The faint off music reached his ears, but Akira didn't pay attention to it. The faint breeze was colder than it had been the last time he'd paid a visit here. A meaningless graveyard, his parents' names weren't here and they never would be, but that didn't stop him from coming. Dead people were buried in graveyards, so far this was about the most normal place he had found since being in Wonderland. Akira paused at an old grave, one that was so faded that he could barely make out the name, and honestly, he had never tried too hard to do that.
This way he could pretend.
Pretend it was his parents' grave. It was the only attachment he had left to his old life and the only way he could show he cared. For he would never give care to another, just to figures only alive in his memory. As usual, Akira sat down in front of the faded grave, dismissing the scratches still in the granite proclaiming who was really buried here. Hell, it may have even been a Boogie, but once again, Akira shoved all such thoughts aside and instead focused on making his illusion reality. He was visiting his parents' grave.
"One day I'll get out of here and I'll really pay my respects," Akira whispered.
Yes, one day he would escape this hell and he'd be free. Free to live his life. He was still young, there was no reason to despair, though hardships had definitely marked him. His lips were never smiling, his eyes were always harsh, and his aura was closed off, never inviting. The blond sighed and looked up at the darkening sky.

Luke was hanging around, why? Ah that was a little personal. He spotted the male as he walked towards the graveyard and stopped, the guy seemed as troubled as Luke was when he came here, ah meant Luke would have to be ‘happy’ now. He slowed his place putting his hands in his pockets. “its good for comfort, but still not quite satisfying..” he said looking away. Calmly he pulled his hand back and folded them behind his neck his elbows sticking out in front of him. “Call me insane, you want out of here?” he razed a brow and smirked green eyes shimmering.
He walked over running his hand over a tomb stone. “well….me too.” he said with a small smirk looking back at him, boy most likely wanted to be left alone, and that was the main reason Luke was still here, I mean really if he couldn’t deal with Luke he wasn’t going to last long around Boogies. And Luke was being relatively ‘nice’. Luke smiled. ‘heh….” he grinned putting his hands on his hips and walked towards the boy. “I AM going back home!” he nodded. And gave a thumbs up. ‘free to join me, but you have to be ready for anything hell may cough up at you.” he stated matter-of-factly and stated walking away.
Just like that Luke came, and was going? What was his deal most wondered, well though deep inside he wouldn’t let his guard down in front of someone, no less ever let anyone see him hurt. He smiled grinned and laughed though it all, though one may wonder which ones were real or not….
“By the way Name’s Luke Valtrie, heh ever need to talk Let me know.” he waved.

Akira looked up sharply when he heard a voice. He'd been so trapped in his thoughts that he hadn't heard anyone approaching. Purple eyes narrowed as they took in the other figure. He appeared human, but how was he supposed to tell when those damn Boogies appeared normal themselves? No, they weren't normal, those bastards were monsters. "I'm not really here for comfort, more for repentance...and solitude," he said. Akira never really bothered with manners, he preferred people to get the wrong impression so that they would let him be alone. But his interest was raised when the other mentioned getting out of here. Akira stood up slowly, facing the other boy. "Is it that obvious?" he asked with a humorless smirk.
Akira never let his emotions really show, but he could feel his pulse being to quicken at the thought of finding someone else who wanted to leave. He stared at the other, but...what made him so special? Akira had tried to get out of Wonderland and failed time and time again. "I suppose you say that with confidence because you have some sort of plan," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "And believe me, I've been through hell already, I don't think it can get much worse."
When the other started walking away, Akira felt irritated. He wanted to hear more about this escape. Why would this boy make such declarations and then walk away. Luke Valtrie...Akira would remember that. "Is this your usual method?" he asked, keeping his voice level even though the last thing he wanted was for this punk to leave before he told him more. All he needed to hear was the plan, then he'd get out of here.
"Because normally when one wants to leave and is presented with that chance they like to talk and as soon as I can figure out how to escape this hell."

