It was perhaps the first day of actual peace Kristopher Roberts has had in a long time. He sat with his lover and boyfriend within the library, silently enjoying his company. The two where seated in one of the random isles on the third floor of the library. Sharing a book.
No one was around to bother them, and no one needed the two for the day, it was just perfect. Kristopher was situated between Augusta’s bent legs, his blond head was resting against the dark haired boys chest. The blond boy let out a soft sigh as he listened to his lovers heart beat and feeling the rise and fall of his chest.
These where the moment’s Kristopher loved, just sitting around and doing nothing of importance with Augusta. The green eyed blond rested his hands on the others legs and then bent his own legs slightly to help keep him comfortable and well balanced.
The page turned and Kristopher tilted his head, he didn’t say a word. He merely stared at the page but his eyes did not scan through the page like Augusta’s was more then likely doing. Kristopher had stopped reading the book a few minute ago. The font wasn’t hard to read nor where his eyes harming him any. But there was just a small problem the blond never told anyone about, other then his Master, or rather old Master - Naelona.
He wasn’t about to announce it now either.
So the blond sat in silence. His green eyes started to scan the pages again and he could read the sentence and understand what he read until he came to the second sentence, from there he was unable to read half the words. He didn’t even know what they meant, feeling awkward, he shifted lightly. Then very carefully put a finger to his lower lip in thought, silently trying to sound out the word(s) he was seeing. Not getting it, his face turned confused with a lop sided smirk of confusion rather then joy.

It would not be a surprise to anyone that the ebony-haired boy would be in the library. In fact, Augusta Davingoun spent for of his beginnings in Wonderland on this very floor. This happened to be his favorite, considering all the 'not-disturbing' books were up here. He was very young when he found this particular book. Which soon became of his personal favorites. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It seemed a bit girly for a person like Augy to be reading, but in reality it was a humorous book with as much comedy as romance.
"But I can assure you," she added, "that Lizzy does not lose much by not suiting HIS fancy; for he is a most disagreeable, horrid man, not at all worth pleasing. So high and so conceited that there was no enduring him! He walked here, and he walked there, fancying himself so very great! Not handsome enough to dance with! I wish you had been there, my dear, to have given him one of your set-downs. I quite detest the man."
At reading this Augusta chuckled lightly. He felt the blond shift, and then look at the page with thought. He ran a hand through the blonde's hair before looking at the page. He wasn't sure how, but he got a feeling in his gut that something was up. This seemed to happen when you got to know someone so well, Augy want shocked or anything.
He smiled softly, " what's wrong Kristopher?" he said, he was so content right now, he was relaxed and comfortable, which was a rare moment nowadays. He found that lately, he was getting pretty busy, and plus things were started to cram up his life. And that was making things a bit difficult when trying to spend time with his one-and-only. But he always seemed to make time for Kristopher, even if it was late, he always made time. No matter what.

Kristopher narrowed his eyes slightly, his brows coming together in thought as he looked at the page. The blond removed his finger from his lip and replaced it with the sleeve of his long flannel shirt. He started to chew on the sleeve slowly.
F-A-N-C-Y-I-N-G.
He stared at the word, fancying. What kind of word was that? Really, it looked seriously complicated to the blond who never saw the word on a daily bases. Well, let’s see, he knew what the F sounded like and a few of the laters, but putting the sounds together escaped him entirely. Once again his lips tried to silently sound out the word, among many others.
" what's wrong Kristopher?"
Kristopher blinked and tilted his head up to look at Augusta and he smiled softly, “Nothing.” He said and looked back at the book, that evil, evil book. He was silent again, staring. Then slowly he reached out with his other hand with the scared wrist and ghost his finger over the sentences as if trying to find his place, when in reality he was trying to sound out that annoying word!
His finger stopped over the word, fancying, then after a long moment he got the word and cheered mentally. His finger moved along once again, stopping at set-downs (for he did not understand the meaning of the word) and then went on again. Stopping a third time at detest.

