" Oh my! "
The girl was crying softly, her face already stained with tears and blood. She didn't want to be here at all! Water could be heard off in the distance dripping without a pattern in a puddle. The sound echoed eerily through out the stone walls, bouncing around to announce that another drop of liquid had fallen into the larger, unseen pool. It was dark, creepy...
" Looks like you'll be joining them! Ha Ha! "
And she was being drug along by Iugo Nationis, the boogie of horrors and nightmares. Lately he had been taking many more children than usual. And not through the regular means! No no! Iugo was stealing slaves from other boogies, and would admit to it if asked. So what if he did? Who was going to stop him? Naelona?! Pah! What could she do but put a cloak of darkness around him! Tristan? Pssh! He wasn't afraid of him. Not even that damned, dumb dog that was at his heel. Besides, he proved that he could take care of himself if Tristan even came at him full force back in the Widowd's Trap...
" We'll have a party! Lots of people are waiting for us... "
Wonderland had no law. There was no force to stop evil doers! IT would all be a personal dispute, unless friends got involved. But Iugo was confident enough in his skills that he could handle even five angry boogies. Not like any regular boogie would try to hunt down the mad doctor. Oh the joys that he gained from reaping the benefits of others work! That's how he became a doctor, after all.
" I'm sure you're dying to know where we're going! "
The girl's eyes darted back and forth, frantic to scream for help. But the Doctor knew she would try, and injected her with a vaccine to paralyze her, but not her breathing! Suffocation was such a horrible way to die. Where was the fun in it? But the helpless girl, bleeding and bruised from the long trek through the palace, down the dungeons stairs, and across the gross floor, could only silently cry. But even that hope was taken from her, as the torch in Iugo's free hand illuminated something up a head.
" Here we are, you pathetic little bag of flesh. Your new home! "
Cackling madly, Iugo tossed the girl easily through the air, into the darkness. She landed with a thud... No, a squish. Her eyes widened as she could only make the outlines of undefinable outlines in the dark. Cackling further, the boogie, only dressed in a pair of black slacks, invisibly soaked with blood, floated towards the girl. Where did she lay? A mutilated pile of her own race. Silent screams stuck on faces, hands grasping for hope that no longer existed and blood. Lots and lots of blood.
Approaching the small child, Iugo bent down low, putting his face on the face of another, one eye missing and maggots crawling about the empty cavity. He was now inches from the girl's face. A grin slowly spread along his lips like acid slowly burns through flesh.
" No one is going to come for you, dear. You'll die here like the rest of these worthless souls! "

Click clack, click clack
The soles of Lucien's shoes emitted a snap with each forward step, accompanied by the barely audible sound of humming. Despite the soft sound, the distinct sound of a children's lullaby was perceptible to the ear.
Click clack, click clack
The boogie's long nailed fingers rose and fell of their own accord in an arch sequence, holding the resemblance to a conductor leading an orchestra.
Click clack, click clack
A magnificent head of silver hair rocked back and forth, the heavy locks swaying with each movement. The trademark grin was present on Lucien's lips, stretching them to an extent that appeared painful if held for too long.
Click clack, click clack
Both eyes were concealed beneath his grey fringe, and often gave others the impression he merely had a sixth sense of his whereabouts. That he didn't need sight to actually know where he was going. This was of course a mere rumour and, like most others, was false. Still, Lucien wasn't about to disprove anything unnecessarily.
Click clack, click--
The footfalls abruptly stopped. Was that..a scream, he heard? To be perfectly fair, cries and shouts were not uncommon. In fact, on average dozens of screams were heard per day. And naturally, children calling out in pain and horror were frequent. Still; violence wasn't something Lucien condoned. And if he could help it, he'd at least try and weasel his way into stopping it.
The clicks continued just the same towards the source of the crying. Several minutes of continued humming and footsteps were all that was heard to Lucien's ears. In no time at all, he was confronted with the sight of a rather bully-like boogie forcing a young child along, clearly against her will. She appeared the be covered in blood and tears, something Lucien found interesting.
He watched calmly as the man threw the child into a dark and near-corpse infested pile of humans. With a click of his tongue, Lucien approached the scene.
"I don't think she wants to be in there," he observed, pointing a long index finger at the boogie as his grin quickly slipped into place, "I'd suggest letting her go her own way." [/blockquote]

