The grand hall was empty, dark, and smelled of rotted meat. Two of the three were average. Care to guess? Correct! Though this is Wonderland, not every room smelt of decay despite contrary belief.) Why did it smell? Where was the single source of light just erupt from? Iugo lit a small circle of candles around himself and a small pile of both the recently and not so recently deceased. Agony jumped about the flicker shadows outside the ring of light. The red embers of the cigarette glowed hot for a moment, before a gray smoke slowly oozed from the boogie's lips. A grin then spread.
Wearing his black slacks, loose white shirt, and his jacket, which he just tossed aside, was all he had on his, openly. Turning to the pile, he picked up the body of a young bo-
Snap
The arm detached, sending the body back into the pile. That one was too old to toy with. Tossing the arm aside, he watched Agony dart into the abyss that existed outside the circle. The damned little familiar didn't waste scraps. Turning back to the pile, his glasses reflect the candle light, hiding his eyes from onlookers. Picking up another body, this of a teenage girl, he jiggled the lifeless body. No limbs fell off, so he hoisted her into his arms, a charming smile replacing the evil smirk. "Shall we dance?" The Doctor asked, before moving fluidly within the circle, dancing to the imaginary music and a morbid partner. Today was a day of relaxing, so the boogie wasn't going to be in the lab today. At least it wasn't planned... There was always a worthy excuse to pull one back to the necessary task of cutting up stupid humans.

Most things become fairly familiar to a person, or Boogie, after staying at Boogie Palace for so long. For Jasmine, such familiarity was a comfort as well as a blessing, but it did tend to get boring when nothing fun hapened after a long time. And though rescuing people left and right was all fine and dandy, it left the plum-haired girl feeling a bit to vunerable emotionaly for her liking. She needed something dark and Boogie-ish to combat the kindness her heart seemed to be pushing into her head. Such a release seemed to echo down the dark halls from the ballroom. Call it a feeling.
Or maybe it was just the stench of dead bodies.
Creping down the halls, Jazz reached the adjar doors to the ballroom and slipped inside without a second thought. Her black nightdress kept her well hidden in the shadows, but the midnight-blue gemstones all down her front glowed in the dim lighting.
The sight before her was morbid, and horribly immoral, but she didn't really care all that much. One body or a bakers dozen...didn't really matter to much to her. Death was death, and at least they were in a better place now. The boogie dancing with the corpse, however, disturbed and amused her on many levels. She stayed outside the circle of candles, the light burned her eyes, but just close enough to watch this grim spectecal. A empty, almost mask-like smile started on her pale face.
"I never knew the dead could dance so well." She mused, pulling on the blue mini-jacket on her shoulders. This was doomed to be an intresting evening.

A spin and a twirl the body looking as if it would crash to the ground at any moment. But Iugo had full control over the corpse, allowing his long arms to dip the girl's head down, the skull almost bashing into the strong stone floor. Almost. Turning, his eyes were focused on the body, seeming to take no heed of the other boogie present. Using their built momentum, the Doctor whipped the body about his, her lifeless form seeming to have life, her toes pointed, arm and hand outstretched, head back in a triumphant maneuver. The moment was short, as the energy outward was lost from the pull of Iugo's grip, leaving him to catch the girl, looking down into the lifeless eyes that were held open after his demise.
Thump
The body hit the floor, crumpled at Iugo's bare feet. He took a drag of his cigarette, just looking down at the corpse. Silent and introspective. The silence would drag on, with only the sound of small, clawed feet skittering about in the darkness around them. Agony was watching warily, having many bad memories with boogies, more specifically, familiars. Big... white... nasty ones...
While Agony reminisced of the horrible canine beast, Iugo held his silence. It would hold until Jasmine would think she was unheard or unnoticed, but right before she spoke, perhaps even interrupting her, the Doctor recognized her presence. "The dead's skill relies wholly on the one using them." His eyes slid over the horizon, eying Jasmine from outside his glasses. "I've yet to see a body get up on it's own and do a tango without outside help," Iugo added, placing one hand on his hip and the other on his death stick, taking a long drag. Longer than a human could imagine trying. With a slow exhale, the lighted area would begin to look a little foggy.

