Heart day. Heart day. HEART DAY.
Serenity was frantic. She had been for a week now in fact. Ever since she'd walked down the hall and just so happened to come up on a few humans discussing the upcoming holiday she hadn't been seen by many other than her familiar, and even he'd left after being buried under clothing for the twelfth time in five minutes. She hadn't even let Zeke into her room since becoming aware of what was coming up, in fact she'd made for sure and for certain that he was off busy with his little friend so that he wouldn't stumble in on her accidentally. That would be disastrous.
Oh, it wasn't that she was doing something horrid or embarrassing or secretive or anything like that, it was just that, to her, Heart Day was THE day. She's always loved it so, because of all of the games and the candies and the adorable outfits and the cute little couples. But now that she was with Zeke it took on a whole new meaning, a far more personal meaning. She felt that she had to look and act utterly perfect for him or else the entire holiday and their relationship would be spoilt forevermore. She had to have the perfect dress, the perfect hair, the perfect nails, the perfect makeup; had to walk with the proper poise, had to act with the proper seriousness, had to not say anything stupid. Perfect, everything had to be perfect.
There was just one problem with that. Everything she tried on, literally every single thing, she didn't think was good enough. None of them were good enough for her Zeke to be seen with her in. She'd gone to the market several times now, making sure no one was about when she did, and bought every dress in sight. But still none of it seemed good enough. She was almost in tears from the total failure and the weeklong lack of sleep. She knew, she just KNEW that she wasn't going to find something in time, that she was going to absolutely ruin everything and Zeke and everyone was going to hate her for it forever.
Luckily she'd eventually passed out just before the date rolled over, still fully clothed in one of the dresses she'd bought. The past few hours had been spent trying on everything in her wardrobe one last time at lightning speed, the tears finally overtaking her as she collapsed on the bed in defeat. The sun was up now however, and she still wasn't awake. It would take a good deal to jolt her from her exhaustion induced sleep. Even the knocking on her door wasn't working.

Heart day...oh boy, Heart day. Unlike his mistress, Zeke was not frantic. In fact he was quite calm. The blond had been kept busy all week before the day in question, doing odd jobs for his mistress and playing with Kris and that Elric kid in the hospital (when he could catch and drag said albino along). He had barely given the approaching holiday any thought. Just another day that he would do what he always did, another holiday he'd grown accustom to every year. He'd given his mistress a rose every year he'd been here, but it had always been anonymous. Zeke had never wanted Serenity to know. At least, that was how he'd been at first. This year was different. This year he wasn't being the secret admirer, he was being the boyfriend. The lover. Oh Kami-sama, what am I supposed to do?! Zeke's calm demeanor had become merely a shell for the worry he kept hidden. For three years he had just escorted Serenity and kept the crush a secret. Now? He was going as her date. But now he wanted to do something...special. Something he knew his Ohime-sama would like. Something for my princess...but...what...?Sitting in his room at his desk at about one in the morning, sleep was not being his friend tonight it seemed, the young man let out a strained sigh and cupped his face in his hands. Something just for his Ohime-sama. But what? What could he do that she would love? Something sweet and loving...was way too normal nowadays! He was always being sweet and affectionate. If Zeke was going to do something special for today, he would need to turn the switch to eleven at least. Blue gems glanced over at the lamp on the table by his bed. It always seemed lit, but he never could remember lighting it tonight. It had just been on... "I got it!" Zeke shot off his bed with a bounce, grinning bright. He had a plan, but to pull it off, he would have to go to the market. NO! No WAY!! This is so stupid!!
Shut up sanity. This is for Serenity!~~~~ Around eight in the morning the trap was set. Zeke lifted his hands to his hair and tied in a last detail, a hair clip, to keep his hair from his eyes. Looking down at his body, the part of him that was sane and had morals as well as his Y-chromosome was utterly embarrassed. This was ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous! But the side of him that was in love with Serenity and couldn't care less about this sort of outfit was smiling still. Once the hair-clip was tied his hands lowered to touch the fabric at his chest. It was tight like that other one...but the color was different. She's going to flip...~Zeke stood up and fluffed it a little, the outfit and his hair, before he walked to the door and out into the hall. He was a little thankful that nobody seemed to be around. They must be at the festival or still asleep. The blue eyed man kept checking around corners though to make sure nobody was there, finally making his sneaky way up to the North wing. There he made his way to her room, his Ohime-sama, and knocked softly at the wood. Ahh, I should have brought flowers too...or something...
I'll buy her chocolate at the carnival! But she wasn't responding. With a little pout the man reached down and fiddled with the knob. It was unlocked, but why wasn't she answering? Zeke shrugged his bare shoulders and started to walk in... Zeke's Outfit