Luke paused mid step and twisted back to look at him and smirked shaking his head. “dude…No plains, no promises, and very little assurance can really get out.” he stated folding his arms. “I just Believe it, gather some rumors, and fight to the death, that’s all there is to do so that’s what I’m doing, so while I’m here, I’m going to help who I can, and live as free and happy as I possibly can.”
“So…most likely going to die here, where ever here is another world, dimension, or maybe this is hell and we died already.” he said. “sit around on it all day isn’t going to get anyone anywhere, so I just do what I want, I will not bow down to anyone…” he stated. And sighed maybe that was coming on to strong? But Luke just wasn’t one to sugar coat things less he was really joking. Maybe he would die here, but he was going to have one heck of an adventure first!

[[OOC: no worries man]]
"My name is Akira, not 'dude'," he said grumpily before focusing back on the topic at hand. "You base it all off of some random belief?" Akira asked skeptically. He should have known that there wasn't going to be any real answers, not from someone else. He needed to find his own answers and get out of here solo. There was no hope for finding help here. "You know all the effort you put into helping others could be better used helping yourself. It's a free for all as far as I'm concerned." He realized that his attitude would probably succeed in chasing Luke off, but Akira was so used to behaving this way that he wasn't about to just act friendly, especially when Luke didn't have any real information on a way out of here. Fight to the death, what the hell was the point? The best thing to do was to survive and if you were lucky, you'd find a way home.
Akira smirked. At least Luke had spirit, if he were talking to anyone else he might have been able to convince them, instead, Akira just shrugged. "If we're dead I guess I've been wasting a lot of time," he said. He raised a brow. "And what of the Boogies. You go around recruiting other humans they're going to be bound to notice at some point."

Luke looked back at him folding his arms a serious look on his face. “That’s rather depressing.” he said standing up tall. “Helping others….helps you more in the end then you know.” he looked out in the distance for a moment. “I don’t want to be alone…when I die. He it here….or anywhere else.” he stated. Then smirked, seemingly back to his normal self. “but hey that’s just me.” he stated with a goofy face. “I like friends, some people don’t, eh I’m happy if I can comfort anyone, then I know ‘m not completely useless.” he winked.
He waved a hand and smirked. “not so much gathering people up as I am trying to inspire!” he laughed and winked then brushed his hair back and cracked his neck. “Pain keeps me alive,” he grinned then stretched yawning. Then blinked and pulled a small sack off his belt and walked back over to the male. “here take something.” he said plainly opening it up seemed full off goodies, candies and some fruit like apples, and even some pieces of wrapped up bread. “help yourself.” he smirked.

Helping others...it would be nice to think that way, but Akira didn't think that was true, not in his opinion. "You try to protect and help others and chances are they'll be taken from you. I'd rather not go through with that and live my life attached to nothing." He wasn't even sure why he was bothering to explain it to Luke. Maybe he just need justification for himself, to let himself know that what he was doing, how he was living...wasn't wrong. There was no written code that people had to help others. Maybe he was selfish, but Akira didn't care about being selfish, he'd rather just help himself, it was easier that way...not having to worry about letting anyone else down.
Pain...did Luke live with pain? Akira certainly did, but it was obvious that the two viewed it differently. If pain brought Luke alive, it killed Akira. He could handle it, but he saw it as failure on his part. He should have been able to do whatever needed without sustaining injury. He should be better then he was! But there was nothing he could do right now. Nothing at all, and such a fact made him burn with rage. Inspired? Akira didn't feel inspired. It would probably be better to formulate an idea with Luke if he wanted to get out too, but what would that do? Akira was lacking faith in everything, even himself.
Akira blinked, surprised when Luke came closer and held out a bag. He frowned slightly and looked inside to see what was in it. "What is this, halloween?" he asked, but he reached inside anyway to grab one of the apples. Candy wasn't really his thing. "...thanks," he added. He was pretty hungry, but he wouldn't admit that, he was just being 'polite' he supposed. "How long have you been here anyway?" he asked.

