The gloves slid over the pale hands, fingers flexing as he lowered his arms to his sides. The tail of his long coat faintly brushed against the ground, just the barest of touches as he straightened the wide-brim hat on his head. The last touch was a pair of orange sunglasses that covered up intensely glowing eyes. His hand was lifted once more to brush a strand of dark hair behind his ear before he left his chambers and walked leisurely down the hall. Pale lips lifted into a soft smirk as he continued. He had a new human to toy with and he was looking forward to seeing their fight against that crafty Death. Abaddon descended a dark stairway and opened a heavy door that opened into the Snake Bite Dungeon.
The sound of his boots clacking against the cold, stone floor echoed hauntingly throughout the dungeon as he passed by many cells, ignoring the bright eyes that followed his movements. He did not care for anything that wasn’t his. The Boogie’s pace slowed as he neared the cell. The faint light reflected in his glasses, making them glow as his pale skin was tinted in the light of fire. He appeared much like a wraith, stepping out of the dim shadows that hardly lighted him into the pool of candlelight. The human was huddled in a ball in the corner, he could detect no signs of movement from them, maybe she was asleep?
Abaddon opened the cell and stepped inside, kneeling by the woman and grasping her shoulder, shaking her firmly. “Wake from this hateful sleep, my dear, it is time to continue,” he whispered.
Nothing. Abaddon continued to shake her until she rolled over onto her back. Her body was rigid, cold…dead. Abaddon frowned. “That’s hardly ideal,” he chastised her. “You were supposed to wait for me, I could have made it more…enjoyable for you,” he finished, brushing the pads of his fingers over her eyelids and closing her eyes so they would no more stare blankly at her final resting place. He picked her up carefully, as though handling an injured lover, and stepped out of the cell. What a pity, she’d been a fun one. He’d almost broken her, using his talent to make her try to kill herself, to actually accept that flighty death and in the end he had missed that final transition. How disheartening.
Abaddon set her down near the entrance to the dungeon and looked down at her, considering her carefully. She had been pretty, round cheeks, cherubic features. Perhaps this was why death would never claimed him, he was already so damned that it didn’t matter whether he walked these halls or the halls of hell. The Boogie sneered at the thought and shook his head. “Alas, now I must seek the company of another, my dear,” he whispered to the corpse. “What a pity, yes, yes what an absolute pity.”
The day was young though, this wasn't the end. Once more, Abaddon would let his vision revive with the start of another human. He just needed to find the right one and this one, he was sure, would last. Yes, yes this little angel in front of him had proven herself somewhat useful. Not much, but it had been enjoyable.

Luke was alone. He spent most time alone besides trying to randomly instigate crap with a random Boogie. Kind of the reason he was here this dark damp drafty place, only no boogie would come take him ‘home’ though one wondered they would anyways? He growled sitting in the corner of the cell as someone had come and gone, though further away he had no clue who it was what they were doing, though in truth he didn’t give a fruit loop.
He was already scheming on how to get out of here. One wondered if his mind never stopped. Nope. He never gave up he’d die fighting before he’d roll over! So starting to devise a plain he did. Err….well…so far no luck but something could come to him, don’t worry.. He smirked and brushed a hand though his hair and groaned.
Then paused standing he walked over and put his hands around the bars and tried to wiggle them. Not much luck though the door did move, maybe if he had something to pull the hinges off….ah no luck there either. He growled and walked to the back wall and then ran forth ramming the bars. ….bad idea.
He landed with a thud and groaned rubbing his side. “dagnabit!” he hissed. Pushing himself up he walked back to the main wall and leaned glaring at the bars. Maybe he would suddenly develop heat vision. Maybe the food they have here would mutate a few select humans and they would evolve into mutants and kick some booger butt! Though that idea seemed less then possible would had been amusing. That and the thought of Luke with heat vision, meant one of two things. One-he’d been locked in here to long and was losing it….or two-he’d already lost ‘it’ but hadn’t realized it yet… he growled then closed his eyes listening as he thought he heard someone.