Heart Day. Oh HEART DAY! How much did Shaehern Azhrarn love thee? Let him count the ways! Celebration and chocolates and love letters! Frilly dresses and delightful perfumes! Dancing and singing and passions run wild! And crossdressing blonds. Shaehern could go on forever, but that thought in particular really distracted him. He had always thought the boy, Zeke was his name, looked a lot like Kristopher. Shae was also convinced that the boy was a handsome little devil and a lady slayer (and a possible double threat for the boys too). Knocking on the door of a very lovely lady, no less. Shaehern jumped at the opportunity to literally jump at the prettied up blond. He gave the boy a wonderfully delighted squeeze. "You really are so cute!" Shaehern's dress was a wonderful black and included obligatory feathers, however he was not confident the color of the fabric was quite right on him. He had been trying out a series of different looks and he would no doubt change his outfit five or six times for the entirety of Heart Day if given the chance. Over his shoulder was a handbag filled with a variety of letters. Someone had plans for a very busy Heart Day. "Say something funny for me now!" he said in a voice almost mocking the command tone he normally used. He had not doubts that the boy would not disappoint. After all, he always came up with something absolutely delightful. Shaehern's Dress

"AYBUJIKA--" Zeke let out a noise that didn't sound like anything intelligent. What in the world was hugging him? Who was hugging him? The prettied up blond couldn't see over his shoulder with somebody hugging him tight. In the force of the hug her shoved the door all the way open, revealing the girl he loved still asleep in her lovely outfit on her bed. But now he didn't have the time to fawn. He was getting jumped! But who was it?!
Blue orbs locked onto an arm around his neck. That was equally blue.
Oh.
Turning his head as much as he could with this fellow on him, the young man saw the face, and an outfit, he was expecting to see. "Oh, hello mister Shaehern. Happy Heart day." Zeke's voice was calm as he smiled at the strange smurf-cross dresser. He was surprisingly so when compared to Kristopher. Once the greeting was out of the way he looked back into the room at his Ohime-sama. She was sleeping so sweetly, but his little shout from before might have woken her. He didn't want that, but...oops.
Something funny? Zeke blinked at the request before something up with something on the fly. Using the voice he knew sounded very feminine, he looked back up at Shae with a bit of a smirk. "You have a great set of wings, sir. Is that the only great set you have?"
Okay, enough silly. You have a princess to surprise...
"U-Um..now...could you let me go, sir?"

