He couldn't believe how lucky he was to be able to find such an amazing gift. Never had he dreamed he would have enough items to actually make a decent trade. It was hard for Kristopher to own anything, let alone trade for something else. His skills and heath limited him in what he could own and do, but this time he was on the ball.
His health has been excellent even though it was starting to get chilly. He had his ever present cough but nothing bad had came from it. He had been in a better mood then he had in a long time. Plus, no one seem to mind that he had a single eye anymore. Though, Augusta did tease him from time to time with pirate talk that Kristopher didn't mind. It sometimes---made life----interesting.
A smile touched his face as he carried the box with huge bow on it. He was walking very quickly. He knew where to find his lover at this time of the day. Working on his wonderful clocks that Kristopher loved to look at. In fact, he loved just to watch his lover work more then anything. Chuckling softly he rushed into Augusta's room that was lined with clocks, parts, and every tool known to man kind.
Seeing as Augusta decided that Kristopher's room was now "their room", Augusta changed his room into a workshop. "Augusta!" He cried out happily in the door way as he rushed in and sat on the box on the bed. "I got you something so amazing! You'll be thrilled!" He said brightly as Ken came into the room, Kristophers Scottish Fold. The animal bounded up to the bed and sniffed the box. The poor felines tail bushed out but Kristopher didn't seem to mind.
He was far too busy through his arms around his lovers shoulder, regardless of what his love was doing at that moment. "Come see! You can work on that later---oh." He looked down to see he more then likely just ruined four hours of work. Well, that was nothing new.
"---Oh, oops. Oh well! You can fix it. So take a break!" He said slightly embarrassed at what he did but also too excited to care.

Augusta was indeed sitting at his desk, surrounded by the wondrous ticking of clocks. The sound helped him sleep at night. The only stable thing he had really. he loved clocks fr one simple reason: You can always trust a machine to be perfect as long as you make it so. He could always know that his clocks would work as long as he made them work. But people, emotions, surprises, they were all things he couldn't control. Fate wouldn't let him be most days and he often got hurt, even though his violence level has gone down considerably. Jouhnin was having him doing therapy less and less and it seemed Vasant... was dormant for now, of course any trauma could bring Vasant back from the shadows of his mind. But for right now he wasn't concerned over his split-personality, and his anger issues had gone down to an unreasonable amount. He spent much more time working away in his office on watches to sell at the market for quick cash and clothes and such, than he did fighting with boogies. He hadn't said a word of the rebellion in weeks, and hadn't come home roughed up as well. Except for a couple cuts and bruises from his normal everyday pre-winter work. He was more cooped up in this room taking care of Kris and Kenny then he was doing anything anger-based. He was the calmest he's ever been since the blond met him.
If Kristopher knew his father, he'd see the obvious resemblance.
Augy was working on a really difficult part of the current pocket watch he was making. But of course, Kris came in, slamming and making too much noise and as soon as the pattern of ticking and tocking was interrupted, Augy snapped a very small piece he had with his tweezers. He visibly cringed and growled lightly, " Kristopher...." he said darkly, " how many times have I told--"
"Come see! You can work on that later---oh. Oh, oops. Oh well! You can fix it. So take a break!"
Augy looked over his shoulder at his lover and let out a huge sigh, so much for finishing this clock today. Now he'd have to start over a whole four steps and wouldn't be done till tomorrow. Damn, and he wanted to get Kris something nice with his time off tomorrow. He'd have to do something else then. He stood, making sure he didn't hurt Kris as he did so and then turned around to see the box on the bed. The box shuffled, yes... it moved and almost tipped over. he stared at it for a second and then slowly looked over at Kris. " Please don't tell me you got another demon?" he said and motioned to Kender.

Kristopher gave the Frenchmen one of his helpless and yet charming smiles. What could he say? He always forgot about that rule of coming into the room quietly or at least knocking. He had been so excited he forgot the basic protocol. Still, he didn't care so much right now.
Standing on his tip-toes he gave his love a kiss of apology for ruining a watch. Then, the shorter male ruffled Augusta's hair. "It's funny when you say my name when your mad. But don't be mad! I got you something really nice!" The blond put his hands behind his back and for a change, didn't pull on his long sleeves. Then again, Kristopher hadn't had any reason to be nervous around the man now that Vasant was---gone. Gone for the time being. Kristopher tried very hard to forget that creature ever existed. However, he couldn't and every so often Kristopher would still do something that was beaten into him by Vasant and always would.
After all, the split personality had made very sure that Kristopher was trained well. Augusta didn't like it when it happened, but there was a silent understanding between the two. However, now was a time of affection and love. Once the box suddenly moved and tipped over, Kenny took off and went under the bed in fear.
Kristopher on the other hand rushed over to the box and took hold of it with both hands. Carefully, he sat it up right.
" Please don't tell me you got another demon?"
Kristopher shot Augusta a look and then his expression softened innocently. "He is not a demon and no I have not got another "demon" if that is what your gonna call our baby." Yes, Kristopher had gotten into the habit of calling his feline, their baby. He was at that stage of actually wanting a child but had yet mentioned it to Augusta...even if it was clear as day. So, for now the feline was their child---or rather the step child seeing as Augusta didn't care for the cat.
Hence why Kristopher went out to get something they could was both of theirs and not a demonic step-child. "Well, do you wanna see what I got for you?" he asked cheerfully.