Luke smirked watching him quietly then took a deep breath and stretched again. Acting like it wasn’t a big deal. “I’ve been here only five years.” he nodded. “Though as much as I think I deserve torture and to live this place until I die…I cant.” he looked away. “I have to go home, and tell my parents I’m sorry.” he nodded. “if I could just do that, I’d almost happily jump back into this forsaken place.” he stated and plopped down on the ground a few paces from the other male and stretched his legs out then pulled his long legs up knees under his chin.
His emerald eyes gazed off into the open. His eyes looked empty. “I have to give…until there is nothing left I can do…then maybe…I could finely….be forgiven…” he said then laid back. “don’t get me wrong..” he muttered… “I like helping people….either way.” he said quietly and gazed up at the sky. “it hurts to relax like this.” he closed his eyes then put his hand over his face.

"Five years..." Akira repeated under his breath. "Even a day here is torture enough," he added more audibly. He'd been here for twelve years. Most of his life was spent in this place. Sometimes it was hard to even remember what that other place had been like. It didn't help that his parents were moving around all the time either. Akira never felt at home, it was a pity that this place felt more like one than his one back in the human world, but only because his memories of this place were far more vivid. "People do what they have to do," he continued. "If that's all it takes for you to find happiness then by all means do what you can to get it." He closed his eyes and sighed. What was happiness to him? He couldn't remember and he could never meet with his family again, they were dead.
Akira didn't say anything for a while after Luke's last comment, instead he bit into the apple he'd gotten from the other's bag. Finally he sighed again. "I'm not sure how to be forgiven," he said. "Maybe you'll be luckier than me and get it though." One could argue this was Akira being encouraging, maybe even nice, though his voice remained as cold as ever. He looked over at Luke when he placed a hand over his face and he let out a gruff laugh, with no humor.
"Maybe it's because you've forgotten what it's like...to actually relax," he suggested. "From what I've experienced, I know I will never relax until my task is done."

“Task…” Luke muttered folding his arms behind his head and closed his eyes thinking silently for a while before sighing. “I don’t know, guess I cant argue.” he said plainly man this guy was one the worst he’d seen talk about depressed. He was even rubbing off on Luke, he’d have to leave before it really cramped his ‘style’.
Luke opened his eyes slowly and sighed deeply then took in a deep breath. “I just manage to live….its not so hard, not as hard as it seems.” he stated. “if you live in the past you might as well admit your giving up on life, and everything else. But if you look forward…..who knows what could happen.” he said sitting up then standing and dusting of he grinned and giggled flashing a thumbs up and nodded. “no big, though sorry for brothering ya dude.” he chuckled scratching the back of his neck.

[OOC: Hey it's all good with me]
Akira didn't say anything for a while and then he sighed loudly and rubbed the back of his neck. Great, leave it to him to come to the graveyard the one night someone else is wandering around. It'd be easier if he could just tell Luke that he was a fool and didn't have a valid point...but what he was saying sort of made sense. It was fighting against the wall Akira had built. Living in the past...Akira wanted to shut that out, deny that that was how he lived, but he couldn't lie to himself. That was exactly how things were when it came to him. All he thought about was getting home to get revenge for his parents, to make peace with that life, he had never even considered embracing what he had here. Of course, he didn't have much here so there wasn't a lot to embrace and no way in hell was he going to suddenly change in the space of one conversation.
"You're not...bothering me," he said, and though he meant that it didn't sound as though he were really sincere. That was a problem he usually had and it wasn't one he really tried to fix. "Maybe you even have a point, but for the last twelve years all I could do was live in the past so I don't lose myself in this present," he said. "I doubt that makes sense, but I'm not really one to fully explain myself."
Akira sighed again and tossed the apple core into the graveyard, hearing it hit the ground with a muffled thud. He looked up at the darkened sky. "Sometimes I wonder what it would be like...to actively fight this, but one has to consider their mortality too."