Completely ignorant of the scene going on right outside her door, the little boogie girl slept on as though she were the only one in the world. She might as well have been for all it would take to wake her up. The past few days she'd been running on nothing but pure fumes, adrenaline, and utter dread. She honestly didn't know how she'd ever managed to stay up so long, in the end she felt like she was going through the motions without really even knowing what was she was doing. As it was she was in as deep a sleep as she'd ever been in all of her life. If the Palace had exploded and crumpled around her, it wouldn't have been near enough to wake her. ....But apparently a blond getting groped was.
As soon as Zeke yelled she stirred, frowning tiredly as she began coming back to the realm of the living. Yawning daintily she slowly sat up, rubbing at closed eyes with her little hands as she tried to figure out just where she was and what was going on. As she slowly came to, she started noticing things bit by little bit. The first thing being that she was still tired. Second that she wanted to go back to sleep. Third that someone was making too much noise for her to do so. And finally that she was going to crack some skulls if they didn't shut up so she could go back to bed.
Opening her eyes with a glare and a scowl, she was fully prepared to pick up her dresser and smash it on the head of whatever idiot had invaded her rest. But when she saw that it was her Zeke, being attacked by that creeper from the ball, she paused in her tirade. Again, her brain noticed things in sequential order. The first and foremost, as the blush on her face could attest, was that Zeke looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress. Second was that the blue skinned weirdo was also in a dress, though considering the last time she'd seen him she wasn't a bit surprised. Third, was that Zeke had just said something to him that made her face redden all the more. And last but certainly not least, was that he had his damned mitts on her boyfriend!
With a stomp of her foot and a huff in her step, the little Avarie promptly marched over to the extremely odd pair and stared up at them both with a glare that was at dual times intimidating and adorable. Crossing her arms over her very frilly chest she set her jaw in preparation for having to get violent with this whateverthehelhewas, apparently completely unaware that she was the shortest person in this match by quite a few inches. "AHEM." Tapping her foot irritably she intensified the intimidation, and unconsciously the adorableness, of her gaze. "I'll have to ask you to let go of my boyfriend. NOW." Or else I'll rip you arms off and beat you with them..
........Anyone else notice something wrong with this picture....?

Shaehern loosed a giggle to Zeke's response. "Lil Ezekiel," he mumbled, finding this to be a much more adorable name than just Zeke. It certainly rolled off of the tongue in a much more pleasant way. The sound of a k was certainly much too harsh for such a well groomed boy as this.
Ah, but distractions would not last as Serenity Avarie woke up. No small secret that she had a lot of problems in the attic and apparently also plenty of insecurities that he could play off of if he so chose. His eyes leveled with her gaze, though his did not contain any of the spite. "Relax, I'm not a magpie. I'm not going to hoard the blond for myself." Did he want to hoard the blond? Of course, but acquiring him would not exactly be easy, would it? He'd just have to wait for the adorable blonds to multiply enough so that he could have one of his own, after all.
Reluctantly he let go of the boy and straightened himself up. He adjusted his bosom and made certain that his skirt still accentuated his hips and shoulders--two of his finest features if he was allowed to say so.
He spoke out of the side of his mouth to Zeke. "This is your chance to make her feel really good about herself and tell her that she's the only one for you, boy. Make a good impression." Relationship advice from the blue bird at his shoulder. Everything is satisfactual.
"Shaehern Azhrarn, if the harpy cares to know." She couldn't inflict any pain on Shaehern and he knew that. At least, no pain that Shaehern didn't will her to cause him first. He wasn't certain that he'd bear her any ill will even if she could. He just called her a harpy to get under her skin.

"Ezekiel? Who?"
Zeke blinked a couple times before realizing Shaehern was referring to him. Ezekiel...wasn't his name. It was just Zeke. But it was a pretty name nonetheless, so he let it slide and smiled a little. Shae wasn't all that bad as far as he'd seen. Cross dressing Rocky-showcase aside, he was just a fun loving guy. So what about him really did set Kristopher off so much? It would be a question Zeke asked at a later date with his twin in private.
Then Serenity woke up. Hoo boy, did the human catch on fast.
"O-Ohime-sama," the blond started softly, looking over his girlfriend with worried eyes. She was acting funny again. She had been for a while...normally he would think it was Charoa sinking her fangs into her innocent heart, but it wasn't completely wicked. Serenity had this edge to her since the ball. And it was making it more and more difficult for the boy to tell the two of them apart. He did, however, notice Shaehern backing up at her words. Wise man. Once he was released Zeke had to fix the puffy detached sleeve that seemed to be slipping.
Looking back at Serenity with gentle, warm sapphire eyes, Zeke bowed a little at his mistress. "Morning, Ohime-sama. You look beautiful today, as always." It was after that little bit that he heard Shae's advice. He shot the blue man a look that said 'I got this'. And he did.
He hoped.
Of course then he called her a harpy. With that, the human groaned and straightened up again, giving Shaehern a less flattering look this time. "Could you not insult my princess? Thank you." Smurf.