The sound of a clang, the exhalation of a curse...Abaddon turned his gaze from the dead girl to the depths of the dungeons. Ah, someone was trying to plot an escape then... Abaddon straightened and once again made the slow processional down the dimly lit dungeon to the source of the noise. He could hear the sounds of something moving behind the bars. Interesting, he must have been so caught up in thought that he hadn't noticed anyone before. In fact, he knew that had been the case.
The Boogie stopped outside of the cell and observed a young man in there. He didn't say anything for a while, he just watched him. Finally, Abaddon lifted a hand and removed his glasses. His eyes glowed in the dark, a fiery red, like the coals of a hot fire. He regarded the human, hmm such liveliness in those eyes of his. Abaddon considered his situation. Probably forgotten in this cell, maybe he was to be left to die. Abaddon knew he'd be one to fight it, what would it be like to bring him to that edge? He wanted to know, yes, yes he had to know.
He tucked his glasses into his coat pocket and then raised his hand again, resting it against the cold bars. "Fallen into a difficult situation?" he asked softly, eyes half lidded, his expression bemused. Such interesting creatures, these humans were, how he both loved and hated them. Pitied and envied them, but most of all, he loved to prove just how frail they truly were.
Abaddon's eyes brightened somewhat as his lips curled back slowly, revealing sharp teeth. "Curious to find someone up and about down here, most don't last an hour before they're curled up in the corner," he commented, brushing some stray dust from his sleeve.

Luke huffed as he heard someone coming, at first thinking maybe they’d open he door and he’d be able to jump them. He glared eyes narrowing as a strange boogie stopped and just stood there gazing at him quietly. What was it with boogies and never being able to just get to the point!?
Luke’s eyes softened as the Mr. Tall Dark and Gruesome spoke. He watched him curiously but still calmly that smirk on his face grew as he folded his arms. “went to the doc, and he said I had Rabies.” he stated with a snort and his grin grew as he watched him razing a brow. “what about you? Did the Halloween store kick you out for looking creepier then there decorations they were trying to sell?” he folded his arms behind his head. As the male spoke again.
He blinked. ‘Oh?” he paused. “naw! We were all having a party ! You just a little late and Jonny he’s just kind of quite.” he added “he’s shy.” he winked nodding towards a skeleton sitting against the wall. “sorry since your so late.” Luke paused and scratched his head. “we’re all out of punch.” he grinned dumbly.

Rather than getting irked with the boy's flippant attitude, Abaddon's grin simply grew and grew until it stretched across his face. Delightful, it was rare to find such spirited humans! The boy was so bold, so crass, it was truly amazing, Abaddon had yet to meet a human such as he. It made him want to bring him to that limit more than ever. Yes, he had to, needed to, he couldn't resist.
"The rabies, how unfortunate," Abaddon replied, playing along. He smirked a bit and canted his head ever-so-slightly to the side. "In old times many believed draining the blood of a stricken soul would save them," he left it at that and when the boy commented on Halloween, Abaddon simply laughed, waving a chastising finger at the human. "Oh no, no, no my boy. You have it all wrong. I'd be the one selling the decorations, my lad. But that is so very droll, one cannot hope to accomplish anything in such a state."
Hmm yes, so crass, so arrogant, so very disrespectful this human child was. Abaddon might find it rude, but the boy was in prison, one had to cut him some slack. His eyes glanced over at the skeleton and an expression that looked like sorrow crossed his face. "I came too late for him? What a pity, such a pity," he mused. "We all could have had so much fun." Red eyes focused on Luke again. "But you're still active, I see, which is more than I can say for most of my companions." His fingers traced along the lock of the cell and he smiled. "But such a divide, it truly could complicate a conversation, shall I let you out? I could be kind and show you things you'd never believe. The wonders of the earth, the secrets of Wonderland, all your fantasies, I can make you see them and perhaps then you shall grow to trust me?"
Not that he needed that, or even wanted it. Abaddon just enjoyed to play and this was going to be one of his greatest games. He could do the things he promised, he did so love his talent, but it wouldn't be nice things, oh no, it would be horrible. If the boy thought his very appearance was bad, wait until he really got going. To break the boy of this pride, it would be...lovely.

