Appearance:
Kyle doesn’t have any fancy clothing, how could he when every cent his parents ever made was spent on coke and bud? For the most part, he looks every bit the white trash he’s stereotyped as. Most times he wears nothing more than blue jeans and a denim button up that he leaves open. Underneath he wears a t-shirt, the color varying depending on his mood. His feet are covered up with a worn out pair of work boots that he bought at a second hand store. In his back pocket is the empty revolver that he shot and killed his father with.
Unlike his sibling, Kris with his golden locks and Sarah with her emerald eyes, Kyle is rather plain looking. Spiky brown hair, brown eyes, nothing remarkable. Though he has a rather tough body he’s a bit on the thin side, mostly from a combination of overworking and underfeeding. Underneath his clothing is a mass of scars covering near every inch of his body. On the back of his left shoulder is a small tattoo, a heart and banner with Sarah’s name and birthdate.
Personality:
Kyle is, for the most part, entirely devoid of emotion. True even he knows the stronger ones, anger, hate, despair. How could he not? They were the one thing that he could count on always being there for the entirety of his eighteen years. Even so, such dark emotions are not the only ones he’s been able to feel. Despite all the odds against, there is a small spark of love that managed to remain lit. Though that love is only for his sister, Sarah. She is the only person that he is able to reveal his true self to. To the rest of the world is as cold and unfeeling as stone. He absolutely despises violence, having been beaten very nearly every day of his life. But if someone pushes the wrong buttons, then he quickly becomes a nightmare for any in the path of his rage. Perhaps luckily, the things that can drive him to that point are greatly limited, most of them having something to do with his sister.
Beneath his cold exterior, beats the heart of a true gentlemen. Despite the way he was raised, he believes that everyone should be treated as best as they can, as long as they deserve it. He won’t stand for someone abusing anything weaker than them, and tends to end up the stereotypical hero rescuing the damsels in distress. Though it might be the last thing one would expect, Kyle has a particularly large soft spot when it comes to children, almost as large as the one he has for Sarah.

How Their Life Is / Was
Father: James Roberts-43
Mother: Emily Roberts-44
Sibling/s: Kristopher Roberts-18, Sarah Roberts-15
History:
Kyle didn’t exactly get the pick of the litter when it came to families, far from it in fact. He’ll be the first to tell you that his parents were trash, worse than trash rally, they were the scum of the earth. Though they claimed to be humans, to Kyle they seemed more like demons straight out of the innermost pits of hell. He had a brother, but he couldn’t really say that he liked him. The boy was in the hospital too much for any sort of bonds to form between. Kyle knew it wasn’t his fault, but he still felt as though the sickly boy only made things harder on him and his sister. Sarah was the only person he could genuinely say that he cared about, maybe because he had t pretty much raise the girl. His good for nothing parents couldn’t even be counted on for that much.
Looking back now, he can’t see how the three of them managed to survive at all. Even then the beatings were constant, though he tried to take as much of it as he could to spare the others. His brother Kris seemed to get the worst of it, and he could understand that much. Kris’s medical fees were a constant drain on their limited funds, and it made their parents angry. They told everyone it was because it has holding them back from providing for the other two, but Kyle knew better. They were angry because every cent they spent on medication, was another cent that they couldn’t spend on more drugs or booze.
Kyle was seven when Kristopher suddenly vanished, one night in was in his bed and the next morning he was gone. Not a soul could explain how it had happened, though there were more than a few that believed his parents had killed the boy and hidden the evidence. He knew better though, not out of some fool belief that they wouldn’t sink that low, but out of the knowledge that they were too stupid to pull such a thing off. As morbid as it may sound, he was actually a bit glad the sickly boy was gone. He thought that maybe now his parents would have the money to stay so out of it they wouldn’t be able to stand yet alone beat their other two children. But he should have known better than that.
Without Kristopher to take out their frustrations on, they turned their attentions to the other two. Kyle did everything he could to spare Sarah as much of it as possible, but that meant that he was beaten until he could barely hobble his way to the bed. He was sure that Sarah didn’t know what he was doing, only that she was getting off on the light side. Whenever it was time for their parents to come home he would make sure that she was occupied with some task, out of sight and out of the reach of their fists. But when his father lost his job and beat him so bad that three of his ribs and his right leg were broken, he could tell that she had finally realized just how bad things were.