“Nothing.”
Hmpf... Augusta knew better then to believe that.
Augy didn't say anything though, because as he watched the blond put his finger on the page, he started to figure things out. The blond seemed to be deep in thought, and that was a sure sing that something was not right. It was just a feeling. He smiled and reached out to hold Kristopher's outstretched hand, which at the moment was lying on detest.
He smiled, " detest... to hate or dislike intensely." he said softly and kissed the boys ear. " Darcy's talking about how much she hates Mr. Hurst... How he's all snotty and thinks he's all that..." he said. He let go of Kris's hand, it wasn't that hard to figure out. Kristopher stopped at words that Augusta blew by easily. But you had to consider the difference, Augusta was taught by a private tutor since he could write, and then had Jouhnin to teach him, and also had the edge of being very, very intelligent. So Augusta didn't laugh or anything, just helped his lover along with the words.
Hopefully it wouldn't offend him or anything...

This book was rather tough, he wished the dark haired boy would pick out an easier one. Last time he did and Kristopher had little trouble following along, but with this book. . . Dear god.
He sighed softly as he felt the others hand grasp his own and a soft blush crossed the blonds features. Not because of the affectionate touch but due to the fact that Augusta was probably smart enough to figure out what was troubling Kristopher.
" detest... to hate or dislike intensely."
The blush ran deeper across the blonds soft features as he heard the older speak to him, kissing his ear softly. “I - I knew that.” He lied horribly as his eyes looked away from the book towards the book shelf in front of the two.
" Darcy's talking about how much she hates Mr. Hurst... How he's all snotty and thinks he's all that..."
“That, I didn’t know.” He answered as he felt himself hunch slightly, not from the touches or corrections but because Kristopher did not feel up to par with Augusta. The blond was once again not at the same level as his lover. This bothered him slightly. Even more so when Augusta released the younger’s hand. Which Kristopher then moved across the page a bit longer, although he did not exchange anymore words for the moment.
It was clear that Augusta knew what was wrong with the blond. Kristopher, unlike Augusta, did not have a private tutor and did not get to go to school but maybe once a week and if he was lucky a full week once a month. What Kristopher knew about words and the like was only the lessons he learned in school, taught himself or learned from Naelona. Kristopher Robert’s reading skill was that of a fourth or possibly fifth grader. But he was a bright boy and could pick up on things quickly, but for the time being it was going to be a slow process.
His finger moved across the page and he stopped at the word ‘Affectation’ on page two of Chapter Four. “What’s that?” he asked very shyly, much more shyly then normal. It was clear that the blond was embarrassed at his skills and having been found out.

Augusta felt the air get a bit damp, dreary. This had happened once before, in the music room. Kristopher wanted to learn piano so they could share something. But Augusta knew better, he knew Kristopher and himself were polar opposites, and unlike Kristoper, he was okay with that. He knew everyone had strengths and weaknesses, and that everyone was different. And he doubted that Kris would ever be 'up-to-par' with Augy.
Augy took off his glasses and blinked a couple times, so when the blond boy asked him what 'that' was. He couldn't see 'that' and therefor sighed. He put his glasses back on and smiled. He couldn't help but think the shy side of Kristopher was just adorable. It made Augy want to cudle the blond for the rest of his days. He laid his head on the blonds shoulder, " a deep love or desire..." he said softly. " Augusta has a deep affection for food..." he said in a joking sort of manner, giving Kris an example.

" a deep love or desire..."
Kristopher pressed back against Augusta in a way a child would with a blanket in order to gain warmth, or in Krissy case, to hide a bit. He didn’t know why he felt so awkward, it shouldn’t be such a big deal. After all, Kristopher never really had much of a school like and Augusta knew that. Poor Kristopher never made it past the 3rd grade and was going to be held back a year before he disappeared into Wonderland. From there well, his skills increased enough to go through the basics.
The blond shifted again and blinked as he listened to the older boy let out a sigh and place his head on Kristopher’s shoulder. The blond blushed again but rested the side of his head against Augy’s.
“Augusta has a deep affection for food..."
Kristopher promptly elbowed his boyfriend in the ribs playfully. “I gather that, but why can’t they just say affection? Rather then…” he paused and narrowed his green eyes at the word. “Aff-fact-ation--en---aff--fac--tat---whatever that word is…” He waved a partially sleeve covered hand at the book. “I don’t get it, can’t they just be more clear? Like, The person went to the party, got mad and started to complain? Or rather, just say he or she liked whatever they like…in English?”