Luke razed a brow at the blood comment. “ah.” Luke rubbed his chin. “like in olden days when witches would be tired up and dropped off a cliff and into the water or sea. If they escaped they were human and if they died they were witches.” then grinned. “both ways seemed illogical, unless your going with the ‘Wizard of Oz’ reference.” he smirked. Then pulled off the wall walking about to the middle of the room.
“What fun could have.” he stated brushing his hair back. “only I don’t care so much for boogies.” he stated. He eyed him. “of darn I was ready to chew though the wall if I had to.” he rolled his eyes and put his hands on his hips. “though would happily trade places with you buddy.” he stated walking towards the bars and leaned his back against them, but not enough to fall if the door opened.
“desires?….fantasies?…the world? Wonderland eh?” he paused like he was thinking green eyes shimmering then looked toward the boogie out of the corners of his eyes. “nope…I don’t have any of them. Though if you want to let me out would be nice.” he smirked then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “yea,--no. I don’t trust anyone pops.” he stated.

Abaddon grinned once more. "Mmm yes, I suppose it is fair to make such an analogy," he said softly. The Wizard of Oz, such a human remark. Abaddon knew what it was, he'd been around long enough to catch the really big hits over in the human world, but still, that wasn't what really caught his mind. It was the boy's flippancy that kept him interested. Here he thought he'd have nothing to do today, that it would take him weeks to find something new, and here was something practically gift wrapped for him. Perhaps life was giving him a bit of luck. Wonderful. He shook his head slowly and let the smile fade from his lips. "Don't like Boogies? Such a strong prejudice you have, we're not all alike, you know," he said. Of course, he was one of those Boogies that helped with the bad reputation. Abaddon didn't understand the rare Boogies that actually....liked humans for their company. He frowned inwardly at the very thought. Humans, fascinating though they were, were below them and Abaddon found no shame in doing whatever came to mind when it came to the strange beings. Abaddon smirked a bit and shrugged. "Who wouldn't want to trade places with me? I've got a lot going for me," he snickered. "But you really should refrain from trying to chew through stone, you wouldn't want to ruin your teeth," he admonished as if the human was a troublesome child. But he failed in his amusement when he said there was nothing. Abaddon sighed and kept his unwavering gaze on the boy's face and then shook his head once more. "What a pity, and here I thought we might actually get somewhere," he said. The corners of his mouth twitched upward into a playful grin. "But if you don't like Boogies and you don't like prison, despite the company of your dear friend Jonny, then the logical scenario would be me opening the door and you trying to escape. The key word there...is trying." Suddenly he lifted his hands and the dungeon darkened, only his eyes could be seen in his silhouette. And then he started to work his talent, his talent of visual illusion. Multiple eyes started to appear over his body, all of them staring directly at the boy. "Now then, perhaps a better setting?" Abaddon whispered. The dungeon seemed to melt away from them to be replaced by a grand room with a warm fire blazing in the far wall. Comfy seats were set around the fire and lining one side of the room were grand windows, on the other were towering bookshelves packed tight with all sorts of titles. Abaddon could not teleport someone anywhere, but his illusions tended to be powerful enough to trick the senses into believing that they were truly in the scene. The extra eyes over him faded and he resumed his normal appearance, holding up his hands as though to stem a flow of questions that didn't come from the boy. "I know, I know, you don't trust me, but at least I'm nice, yes?" In reality, he was still standing outside of the cell and the boy was still inside, but it seemed as though they were both just freely standing in the room.

Luke smirked looking away. “well….if only the world was so kind.” he smirked. “I don’t know which world I despise worse, my own or this one.” he spat. Then ignored the chewing comment and huffed closing his eyes then looked back towards the boogie moving away and turned towards him. “Trying….heh….try me.” he smirked razing a brow.
But then he stopped smile fading as the place got darker. “what are you do--” he paused looking at him. His eyes widened. “what are you doing!?” he shouted looking at the darkness and mans new ‘exotic form’ eyes narrowing he pulled his hand back readying himself for anything as his eyes remained narrow and a little annoyed.
Though as the man muttered only think Luke could think about was just a typical Boogie, like he’d let his guard down around him! But then he froze a moment as they appeared in some kind of room. “what?” he asked bluntly to no one.
Looking around appeared the Boogie transported him somewhere, though not to shabby he was ready for anything…. He looked around, though didn’t move his feet a inch, half expecting the room to blow up, or a army of spiders to fall from the ceiling he looked up. Then looked to the fireplace. Then back towards the Boogie and looked calmly. “where are we?” he tilted his head a little looking calm not smiling but not to calmly either. He watched the male turn back to ‘normal’. his eyes looked a mix between dumbfounded and annoyed.
“Nice…..yea…okay.’ he half grinned then huffed. “Poor Jonny didn’t get to come along for the ride…” he folded his arms behind his neck. And looked around again, but still didn’t move.