Iugo froze, frowning at the new voice. Turning his head, his cigarette glowled dimly compared to the torch in his pale hand. His eyes held neither malice nor anger. But they did hold much discontent. This boogie, obviously, as he walked fearlessly in the bowels of the Palace, wanted to... help this human?! A sudden click ignited in his twisted brain, a severe frown curling his lips into almost a snarl. The teeth were stained red from a previous meal. This man was going to ruin his fun! Like.. like...!
No. This was not Tristan. And he wouldn't allow his evil soul to be corrupted by insanity... or more insanity than it was accustomed to.
" I don't believe we've met, " Iugo began, his snarl remaining on his ghostly pale face, even if he wanted to remove it. " Let's get things straight. I'm a doctor, and you're leaving. " Standing up and turning, the boogie floated off the ground, not really wanting to deal with another annoying man today. Or ever. Unless a scalpel was involved! But then again, the man wouldn't be annoying for very long. The boogie took another drag of his cigarette, before plucking it from his mouth between to two fingers, then placing the torch in a brazier, holding the light in a constant position. The now free hand scratched as his cheek, leaving a large blot of blood, a mixture of old, new, young and old.
From beyond the pile, two eyes glowed in the darkness, gazing with an evil curiosity of the new arrivals. The girl was closer, but the boogie was far more interesting. But then again, the girl was defenseless... Crawling over the small mound, the goblin sat next to the paralyzed girl, tears still flowing freely from her eyes as the goblin traced a thin, bony finger across her skin. She'd be a good specimen! Too bad Iugo had stopped experimenting for the time being... Even the familiar missed the crazy nights filled with screams of pain and horror.
" But let's make it fair, if you're so stubborn for me to leave her alone, " The boogie hissed, turning back to the human. The drug would still be in effect for at least another hour. " So I'll ask you one time only. Do you want to leave? " The boogie's own grin spread across his face, watching the fear and distress in the young slave's eyes as she knew that she couldn't form any sounds to answer the question. But yes, oh yes she wanted to scream 'Get me outta here!' But no... She was doomed to silence, and fated to go through more horrors this day. " There you go... She doesn't mind staying," the doctor finished, after a few moment of deadthly silence. " Now leave! "

A giggle escaped Lucien's pink lips as a hand rose from his side. Slender, spindly like fingers pinched the brim of his hat and swiftly took it from his head. The object was placed gently over his heart as the boogie took a low bow, legs entwining in a stance not unlike a curtsy.
"Lucien Von Clossen, sir," he all but sang, a tongue coming out to lick at his lips. The silvernette's head quickly cocked upward to present the man with a single blue eye as grey locks parted slightly, "and if you don't mind my saying, a little courtesy is never misplaced."
His legs parted and he took up his regular posture once more, efficiently placing the hat atop his head again. Lucien's eyes roamed over the scene of dozens of half dead children, some bodies decomposing to the point that a rancid rotting stench was evident. This didn't bother the man like most, however; he was quite accustomed to dead tissue.
Lucien watched with his trademark grin as the apparent doctor turned to the young girl. He watched with a careful mask as all she was capable of doing was giving a pleading look in her eyes and perhaps a slight tremble of her body. Apart from that, the boogieman couldn't deny that she seemed to agree to staying in her situation.
Typically, Lucien was not one to meddle in other's affairs. Indeed, it seemed as though he avoided most outside contact as the public avoided him. Still, in the occurrence that there was unnecessary cruelty administered to a helpless child, why let his sins pile up? Though he wasn't a devout Christian, the silvernette couldn't deny the omnipresence of God. And should he not partake in the rescuing of innocence, who knows what might happen.
And so, with a simple tilt of his head, Lucien approached the boogieman, body coming into close contact with his own and raising a pale hand to the man's face. He traced a sharp, long fingernail down a cheek and giggled once again.
"How's about you let her go?"

Iugo glared at this other boogie. Who was he to tell him what to do?! The more the man insisted on the release of the girl, the more the angry thoughts he had of Tristan arose in his mind. The snarl returned, the blood stained teeth flickering in the flames on the wall, as Iugo began speaking. " You speak of courtesy, good sir, " This was said with a sarcastic emphasis, " but I believe when one wants to be left to his treasures and fun that no one should interrupt that person. You are the one being rude! " Iugo's gaze was unfaltering, even if he knew nothing about the boogie before him.
Agony had taken the liberty of taking a small bite out of the girl's arm, letting the fresh blood soak into the dead bodies, futility trying to give them life once again. The crimson flowed between his teeth as he grinned toward the two boogies. Iugo was obviously too pissed to care at the moment, maybe even jealous Agony got the first taste. But with the visitor, he wouldn't pay enough attention to the girl or himself as Lucien stood so close.
The cigarette-less hand came up quickly, giving Lucien a painful slap across his own hand, leaving his cheek unscathed. " Do I need to ask again to get it through your thick skull? " Iugo asked in a deadly whisper, the cigarette dropping to he ground, the hand holding it slipping into a pocket and grasping his trusty knife. Never leave home without it! The ghostly boogie didn't draw it yet, only held the hilt and ready to lash it out to maybe add another body to the collection of tonight. " Leave. "