Did he want to hoard the blond? There was absolutely no doubt whatsoever in her mind that he sure as hell did. She supposed she couldn't really blame him for that though; who wouldn't want to horde Zeke? He was just so sweet and kind and caring and loyal and hot damn did he look good in that dress. Now that the blue skinned creeper wasn't clinging to him like a life raft she'd stopped glaring at him, and started staring at her boyfriend/slave/lover. The little voice in her head that told her to pick her jaw up or else she was going to be bathing in drool was decidedly absent on this occasion, and so there was nothing to stop her gawking at the lovely crossdressing blondie.
Once he spoke of course, her fangirling only increased tenfold, purely mental of course. The only visible hint she gave was the lowered jaw quickly closing as a hand came up to cover it, her eyes all aglow as she stared at him. The fact that her head currently looked like an apple might have been a tip off too.
Then the blueberry had to go and spoil it, displaying a rather well sharpened tongue that she'd somehow just knew he'd have. She discovered that the less physically endowed boogies tended to make up for it with attitude and wit, about all they had to keep themselves alive she supposed, though more often than not it got them killed. That wasn't to say this one was completely hopeless however, in spite of the attitude and flair for the alternative lifestyle he wasn't that bad looking at all. Hello muscles.... Shaking her head she quickly dispelled the thought. She was for Zeke and Zeke alone and that was that, no matter how well those feathers accentuated those pecs.
The little boogie girl couldn't help but giggle like a child when Zeke defended her, it was just so sweet and it only made her feel all the more special. Somehow the blond had a way of making her feel like she wasn't nearly as old as she was, sometimes she swore she felt three hundred again just being around him. Blushing all the more she wrapped her arm around his, entwining her fingers with his and gripping his wrist with her other hand. "Shall we join the festivities...?" Turning her gaze back to Shaehern she didn't glare again, although she wasn't cheery either. "Your friend can join us if he wants." With that said she promptly wrinkled her face up and stuck her tongue out at the much taller boogie. Three hundred again indeed.

Well, now that introductions were well enough over Shaehern could not help but smile. Of course, she had not offered him her name, but Shaehern's bearing had not really lubricated the path to that introduction. It was no matter, he already knew who she was, after all.
From his bag he retrieved a small glass bottle and set it in the room. Every year he produced a small batch of wine specifically for Heart Day. He would let it set in the casks until it was ready to be bottled and then he would distribute a few free bottles and sell the rest. It took a few years to get the recipe right, but now it was certainly the rage in certain circles.
It helped that he sold it as a 'love potion' to eager young couples. Referring to it as a philter was not a total lie, either. The ingredients did nudge a body in a certain way, and alcohol had a way of removing inhibitions. Simply delightful!
"Perhaps I shall walk with the two of you for a little while. Goodness knows there is so much to do and see on this glorious occasion." Reaching up to check the braids in his hair took just a brief moment before Shaehern was convinced they were all in appropriate place.
He expected no compliments from either of these two, but at the very least he could mentally pat little Ezekiel on the back for making his lady friend feel good about herself. Of course, he had also noticed that she was briefly checking him out. It was only for a fleeting second, but it had been there. Apparently she did not find him nearly so repulsive as her response would lead him to believe.
Fitting with her reputation. Shaehern wondered if she was the type who insisted upon monogamous relationships or not. You found that type in some of the strangest and least expected places, after all.