Abaddon grinned as the human looked around. Ah he did so love doing this. It amused him that the boy looked a little annoyed. Did he think that they were in some new place? His face said that he might consider this the case and Abaddon wasn't about to tell him it was all an illusion. Once he accepted this as reality he would be very well trapped inside Abaddon's game. The Boogie let the boy look around to his heart's content without interrupting him, but soon too soon, he was focused back on Abaddon and the conversation continued.
He actually laughed when the human mentioned the now personified skeleton and he shook his head. "You're so sure of things, but you haven't looked behind you yet," he said, pointing to the spot over the boy's shoulder to where a new illusion was taking place. Jonny the skeleton would be seen standing behind the boy, mouth opening in closing in silent conversation.
"I wouldn't forget our new friend," he said. "It looks like getting out of the dungeon is doing him a world of good."
Abaddon chuckled and moved closer to the boy. In reality he was now opening the door of the cell and moving inside, but the illusion made it seem like he was walking unobstructed by opening the door and stepping inside the cell. He stood before the human now, red eyes boring into the human's. "Where are my manners? I've yet to formerly introduce myself. My name is Abaddon," he said, removing the hat from his head and giving a mock bow before straightening and replacing the hat.

Luke looked back at ’Jonny’ and smirked lightly rubbing his temples. “well I suppose.” he stated. Then tapped his chin. “though…I don’t think I like this place…” he frowned then blinked looking towards the Boogie approaching him. And as he introduced himself. “hum…” he took a deep breath. “Luke Valtrie.” h stated plainly. And watched him once again hoping he didn’t come any closer.
He stretched his arms over his head. “funny…I think this place is to nice for me.” he grinned then yawned mouth open wide then shut rubbing his eyes sleepily. “other then the fact Jonny starting to creep me out.” he smirked. Scratching the back of his head. “besides.” he turned away his back towards the boogie, almost as if testing him. “I get easily paranoid….don’t like staying in one place to long..” his green eyes looked back over his shoulder towards the Boogie. He then growled biting his lip and rubbed his shoulder.
It had been bruised when they threw him in here the other day. “ya know…I just don’t…trust…any of you…though your company….isn’t to bad.” he smirked.

Abaddon tilted his head to the side. "No? Not the sort of setting for you?" he asked. He sighed and shook his head. "Now really, here I go and spend energy to bring you away from that small cell, can't you just appreciate what life gives you?" he finished with a maniacal smile. And there it was, now he had a name. They were making such progress already. Abaddon considered offering his hand for a formal handshake, but something told him the boy would never accept it. "Luke, I'd say it's a pleasure though I've a feeling this is anything but for you."
The Boogie smirked a bit and his eyes seemed to glow more intensely. "Again, you must appreciate what is given to you, my boy," he said. His eyes shifted to Jonny and the skeleton seemed to snap to attention and began to stumble away from them to the corner of the room. "There, he'll keep his own company for the time being," he said. When Luke said he didn't like staying in one place for too long, Abaddon smiled and considered changing the illusion, but if the words were true and Luke started to get paranoid about this place, how would that change his disposition? He was so confident, Abaddon wouldn't mind seeing him react differently.
"Alas, I'm afraid here we shall remain for the time being," he said. He noticed Luke rub his shoulder and his gaze shifted to it to see the bruise marring the flesh. Grinning inwardly, Abaddon reached out, fingers brushing against it carefully, much like a doctor with his patient. "Hmm most Boogies do tend to be ever so careless when dealing with humans," he said.
As if he was one to talk, but Luke was lucky, for the time being, Abaddon was just getting to know him. This was his ritual, this was how he always did it. Know the human then torture the human. Then again, he didn't really see it as torture, he saw it as an experiment. He removed his hand and smiled. "Is that a compliment?" he asked. "I won't lie, I'm not particularly...fond of humans, but then I'm not particularly fond of Boogies either." Not that he disliked Boogies, he just felt indifferent towards them. He was sure some would provide wonderful company.

