Sarah has long brown hair that comes down to the middle of her back, and she has bright, green eyes. She is fairly athletic, if a bit underfed, and she carries herself with the confidence of someone who knows she can take care of herself. She has a slight scar above her right eyebrow from when it was busted open from the doorway when she was flung into it by the force of her father's punch. Her eyes have the lines of someone who was forced to grow up too fast. Her knuckles are callused from fighting.
Personality:
Sarah is not your typical 15-year-old girl. She tends to keep to herself, and, even when she does interact with others, she's usually cold and uncaring. She's a good actress, however, and can fake nearly any type of personality, if she sees a need for it. Mostly, however, she doesn't think people are worth it. She is fairly intelligent, and sometimes likes to screw with people, just for fun. She views the great majority of people as mostly mindless sheep, and likes proving that view, even if she's usually the only one who realizes what's going on. Sarah has a soft spot for her brothers, however. They are the only people she sees as worth anything, and she will do anything and everything she can to keep them from harm.

How Their Life Is / Was
Father: James Roberts, 43
Mother: Emily Roberts, 44
Sibling/s: Kristopher Roberts- 18 and Kyle Roberts β 18
History:
Sarah Roberts was born into a very abusive family. She was the youngest of three, the other two her older brothers, Kris and Kyle. Her mother was a drug addict, and her father was a drunk. Generally, whenever either one was conscious enough to take notice of their three children, they abused them with both verbal and physical beatings. By virtue of being the youngest and smartest of the three, Sarah was able to remain on her parents' good side the majority of the time. This was a blessing. . .
Wasn't it?
When she was four years old, her brother, Kris, disappeared. No one was ever able to find out what had happened to him. He had simply vanished, and had been assumed dead. Sarah and her remaining brother had thought this might be a good thing. Kris was always sick, and always needing to go to the hospital. That cost their family a lot of money. A lot of money they didn't have. The Roberts family was a rather poor family, and had trouble, at times, paying the regular bills. Kris' illnesses never helped matters any. With that worry gone, both Sarah and Kyle thought things would get better. They didn't in fact, they got worse. Rumors started being spread that their parents had killed Kris, and disposed of the body. This destroyed what little social standing Sarah's parents still had left, and made them even more irate and prone to rages than they were before.
Like before, however, Sarah was able to remain on their good side most of the time. This meant, of course, that her only remaining brother got the brunt of everything. For a long time, Sarah was happy with that arrangement. However, one day, her parents had beaten Kyle so much that he literally couldn't move. He almost died from his injuries, but somehow managed to pull through, despite never receiving proper medical attention; just what little Sarah could give him. He still wasn't able to get out of bed for a week and a half. He ended up missing the first whole month of school that year, and spent the rest of the year with a limp.
This was enough to open Sarah's eyes. She knew she couldn't stand by any longer. She couldn't live with herself knowing full well what horrors she had, up to this point, been able to avoid while her brother took her share of it. That couldn't go on any longer.
Sarah never had a lot of friends, and, as she got older, she found herself with fewer and fewer of them. This didn't bother her. In fact, she rather preferred it that way. However, there was one friend, Casy Harris, that she trusted above all others, and always made sure to keep him around. Casy Harris was a brown belt in karate, and Sarah figured it was time to take advantage of this. She made him teach her as much as he could about fighting. Casy was a decent fighter, himself, but not the best teacher. This was alright. Sarah wasn't looking to be the best. She just wanted to be strong enough to fight back.
And it worked. She learned enough of the basics to be able to wing it against just about anyone who didn't study under a proper master themselves. At home, she started taking not only her share of the punishment, but as much of Kyle's as she could, as well. As much as she hated them for what they did, she could never bring herself to use her training against her parents. She could fight, if necessary, but it wasn't really in her to do so; her parents had seen to that a long time ago. As long as she could take the pressure off Kyle, it would be enough. Her training had also included defense, and she was able to use that to soften the blows so they didn't hurt her as badly.
It went on like this for a few years. She continued to train with Casy every day. She lost all of her other friends and became an outcast, which didn't really bother her. From the outside, she could see clearly how much crap everyone else was. She didn't want anything to do with it. However, people wouldn't leave her or her brother alone.
One day, the most popular members of the football team was picking on Kyle, making fun of him for being poor and having his kid sister stick up for him all the time, which Sarah had had to do on several occasions. Sarah stepped in again, but this time, after giving the half-back a black eye, Kyle turned on her, claiming that she made his life miserable by always stepping in where she wasn't wanted. When she tried to respond, Kyle backhanded her. She fell to the ground, staring up at her older brother. He'd never hit her before. She had done everything she could to protect him. She thought it had been the right thing. She looked him in the eyes, searching for the reason. She saw it there. He hadn't meant to, it had just happened. She could tell by the horrified expression in his face. However, that expression soon changed to one of mock anger. He told her to stay out of his business for good.
That night, Sarah's father went into another rage. She bore it as best she could, but she was already in a foul mood from her day at school. Then, her father threw a beer bottle at her, and it shattered against the wall behind her; the flying shards scratching her as they wizzed passed. That was the final straw. She picked up the largest piece left of the bottle, the neck and a bit of the part underneath it, and threw it back at him. It hit him square in the face, leaving a deep cut where the sharp part of the glass had struck him. He was in shock for a moment, then the rage returned. He grabbed some rope, tied her to her bed, and beat her while she couldn't fight back or defend herself. He left her there when he got tired, fully intending to leave her tied to the bed for a few days. He would make sure she never raised a hand to him again. However, that night, she was taken, dragged into Wonderland.
Roleplaying Sample:
Sarah gave the boogie in front of her a massive smile. βYes, of course I can cook. I absolutely love it!β she said, cheerfully as she could, lying through her teeth. She was good at this. The acting thing. She could want cut the guts out of the person she was talking to and choke them with their own entrails, much as she wanted to with this boogie, and still seem completely and convincingly sincere in her cheerfulness and willingness to do whatever he wanted. Her time here in Wonderland, short though it had been, had taught her that, despite having powers, the boogies weren't much different from humans. They had the same capacity for cruelty (some people would say a larger capacity, but those people were morons), and the same arrogant stupidity that most humans did. It disgusted her. However, unlike her parents, these creatures wouldn't hesitate to kill her if she didn't behave. She could already tell that. So, it was her best mask on, and she gave the performance as though her life depended on it. Because it did. Literally.