After you've been around Serenity for more than a year, there are certain parts of her personality you begin to pick out of the rest of her. One is when Charoa rears her ugly (or really not so ugly) head. The second was when she was having a little moment of fan-girling over Zeke. He'd gotten far too used to seeing that. And whenever he cross-dressed or started using that 'host' charm of his, he knew she was a goner. The bright blush on her face only brought a smile to his lips and a glint to his eyes. Serenity was so, so, so cute when she blushed.
Another thing you notice however was when she was checking somebody out.
Zeke's eyes went from a playful and kind glimmer to a sharp, cold glare for a split second. He hated that part. Sure, the human loved Serenity more than anything, and he could forgive all the little flirts she'd done over the years, but it still brought this reaction out of him...for a split second. She was only looking Shaehern over. It wouldn't go any further than that. But if it did...but it won't!...but if it did[/b]...
No, stop it! It's Heart day!
With a shake of his curly blond head the cross-dresser smiled down at his mistress, just as she laced her fingers with his and latching onto his wrist. "If my ohime-sama is ready to go, so am I." Zeke chuckled a little when she extended the invitation to Shaehern, his own eyes following hers to look at the blue Boogie, though his gaze was more lighthearted then hers. He said yes, thank goodness. Dressing up with his mistress was one thing, but he'd feel a little odd in public. At least with Shaehern around in drag as well it wouldn't be as solitary.
But blue eyes locked onto that little bottle. Wine? Oh boy. Anyone who knew Zeke at all knew the boy had absolutely zero tolerance for anything with any alcohol in it at all. And yet he loved wine and sake and all those things far too much to give them up. If Serenity didn't notice it before, she better soon.
Otherwise she'd end up with a wasted cross-dressing blond on her hands.

Now that she was with Zeke, even if it wasn't just her and him, Serenity was in a significantly better mood. Oh, she was still utterly exhausted of course. In fact she had doubts that she would be able to make it the whole day without collapsing. But that didn't bother her at all, because she was with Zeke. She knew that if she passed out then he'd catch her and bring her back. The thought brought a smile to her face. Maybe she would have to pretend just so that she could have him carry her back to the room. A sly little grin replaced the smile as her train of thoughts carried her onwards into things that could occur after that, and would if she had any say in the matter.
With her mood lightened, her animosity towards the other boogies thinned considerably as well. At the moment she decided that she didn't really mind having him along too terribly much. It could be a good thing he was there in fact. Afterall she didn't really know too terribly much about the festivities going on with Heart Day and such, most of the time she either spent it eating chocolates or in her bed with her skirts on the other side of the room, sometimes even both at once. She had the feeling that neither would take up much of this day though, and so they'd need someone to show them about. And besides, if his little stunt at the Devil's Ball had shown anything, this man and interesting occurrences walked hand in hand.
She hadn't noticed Shaehern place the bottle in her room, and so she made no move away from Zeke as they all stood about and then proceeded down the hall. After a short ways down the corridor she couldn't help but to look over at the other boogie once more, again looking over him thoroughly, though for a much different reason this time. "I have to say that that is an absolutely fabulous dress. Wherever on earth did you get it? I didn't see anything of the like when I was in the market just the other day."
Whereas before her eyes were looking at tissue, they were now looking at fabric. Opal orbs swept the length of the outfit; everything from the elegantly embroidered hem to the clinging chestline to the feathered wings that were made into the shoulders of it. Serenity, as one could quite easily tell from the cavernous closet that was filled to the complete bursting point, was one who had a great love and appreciation of clothing. She would rather have a one of a kind dress than a one of a kind gem any day. Gems were only good for looking at. Clothing on the other hand were not only pleasing to the eye, but they were pleasing in so many other ways as well. Oh so many other ways.
Considering something a moment her eyes suddenly brightened once more, the face that looked so much like a child's turning upwards toward the blue one above her. "Shaehern, was it? You definitely have to show me your wardrobe sometime. From what I've seen of you so far I'm certain that it has to be an absolute fashion goldmine." She'd already seen him in at least two dresses that she wouldn't mind wearing herself, so it stood to reason that there would be other in there that she would adore. Maybe even something that she could get Zeke into as well. That thought made her grin as well. She did make a mental note to make sure he kept his clothes on unless he was in her room however; great fashion sense or not, she couldn't trust this birdbrain's restraint around a naked Zeke. Hell, she couldn't even trust her own. Though it wasn't like she actually wanted to....

