Appearance:

Large, muscular and somewhat resembling an albino Elric can be an intimidating figure. With his pale skin and white hair and a distinctive scar across the ridge of his nose he is relatively easy to identify by sight. His eyes are fierce and his expression is grumpy by default. He rarely lets down the external bearing that he maintains for protection.
Elric wears a sleeveless shirt that looks like it's one size too small, but hides this fact under a larger blue jacket that he rarely removes. He doesn't keep any jewelry, save for a single plain earring in his left ear, and is otherwise very simple and utilitarian in his dress. He likes being comfortable, but he tries to keep at least one set of nice, dressy clothing stowed away.

Personality:

A man of opposites, he's cold and passionate, calm and brash, loyal and distrusting, and easy to make jealous. Elric enjoys simple things like time spend in contemplation, spiced cider and workouts. Those who befriend him are lucky and have a loyal friend, and those whom he looks up to are rarer and luckier still.
When Elric isn't working he's trying to relax himself, which is frequently a losing battle. When he looks at Wonderland and the other slaves he realizes that he is fairly well adjusted. Sometimes he realizes that he considers Wonderland more of a home than his old home had ever been, and that scares him.

History:
Elric grew up in a fairly old-fashioned house and was raised with some old-fashioned standards and ideas about how the world works. He was raised to be a gentleman and to behave in a very specific way, and to this day he considers many behaviors unacceptable, even in his unique circumstances. His standards are unattainable in most circumstances, which means he simply strives for an unreachable goal.
He was put into a trade school at thirteen, and Elric quickly learned to hate the craft of metalworking. After a year of training he was finally fed up and was going to do something about it. One evening he just left without telling anyone, bringing along enough to get by in the forest. He trudged miles through the cold snow, even after night had fallen. Alone and cold in the woods Elric laid himself down to go to bed in the woods.
When he awoke, he was surrounded by a nightmare. It took a while, but eventually he came to accept his new set of circumstances and an unalterable part of his life. The only unbearable thing, in his opinion, is that he still works at the craft he had grown to hate so very much in the 'other world' and now he does it to serve a much more vile and unforgivable purpose - to maintain the Boogies' dominance.