Augusta raised and eyebrow at Kristopher, he should have just knocked and Augy wouldn't be so fussy. Kris knows how much it peeves Augy when he doesn't walk in quietly and knock. He hates ruining hours of work and when Kris scares him it ends up breaking something. It drove Augy bonkers. Augy looked at the box as it tipped over and then Kris walked over to set it upright. He knew the box had something alive in it, boxes don't normally move on their own. Augusta sighed though when Kris gave him a glare and said that their baby wasn't a demon. He shook his head, " Kender is a little demon. And I don't claim him as any child of mine." Augusta took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose, he was focusing so hard on his watches that his eyes hurt when he stopped looking at them and relaxed his eyes. He ran a hand through his hair and then placed his silver thin-framed glasses back onto his face.
"Well, do you wanna see what I got for you?"
Augusta walked over to the bed where Kris was and smiled, " Alright, alright... You know I hate anticipation... What's in the box?" he asked and kissed Kristopher lightly. He reached over and pushed the box lightly and it shook and made a small sounds before returning to normal. Whatever it was, it certainly made a cute sound. Though... Kris made cute sounds too, but not when he was trapped in a box. Kris would probably make a horrendous ruckus if he was trapped in a box. But now Augy wanted to Kris to make cute sounds...
Maybe after he figured out what was in the box.

Kristopher rolled his eyes, he would never get Augusta to love that cat. Hell, Augusta even bought Kristopher the creature but it was just sat the cat didn't really like Augusta too much. Oh well, it was out of their hands on that one. Ken was a one person cat and that was that. "Oh, well fine he is my baby then."
Smiling still, he looked at Augusta and patted the lid of the box. "And I, my love, adore surprises. I swear that one day I will get you to enjoy them more often as well." With that said the blond turned to the box and held the lid with two hands. "Ready?" He asked happily and then carefully removed the ribbon covered lid.
Nothing came out of the book. In fact the whole thing stood still now. But Kristopher knew better then to poke his head into the cardboard box. Twenty seconds later, the upper body of a puppy sprung out and barked happily with a tail wagging and tongue hanging out of its mouth.
The animal was adorable with white and brown spots, curly hair on it's ears and huge eyes. The puppy looked back and forth between the two males happily before running around inside the box and making it shake. The blond chuckled softly, reached in and pulled out the puppy. He held out the puppy towards Augusta.
"I remembered you liked dogs more then cats and I thought she was cute. So, I traded in a few things of mine for her. I hope you like her, but I don't know what kind of breed she is...though she seems to have a very good personality. Here!" Without much adeu, he sat the puppy right into his lovers lap.
The said puppy barked and threw its front paws up on Augusta's stomach. Kenny, did not come out from under the bed.

Augusta was not expecting a puppy to come out of the box. No way in hell was that what he was expecting! But it wasn't unpleasant at all, when he saw the front half on the dog a smile cracked on his face. Then it grew and grew until the puppy was in his lap and staring at him with those big brown eyes of hers and it was instant love. Augy had the biggest grin on his face one could imagine as he put his hands on either side of the puppy and lifted her up so that her nose was even with his. He chuckled " Well look at you!! So happy!" Augy couldn't stop grinning as the pup licked Augy's face, barked and waved it's little legs in the air. Augy let the dog sit in his lap and it chased and playfully bit his fingers. Augusta looked up at Kris with the happiest look he's ever had, it'd been a very long time since Augy had that kind of a smile. It was a truly happy smile.
"I remembered you liked dogs more then cats and I thought she was cute. So, I traded in a few things of mine for her. I hope you like her, but I don't know what kind of breed she is...though she seems to have a very good personality."
Augusta looked down as the puppy barked for his attention. " She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, one of my mother's friends had one and shed bring it to the house all the time, my father hated it..." August ruffled the dogs fur and just sat there and played with her for a good couple minutes before he picked the dog up with one hand and walked over to Kris. He sat the pup on the bed and then brought Kristopher into a very passionate kiss. He wrapped his arm around Kris's waist and pulled him close and just kissed him. He pulled away when the dog barked at them. Augy didn't let Kris move away, but he did turn his head. " She needs a name doesn't she..." he said and reached over, scratching behind the dog's ear. " Elle est un belle aime..." He spoke the words quickly and then paused, " I think Belle is a fitting name... means pretty and she certainly is a pretty little dog!"

The blond sat there, wondering if Augusta would like the puppy or get a bit annoyed at having another thing to take care of right now. The blond kept a soft smile of his features a she rested his hands in his laps, waiting to see what happened. Then finally, Augusta smiled ever so grandly. Kristopher let out a content sigh knowing now that he did the right thing for a change.
Augusta was loving the puppy and it made Kristopher feel like everything was perfect once again. "And she is happy to see you too it looks like." Yes, the blond was very pleased with himself and his ability in choosing the right dog for the love of his life.
He was surprised to find out that Augusta knew the dogs breed and had been around one before. The blond blinked a few times and tilted his head to the side. "Cavailer King Chargles Spaniel, that's a long name for such a small thing." His voice held some disbelief but accepeted the name of the breed, though wondered why someone would give it such a long name.
Whatever thoughts where going on in his head soon came to an end when Augusta pulled him into a kiss. A kind of kiss he han't had in a long time. Needless to say, the blond melted right into the passion. Wrapping his arms around Augusta's neck, he pressed his thing body up against the others. He was a bit upset when the kiss came to an end, though he did steal another quick one before following Augusta's gaze.
He was right, the puppy did need a name and it seemed like Augusta had it all figured out. "Belle, that sounds like a wonderful name." he mused, watching the puppy jump around on the bed and Kenny slowly coming out from the bed. "I think it fits her well..."
Poot Kenny, he wondered if he and the dog would get along well. He sure hoped they did. It was something he didn't think about until now. Oh dear.