Given everything that everyone knew about Shaehern, it could be said that he was both terrible fashionable and terribly knowledgeable. There would also be arguments between different circles about how savvy he was when it came to understanding people. Some would argue that he knew almost nothing of people and they would cite the fact that he always managed to ruffle feathers no matter what he seemed to do. However, your mileage may vary with such explanations, as the other circle argued that the only way he could ruffle feathers so effectively is if he knew precisely what he was doing.
He knew he had already ruffled both Serenity's feather and Zeke's feathers this day, and he had not even spent five minutes with the pair yet. Given any sizable length of time spent with the two this promised to be a highly entertaining day. No qualms and no cares described the way Shaehern was feeling at this particular moment. Oh, but there were things to take care of, of course.
And conversation topics snapped him right back to the matters at hand. When had he started to walk? It all happened so naturally. Also, now Serenity was giving his outfit the discerning eye of one who was into the fashion vogue. "Yes, the market does carry a terribly limited selection some days, does it not?" It was an astute observation that no matter how stylish the markets seemed to be, if you wanted the best pieces you had to get them custom-tailored. That brought in a great many issues, not the least of which being that you rarely knew what you wanted.
Unless you had a very visual mind. Shaehern did have a very visual mind. "Most of my wardrobe is unique pieces. I purchase the fabrics and produce most of it in my own time." Oh, there were some things that he would spend money on to get other people to produce. Jewelry was one of those things. He just had absolutely no ability at producing rings and necklaces. It occurred to him that he also hired other people to produce anything that had leather in it. Mediums other than cloth were not something he could express himself easily in.
It also occurred to him at that moment that he had never offered his tailor services for cash before. The occasional favor had brought his hand and needle together, but not money. A strange sort of consideration, given how much money ruled the other aspects of his life.
"You are welcome to browse through what I have at some point, if it is your desire. Inspiration can strike at the most peculiar moments, after all." She might even choose to dress up her little blond, though he was not so little as she, in something based off of his wardrobe.

Serenity made the huge mistake in not paying more attention to that little bottle of alcohol that Shaehern had placed in her room. Just seeing the bottle had caused Zeke's dangerous side to shine. It was one of the little vices that a certain blond just couldn't resist, and so, as his girlfriend and the blue fellow started to walk, he leaned down for a split second and swiped the bottle up for himself. In such a dress, in public, with the giant smurf...a drink might be required just to survive the day.
Kami-sama willing.
The bottle neatly hidden out of Serenity's sight, the blond wandered in and out of the conversation around him. Yes, the young man cared more about his appearance then most guys his age, but fashion wasn't really his forte. If it fit and looked presentable, he wore it. Though much, much more than once it was not the question of it being presentable...but if the skirt was high enough on him to fit his shorter mistress. He always seemed to play the model. This was why Zeke barely payed attention to the talk of fashion as it circled around him.
He did, however, hear when the two Boogies offered to make plans to look over Shaehern's wardrobe. Zeke suppressed a groan.
If she tries to dress me in a feathery corset or something like that......no, nu-uh. I might be whipped, but I have some decency!
Says the man in a pink dress.
His inner-voice could be so coy at times. Thank goodness for the bottle.