When Sarah started training with Casy, he was more than happy for her. True he was a bit concerned that she might get hurt, but he knew the boy from the time he’d spent with her and knew that he wouldn’t hurt the girl intentionally. And besides, as long as she was with him she wouldn’t have to worry about their parents. Now that he didn’t have to worry about Sarah as much, he decided to do something that he’d been planning for a long time. He got a job after school, and whenever he could he would ditch that to do odd jobs for cash. Every cent of it he carefully hid away, saving up until he’d have enough. When he did he was going to take Sarah away from the hell they called home. It didn’t matter where they went, because there was absolutely nothing that could be worse than where they were.
He should have known that it wouldn’t happen, because when his plans started to fall apart they instead collapsed completely. One day when he was actually at school he decided to go wash up before lunch, but was brought up cold outside the bathroom. He’d heard someone inside say Sarah’s name, and so stopped to listen. With every word he felt his blood boil, the boys inside where talking about jumping her after she left Casy’s house that day and raping her.. Kyle immediately flew into a rage, entering the bathroom and slamming the first head he saw into a sink. About five or ten minutes later and he exited the room, meeting the school police officer who was just coming in to see what the noise was about. The man stared at him for a moment, apparently startled at the sight of the boy covered in blood. When he realized that none of it belonged to him, he immediately rushed past him into the bathroom. He emerged later, handcuffs in hand, only to find an empty hallway.
After lying low on the roof for a few hours, Kyle decided that he had best head to work if he wanted to keep his job. He almost had enough to get the two of them out, and so he had to work his hardest for that last little bit. Unfortunately, halfway across the football field he was ambushed by the senior offensive line. Apparently one of the boys that he’d sent to the emergency room had been the quarterback’s little brother. Kyle’s anger was still past the boiling point, and he was definitely in the mood for more trouble. His spirit was willing, but his body had been tired out dealing with the others. He managed to dislodge some of the running back’s teeth, but after that he was little more than a speedbag as his head bounced off their fists. Suddenly Sarah showed up and punched one of them in the face, which did little more than complicate things. Picking himself up he stood between her and the jocks that were turning their attention on her, telling her off for stepping in. He hoped that maybe if he lied and spouted off a few mean words that she would leave. When she didn’t he panicked and hit her, immediately hating himself for it. A few more harsh words were needed, but eventually she left. After that he gave up any will to fight, the jerks beating him senseless until they got bored and went home.
Kyle laid there the entire night, not moving until the sun was up the next day. He went to where he’d hidden his money and got it, intending to apologize to Sarah before they left. By the time he got home it was dark, and as usual his mother was passed out on the couch. Heading to Sarah’s room he knocked, opening the door when there was no reply. Upon seeing the empty room he was shocked, but when he saw the ropes he grew afraid. He knew what that meant, it wasn’t he first time their father had tied one of them down. But when he heard the front door opening, fear instantly became rage. It was the same as when he’d beaten those boys at school. Walking into the living room, he began screaming at the man, demanding where his sister was. When he angrily replied that he didn’t know Kyle hit him, and then hit him again. He kept on hitting him, when his arm grew too tired to lift it anymore he started hitting him with the other. When that one tired out as well he stopped, but he wasn’t anywhere near finished. He went into his parent’s room and opened the night stand, pulling out his father’s magnum revolver. Going back into the into the living room he stared down at him, not a hint of anything akin to love in his eyes as he fired all six of the rounds into the man’s chest.
Sitting in the darkness of his sister’s room ,he heard the sirens before he saw them. And perhaps it was a good thing that they were so bright. If not for the pulsing blue and red lights, he never would have seen the huge beast looming before him. Staring up at blankly, he made no attempt to flee. He didn’t care if the thing killed him, his sister had already died before he even had the chance to apologize. His body was limp as the monster grasped him around the throat, remaining unmoving as it lifted him into the air. For a moment Sarah’s face flashed through his mind, before his head was slammed into the wall and everything went back.