The Doctor's silence didn't bother Jasmine at all. Quite the opposite. She liked quiet, and most Boogies weren't quiet, so this fellow was on her good list at the moment. She watched the body of the young girl fall, half expecting her to be caught, but her expression remained blank as she hit the ground. Jazz went from the corpse to Iugo, then back to the sound of the scratchy footsteps, which didn't bother or surprise her, then back to the corpse. It was a strange moment. Strange to an extreme.
Right when Jasmine considered leaving, thinking her voice hadn't been heard, Iugo spoke. Golden eyes flickered with the candles, staring right into his. The way he spoke reminded her of one of the realists she'd seen in the human world...but more sardonic. She preferred them like that. "Then I should be giving you the praise instead?" her voice held less than a drip of sarcasm, taking a step closer to the pile of deceased humans, "You must practice a lot. You have many dance partners..."
She coughed from the smoke, pulling her long sleeve over her nose and mouth. Normally she'd chastise him for smoking, but something in her gut told her that wouldn't be the best idea.

Iugo took his sweet time in answering again, watching the smoke swirl in the light air currents, from unseen crevices to their very words. During this time, Agony came toward the light, his glowing yellow eyes staying just in view, hopping and bobbing around, tilting and turning as the goblinoid took in the woman's presence. She seemed soft and quiet... He didn't like that. For an split second, this boogie reminded him of Piper! Though the defiance was missing... But there were plenty of candlesticks to be thrown... Squinting and chattering to himself, the familiar took a cautious step back. This little bugger learned from his past encounters. Even if Iugo could take care of the above average boogie, he'd rather not have anything, let alone a lit candle, at his head.
Completely ignoring her earlier statements, Iugo turned fully to the boogie before him. "Have we met?" This caused an eye brow to raise. As he spoke he walked casually to Jasmine, gently taking her hand in one of his, the other removing the cigarette. "Because I'm sure I would remember a face as beautiful as yours." With that said, the Doctor raised her hand to his lips and planted a soft kiss on the back of her palm. "I am Doctor Iugo Nationis," He finished, allowing her hand to slip from his cold hands. "I am... ah... How to put it..." Pausing for a moment, he finally came up with his answer. "I'm what you call a master of science, torture, and revenge. Nothing too special." This was finished with a small smile, disarming to thsoe that knew of the terrors that this boogie was capable of.

Jasmine payed no attention to the strange dwarf-like familiar as it eyed her coolly. There were plenty of creatures in Wonderland, each as diffrent physically as they were mentally. Hades, for example, was a majestic pheonix. But his personality reminded her more of a golden retriever. Still, at least he was pretty. This man's familiar was just creepy. Jasmine wanted to try kicking it...but decided that wouldn't be the proper, polite thing to do to a stranger's troll. I mean familiar...
The sudden change in Iugo's attitude surprised the girl Boogie. Her golden eyes glowed from something other than candle-light, but her skin remained pale and cool, unlike certian humans who would have gone pink in such situations. Jasmine simply gave him a small, if not completly suspicious smile, pulling at the edge of her dress as she dipped into a curtsy. "Charmed to meet you, Doctor Nationis. No, I don't think we've met..." ...I'd remember a man who collected corpses... she finished only to herself. Her hand freed from his, Jazz moved a strand of violet behind her ear.
"I am Jasmine Krisp. If I'm a master of anything, I suppose it'd be finding and collecting unfortunate souls." A shrug. This was pretty true, first her saving the girl in the snowstrom then that run-in with the suicidal Roberts boy...she was a magnet to sorrow. "It's rather intresting to meet you."