A pained grimace made its way onto her face at his oh so accurate observation as to the quality and supply of proper clothing in the market. It was a trial and a half simply to find something even remotely close to what one was looking for, and that was if they weren't of a mind for something specific. Oftentimes if she knew for a fact what she wanted she had to send away for it, and then it was months and months before the garment finally made it to her. Boogies and humans alike these days simply couldn't be trusted to do anything in a timely manner, aside from the most loyal and well trained slaves that was. She could have sent Zeke and had the dress in her closet within a matter of weeks but that was an entirely different matter. For one she didn't like the thought of him being away from her for so long; and for another there was no such thing as safety for a lone human in the outside world. She would rather wear eye searing rags than to put him in harms way.
Shaehern, however, seemed to have found an altogether different solution, and one much less time consuming. Serentiy was simply amazed that he had the skill to craft all of these lovely things he wore upon his person. Even more stunning, was the fact that someone of such talent lived within such close proximity and she had never once known of it before now. Several times over the centuries she'd attempted to stitch together an idea or two that she'd been particularly fond of, but it had all been for naught. More times than she could count she'd jabbed herself with a needle or sewed the material to the dress she'd been wearing or gotten tangled in the thread or any number of mishaps. Suffice to say, everything that could go wrong, had. And so it was that she looked up at the blue man with no small bit of admiration and just a touch of jealousy.
But then the rest of her mind piped up and asked her why it was that she had to be jealous? Afterall she had Zeke, and he was just about the most talented person she knew. She blinked in surprise as she realized that this was so and that, for some reason she couldn't fathom at the moment, she'd never once thought to ask him to make anything for her. Considering it now she realized that it was terribly stupid of her. All this time she's been wasting her time and money ordering dresses and outfits from all over Wonderland; when all she'd had to've done was ask Zeke to make them for her. The sudden realization quite literally made her facepalm.
The offer to browse through his surely smashing collection was more than enough to bring her out of her mental self-bashing, her fingers splitting apart a bit to allow her to peek through. For another few moments she remained as such before she lowered her hand and smiled up at him once more. "That would be just wonderful. Its been ages since I've been able to find anything suitable." Squeezing Zeke's arm she couldn't help but giggle as she decided to tease him a bit. "I'll have to bring Zeke along with me. He makes the absolute best model in all of wonderland; mostly because of those lovely little legs of his." She winked at him and proceeded to burst into giggles for several minutes before she realized that she should probably return the favor. "If you like Zeke can show you around my closet as well, I'm sure he knows it better than I do at this point. There are a few things in there I've collected over the years that you might find a liking too." A few was a vast understatement. It was so huge that she'd gotten lost in it for days before. They'd best pack some food or they were liable to be lost and starve to death. Such things had been known to happen.

There was a certain delight to the way the gears in his head were turning. Those gears powered a music box of delight at the consideration of what had just passed between them. He would direct more speech at little Ezekiel, but there was a desire to avoid too many twitches of jealousy flaring up.
On second thought, he cast Zeke another glance with a wry little grin. Stirring up jealousy was always such great fun, and it was the trial that strengthened any relationship worth its salt. Also, it was hard not to look at the boy while trying to figure out how he would look like as a model for the dresses. Of course, nothing designed on his body would have quite the right measurements for Serenity. However, it made it easier to get a 360 degree view of the work.
The chance to wander in an older Boogies' wardrobe was certainly a rare opportunity. "I would absolutely love to have such a chance." Older Boogies had a tendency to accrue a variety of styles in their wardrobe, many of which were still very serviceable with minor tweaks and turns. Keeping up with the mode of fashion was a never ending war, however. And war... well... you know.
"So, aside from the pleasant exchange of styles, are there any delightful plans for the day? I'm afraid being the third wheel isn't much my style, but I can spare some time to show you around."
Activities for the day were always busy. Games for couples were always a hit, there were all sorts of gifts in the market, fine cuisine and wine tasting, and the list went on and on. Shaehern always considered it amazing that everything seemed to run just fine in the midst of such chaos. It was something Naelona did not have her hand in organizing--a miracle in of itself.
"Tell me an interest other than clothes and maybe we can accommodate you." Who was he referring to exactly? Or was that a queenly we?
(Okay, I deserve to get hit for that pun).