Luke smirked razing his brow. "Yea.....guess theres only one place for me.' he smirked. then yawned. "Guess that could be....behind bars.' he stated looking away. 'Of course, anything here....in this 'wonderland'.....i don't believe, less it hurts me." he chuckled then paused eyes widening as the boogie reached to wards him and brushed his fingers along his lightly bruised already tan skin.
"Uhg...' he winced lightly, he didn't like this, that feeling....he bit his lip and looked away, how long had it been since he was approached by anyone who 'cared' or least pretended? he frowned a little annoyed the Boogie was so close and not only that but touched him!?
still looking away he heard the male speak and frowned lightly. "I see....hum." he smirked. "Cant say there are many humans I'm to open with either....I...." her paused. "heh..." he shook his head. "I don't want anyone getting hurt around me." he brushed his hair back and sighed. "Besides....dont matter....if someones happy or sad here were all going to die anyways, i figure my expiration date is around the corner." he grinned.

Abaddon considered him for a moment, smiling lightly. "You don't believe anything unless it hurts you," he repeated. His grin widened, showing a row of sharp teeth. "Does that mean I'm not here until I afflict some sort of pain on you?" He may have to test that theory a little later. Hmm, yes, he would. The Boogie was enjoying himself immensely, humans with this much will power were hard to find. Some were strong, yes, but they resorted on closing themselves off and being dreadfully boring, Luke on the other hand, was proving to be a marvelous change.
He didn't back away from the human, he could see the annoyance in his face at his proximity, but he did not get any closer either. He was just far enough away that he was bordering personal space, any closer and Luke would have every right to tell him to back off. These subtle limits, Abaddon lived for them. He chuckled a bit. "You don't open up hmm? Does this mean I'm being given a rare opportunity to learn about you?" he asked.
Really now, Luke brought it up, he brought up the subject of death, of expiration, Abaddon didn't even have to do it himself. Excellent, it was a great start already. The smile on his face faded and a much more serious expression stole over his features. He gazed at the boy for a while and then nodded solemnly. "Yes, you will expire," he said. "But it will not be soon, I don't allow humans to go out as simple as a candle being blown out."
He backed away now and held his arms open, a frightening smile on his face now. "I won't play the reaper, not yet anyway," he whispered. Those eyes appeared again and though the room they were in did not turn into something else, there were noticeable changes. The walls were stained in what looked like blood, the skeleton Jonny was now crawling on the floor with muscles and sinews still remaining, the fire was out but shapes still jumped to and fro within the grate. Abaddon lifted a hand and the walls cracked, the world outside the great windows was barren and gray and the floor beneath their feet seemed to shift, giving the sensation of being on a boat.
"But I will show you things that will make you appreciate just how beautiful Wonderland really is."

Luke smirked razing a brow, when he was still only inches away from the boogie. “Maybe….I don’t know.” he smirked with a small grin. Hurt him? To see what’s real? “You make me sound like a cutter.” he chuckled shaking his head plainly. He didn’t seem to mind at all, his heart was even almost clam, save the personal space fact. He looked back up at the Male a ‘what?’ look on his face.
“Learn about me?” he razed a brow and folded his arms. “Not much to learn, I’m almost 20 years old, hate boogies, have tan skin, li-er dark hair, tall, like picking fights and eating junk food.” he stated aloud and counted his fingers, though for no real reason. “Wanted to join the air force, and I also know how to kick some arse.” he smirked watching the male. He razed his brow again then eyes narrowing, green shimmering.
“Like a candle?” he quoted him then shook his head. “I don’t think so… your kind always make it a little more ‘interesting’ then finishing someone off…from ripping someone limb from limb, make them bleed to death.. Or drive them insane…before you kill them, or they kill themselves.” his eyes narrowed as the male backed away from him. “I’ve need a lot it….and it might happen to me any time soon….and its sure as he** going to be more interesting then any murder seem thus so far.” he stated almost a aura coming off of him. Though he didn’t look angry, he showed no feeling at all….
He then jumped lightly…those eyes again, meant something. Luke wasn’t as dumb as he acted, he was actually piecing everything together. The room kept changing, he thought he might fall and loose his footing but then closed his eyes and remained steady on his feet. And looked back at the boogie and a smile stretched across his features.