The silvernette blinked curiously, eyes quickly swiveling from the doctor's face to the girl's and back again. The grin slowly weakened until the pale lips formed a slight pout.
"Treasure," he murmured, the assaulted hand raising once again to tap at his own cheek, "treasure..fun...Ah!" As quickly as the smile disappeared it spread over the pale face once again. "Fun, fun, fun.."
The other arm rose purposefully, the sleeve slipping, in turn concealing the spindly fingers. A joyful, if not a bit haunting, tune fell from Lucien's lips, both hands moving rhythmically in a small arc as index fingers curled and uncurled accordingly.
From the mass of rotting and spoiled tissue not two yards away came a very soft rumble. Slowly, the sickly sound of sticky fluids sifting past one another was heard as dead and even half-alive skin was molded together. Organs sloppily rolled away from years dead bodies and fused with muscle, while bones clacked together noisily and attached themselves to the ends of makeshift joints.
Gradually, a form quite grotesque in appearance emerged from the jumbled mess of death. It had very few distinguishable features; among these were what appeared to be horns or else ears protruding from the tips of its head, a ramshackle snout, and what could be a stubby tail extended from its lower back.
The creature took small, uncertain steps not unlike a newborn fawn. Within a few moments however, it seemed to acquire a sense of being and, determinedly, scooped the young girl from the bed of moist corpses. Hurriedly it turned away and seemed to make a point of approaching Lucien. Before it got far however, it turned, almost curiously, to the familiar not but a few feet away.
With a childish tilt of its head, it reached out a misshapen hand and poked the goblin's pointed nose. Giving out a shriek of laughter, it ran quickly away and held the girl out to it's master.
The boogie reached downwards and carefully plucked the girl from the creature's grasp, but not before affectionately patting it's head.
Holding the child close to him, Lucien glanced up at the boogieman not two feet away from him. He let out a squeak of a giggle and grinned lopsidedly.
"I don't think she liked it in there," he noted, shaking his head, "Not, one, bit." [/font] ((Sorry if that was godmodding. @_@ It's five in the morning or something and I've yet to sleep.))

The boogie turned, his anger dissipating for a short time as he saw the meat puppet move about. A very odd sight indeed! But his scowl returned as he watched it not only touch his familiar, it picked up the girl and gave it to Lucien! Letting out a deep howl of rage, the boogie drew his knife, swinging it wildly at the other man. The blade would stop only an inch from Lucien's pale neck, Iugo's eyes burning with a crazy fire. If Lucien Von Clossen hadn't noticed until now, he would see that Iugo wasn't quite right, more so than what other gruesome brethren the two had. But if he had, which was possible, the boogie would realize that Iugo was far crazier than any other boogie in the castle. A blood lust glinted keenly underneath the gleam of maddness in his chocolate brown orbs.
And now he was pissed.
Agony was also upset. The thing had taken his snack and booped his nose! That wasn't acceptable! Snarling, the little beast held his claws before him, slowly creeping up behind the creature of old and new fused to make an abomination that no amount of Iugo's science could make. Still, the goblin wasn't going to take this lightly, as this... 'thing' had played him! Besides, the girl tasted wonderfully... Why would he pass up a perfectly good corpse to eat? A fresh one, at that.
" I will advise you one last time, " Iugo said between heavy breaths of rage, " leave the girl here, and I'll let you keep your head. " The ghostly boogie moved with his knife, putting his face less than two inches from Lucien's face, the slapping hand placing itself on the girls' shoulder, grasping firmly with a cold grip, one to make Death jealous. " I promise that even if I fail to take your head, I'll make sure you and your slaves with have nightmares of my visitation in their dreamland, the only escape they have from our world. I see you have a terrifying power, but that will be nothing compared to the hell I will bestow upon your filthy, dumb humans. "
He wanted to disembowel this man... Tear his limbs off, one dull, rusty slice at a time... Pluck out his eyes! But no... Iugo didn't need boogies looking for another, only to find him dead in a pile. But psychological warfare would be just as good. But the phantom-like boogie was in no mood to deal with a self-righteous creature like this today. He anger still needed to be vented, and more men and women like this would only make him worse... worse than he already was, and even more so.