Luke paused looking back towards him and frowned then smiled lightly. “I think everyone has a part of there past they cant wake up out of…” he nodded and added. “even me.” he sighed shaking his head he turned back toward the grave yard hair blowing though his hair softly. He brushed his hand though it and then paused looking at his hand and frowned whipping something on his pants. “ahm…well…” he scratched his chin. And walked a little more over toward the male once again. Then plopped down in front of him and starred him right in the eyes.
“Well…seems you need a friend…” he said holding out his hand. “I swear….I’ll watch your back when ya want to let me.” he smirked and gave a thumbs up. “not asking for anything in return or whatever, just…another friend and heh don’t worry I wont hug you, regardless how much you may need it.” he chuckled muttering that last part under his breath then grinned dumbly.

It was almost hard to believe Luke when he spoke, revealing that he understood what Akira had meant. The other boy just seemed so...content about everything. Of course, maybe he could just hide his bitterness, unlike Akira. It was almost a relief to know that there was at least someone who got it, but at the same time it was...irksome. Akira was better left alone, he was better off with his walls intact and having someone who could possibly get over those walls was an almost frightening thought. "Tch, so much for me being the only one able to complain about it," he said. There may not have been humor to his tone, but there didn't need to be to show he was actually joking around a bit.
The offered hand and friendship took Akira by some surprise. Most people he talked to hoped to avoid him any time afterwards, but Luke was actually trying to be his friend. Akira never had a friend before, he wasn't sure if he wanted one either, but he sighed and conceded, taking the offered hand. "Fine, knock yourself out," he said. "I'm not so sure how good of a friend I'll make, but I suppose I could put some effort into it." He frowned slightly at the comment about a hug, not catching the rest of what Luke said and he shrugged, looking away.
"Good, I like my personal space anyway...and I'm pretty sure it's a good thing I didn't hear the rest of what you said," he said.

Luke grinned shaking his hand then smirked. 'well....supose i could put a little effort into it too." he brushed his hair back. then rubbed his neck. "so pop question." he asked standing and dusting off. "how do you sneak away from the Boogers?" he asked curiously.
"I mean....dont you have a 'owner'" he rolled his eyes at that word he would die before ever using the world. 'master' he'd NEVER brake down and use hat term, he shuttered lightly then huffed. "ahhhhhh!" he shouted aloud. "Boogies! they pi** me off!" he shouted. then held his hands in the air. "want to go Booger hunting?! if only i had a shot gun and a few rounds....MWAHAHAH!" he laughed....kidding of course.
he then looked back to wards his new friend and chuckled. "Totally not insane. he he.' he smirked.

Akira looked at him for a moment. Boogers? Seriously? He couldn't help but shake his head and smile lightly at that. An immature nickname, yes, but it certainly made them seem a lot less impressive. "I think I must be lucky," he said, focusing on Luke's question. "Either that or they've realized that I'm never going to find the way out of here and just don't care where I go now."
He tensed and his gaze turned more into a glower when Luke mentioned owners. He didn't consider himself owned by anyone! He took a deep breath to keep himself from snapping at the other boy. Man, he really, really hated when that subject was brought up. "I do, but he doesn't seem care too much about where I go," he said, his voice cold again. He was glad when Luke said Boogies pissed him off, it moved the subject on and Akira was only too glad to be rid of that topic. "It's what they're best at," he agreed.
Akira blinked and then furrowed his brow. Booger Hunting? Yeah, that would be successful. He sighed and shrugged a bit. "I wish," he said. Akira smirked and crossed his arms. "Not insane? I think you just lied to me," he said. He stood and paced a bit, before glancing over at Luke again. "Not that I'm holding it against you, of course, I think everyone here is a little insane."
