." that was one boogie Kristopher did have it out for, and the only one too. This was a real problem now. Jou had broken his word, it was pretty damn clear he did but Kristopher wasn't breaking his, not yet. Augusta wasn't ready to hear what Kris had been keeping from him.
"Let's just go, I'm already tired." He wasn't as pissed anymore with Augusta but he wasn't sure where to direct his anger or how to deal with it right now. He wanted to comfort Augusta but at the same time, he didn't want too because he too was still very mad at his love.
Life was too damn complex.
"......" He really didn't know what to say anymore.

"It's fine. He will get his soon enough, one way or another. Let's just go, I'm already tired."
Augusta looked at Kris, then wiped his eyes, sniffed a bit and sighed. He tried to regain his composure as Kris backed away from him. "K--Kris..." he said softly, " Don't go to Jouhnin about this... Please... I can handle it... If you go angry because of it he'll... He will just hurt you... " he said softly he walked up to Kris and held his arm. " I..I'm sorry... But... Just... "
Augusta wasn't sure what to say either. " I don't really hate the cat..." he said softly. It was a random but he had to get it off his chest. "I don't think you're cheating, and I'm just jealous of the cat. There..." he said softly, " I'll admit it... Kender gets more then I do and I'm jealous..." he said and sighed. He had let go of Kristopher's arm by then. " And... I'll a--also admit that the eye isn't so bad... it's creepy... b--but if it hurts you I want to know... "
Augusta shifted and bit before walking over and picking up the basket. " And... I'm sorry for hiding this from you I just... I was scared... I didn't mean to make you feel like I didn't want you anymore either... by sleeping by myself and stuff... I was just... scared... "

The Woods were known for it's creepy inhabitants, and bloodied tastes. It wasn't a Crimson place without ample reason, and on more than one occasion - for more than one reason - was the woods bathed in such a liquid that the River ran constantly red.
Mar had long followed through the branches with an ease, the familiar's little ears picking up sounds near and far, and voices.. The creature was only following his Mistress's directions, following her slave once again. It was a tedious task at times, but the familiar knew where it's fate lied and it wasn't within it's own grubby paws.
A couple trees away the small creature sat still amidst the leaves, watching between the gaps of the dying greenery. His Mistress's concern for Kristopher had been long continuing, and Kristopher was almost a second Master given how often Mar was sent to trail him. These days Naelona hardly refused to allow Mar to stay around her, if the blond was not also there.
Watching the pair, it's anxious little paws tugged and tore at a rotting doll, it's string slack by which it'd been suspended from the large tree. Every now and again a faint tuft of decaying yarn hair might drift down to the forest floor. It's beady little eyes trained exclusively upon the dark haired boy, the familiar watched and waited.
