Days grew weirder with each passing hour. Not long ago Iugo felt himself in such an awkward position with a woman that he found that he had feelings for. Not any of the usual feelings he had towards people, which ranged from indifference, superiority, hatred, or stabbing. It was one that both confused and comforted him. As of late he had not seen Loki, a companion he surely could use right now. The doctor had gone and sought out the cat after Jasmine and he had parted ways, but either the cat was avoiding him or Iugo was a bad searcher. His initial plan when he went to find the black beast was to try and explain that in order for them to be with on another Jasmine could not be around.
Even Iugo knew he owed the cat more than that. It had been one of the more supportive and constant beings with him when the boogie had fallen into his bout of... off. Jasmine played her part, but she was not laying by his side at all times of the day with warn ears to pet. With Loki gone, that only left Agony to be his companion, as Jasmine insisted on still being around that moron Shaehern. That thought always made Iugo glance at his trophy and smile. It had ended in his favor, which was all that mattered. What made this so lonely was that Agony was missing. And had been since... the human holiday of Christmas? That was a concerning amount of time, but Iugo knew to wait. That goblin was far to fearful of him to not do his bidding.
Today was one of those days where he was sitting in his lab, on a static stool, arms crossed and on the bloody table where his meal had been. The pale forehead also laid on the table, blood soaking both his head and forearms, the white sleeves rolled up and his navy jacket hanging on a chair in a corner, bits of metal laying on a worktable, sharp edges of an unformed weapon laying in the candle light. A small project that really did not seem satisfying at the moment. An audible sigh came from the doctor as he raised his head, a heavy droplet of crimson traveling down his nose and to his lips.
Iugo would not admit it, but he was lonely. There was a difference between being alone and working in his lab on a new toy for him to play with and not having anything that seemed worth while. The brown eyes looked over the frames of his glasses as he scanned the lab. There was the blood 'dinner' table before him, a dark corner with a cage for those that were in line to see the doctor, the other pristine table that... Iugo blinked. A fist flew up and punched Iugo in the forehead as he let a low growl emit from his throat. How could he have forgotten? A grin grew rapidly on his white face. How could he have forgotten? The whole reason he came to the palace in the first place...
Turning away from his dinner plate the boogie moved as quickly as he could by cane to the work table, scanning all the items available. Nothing was complete and few were even safe to wield. Moving to a bin of metal scraps next to the bench, Iugo saw something that was not his style, but would have to do. With clanging as he moved other metals aside, he drew a steel rod, examining it in the light. It was a solid piece and could do little to break skin on a single blow. A pang washed over him of... grief, was it? hit him as he though of his blade, shattered and stored not far from where he stood. Eying the drawer, Iugo slung the improvised weapon over his shoulder and moved to the door, wanting to get under way so his life work could begin.
It was midday or so, Iugo estimated, looking out a window and seeing that the sun shown brightly down on the land. It hung straight above, giving a relatively small shadow of the palace. Grunting, he moved forward. Over time he passed humans... and just humans. They knew of this man and got out of his way, especially when he bore a more destructive weapon and soaked in the blood of some innocent. The boogie strolled leisurely for almost an hour, feigning chases with humans, throwing the steel bar at humans, only 'missing' by inches and sending them screaming. Iugo did not care if word of a 'raging' boogie got out. The funny part about that was Iugo was keeping a relatively calm demeanor, which made it all the more terrifying. Would some heroic boogie come try and stop him? That would only make it more fun.
Eventually he did happen across a boogie. It was a lanky, slim, red man. His knuckles almost brushed the floor! What a grand first target. They came within speaking distance and both were obligated to smile.
"Good afternoon, Nationis," The red man grumbled, nodding his head.
"Ah, hello there!" Iugo said, almost too cheerily, "It feels so odd that you know my name but I don not know yours!"
"Oh, well, it's --"
The man got no further in his speech because Iugo released his cane and gripped his weapon in both hands and swung hard. The metal connected with the skull, blood blending in with his flesh, a ring echoing throughout the corridor. Smiling, Iugo tossed the bar aside and knelt near the unconscious man. The might behind his attack was enough to only render this man helpless, not kill him. But it was always hard to tell if a boogie's genetic make up allowed for a tougher bone structure or not...
But that was what Iugo was here to find out.
He picked up his cane and grabbed the man by the hair and began his journey back to the lab. He took a a different route, a more out of the way path. Was he afraid that someone would stop him? No, it would just be annoying to have to listen to someone complain what he was doing was not proper. This being had willingly subjected itself to being kidnapped! It was as close to permission as he was going to get. At the door to the lab the boogie paused. He looked down both lengths of the hall, wanting to check one last time to see if he was followed or spotted.
