Guess What! [Piper/ Open]

[Kristopher Roberts]

If Kristopher ever had a reason to be 100% happy, now was that time. The little blond boy was smiling in the Market, his shoulder length (and ever curly) hair was clipped back to the side with two red hair clips that formed an X on the right side of his face.

He was dressed rather nice too, wearing his usual ripped jeans and a white and black stripped button up shirt. Leaving the cuffs undone as well as the collar. Over that shirt was a long white baggy sweater that might of been two sizes too big as it hung on his shoulders.

Kristopher Roberts had some news to tell his best friend in the whole wide world, Piper! He wondered what she would say about all of this and now that the weather was getting better, he wanted to go out and shop. Plus he had been ahead of his chores which allowed him to have this time!

But oh, he just couldn't wait and hoped this day would be wonderful. He lowered his bright green eyes to his watch, which so happened to be an nontraditional engagement "ring" or rather watch.

"She's so going to flip." he chuckled and waited on Piper, who should be showing up soon!

It was nice to know that the weather wasn't quite so artic anymore none the less Piper still wore her black coat, although neglected her scarf and gloves. Earlier Kristopher had dropped by her room looking incredibly happy about something although he wouldn't tell her what...when she said 'dropped by' Piper meant 'was bounced on while half asleep'. Her friend had asked to meet her in the market, she did have some money at least as well, Tristan had insisted she take it.

As the young woman made her way through the crowds, her dark hair pulled back into a loose, low ponytail and fastened with a red ribbon, Piper scanned the marketplace for Kristopher. It didn't take her long to spot the familiar blonde head not far away. Piper waved to try and attract his attention.

"Hey! What was so important for you to take a running jump at me this morning?"

Piper didn't really sound as if she were chastising Kristopher, she saw the funny side of it now but it was alarming and slightly confusing when she was half asleep and trying to figure out what the hyperactive blonde was saying. She was going to find out now by the looks of things...

Kristopher did look like he was itching to say something.

"Hey! What was so important for you to take a running jump at me this morning?"


The blond blinked for a moment and looked towards the direction of the voice and smiled at her, waving slightly. "Hey," He said ever so happly. It was true, he was very bouncy about something and he was going to tell her too! "Heh, erm, sorry about jumping on you frist thing in the morning but I was so excited. And you know I don't get like that often."

More like hardly ever.

"So erm, yeah." He said with a great big smile and took her hand with his own and started walking around. "But I have some interesting news." He told her, walking past a few humans and Boogies that didn't seem to care about the two of them walking.

"Wanna try to guess what it is?" Asked the blond, loving the idea of playing a bit of a game with his loving friend. "Bet you can't guess it!"

Hey, Heh, erm, sorry about jumping on you frist thing in the morning but I was so excited. And you know I don't get like that often. So erm, yeah. But I have some interesting news. Wanna try to guess what it is? Bet you can't guess it!" "

Piper knew that, she was glad that Kristopher had a reason to be happy about something...must be something good if he wanted to tell her THAT early. She smiled at her friend, she would rather see him happy than miserable any day. When he took her hand and started walking along with her, Piper didn't look shocked like she used to, it had become common practise...kind of like being with a brother. When Kristopher told her to guess his news, Piper tapped her chin with the index finger of her free hand.

It had to be something brilliant to make Kristopher this estatic.

"Umm...Augusta's carrying your child?"

Joke of course, Augy lacked the relevant bits and pieces for that. Piper couldn't help but chuckle at her own lame excuse for humour and carried on pondering. Erm...well, it was probably something to do with Augusta so what else could there be? The only thing she could think of was them getting engaged or something.

No way...

Piper looked at Kristopher as the answer hit her.

That was the only thing she could think of that would make her dear friend THAT happy!

"You're engaged! That's it isn't it!"

Smiling softly, he watched as his friend's face shown the signs of thinking upon the matter. Oh, this would be great, how long would it take her to figure it out. What would be the frist thing to pop up in her fine head?

"Umm...Augusta's carrying your child?"

Kristopher looked at her for a moment and then bust into soft laughter, "Oh my god, how did you know Piper? He is carrying my child! I'm not sure how it happened cause he never lets me on top! I mean seriously!" He went along with her joke for the moment and then she went back to thinking and he squeezed her hand gently as they took a turn.

"You're engaged! That's it isn't it!"

Once again he looked at her, though this time with a pouty frown, "Awww, you took the fun out of the guessing game!" He whined like a little girl and then smiled brightly and nodded. "But you ar right! I am an engaged little boy." He grinned proudly then and showed her his watch, which was Augusta's and a pretty and non-obvious symbol for the two. "See, isn't pretty? We decided not to go with rings, so its not a dead give away to the Boogies." He smiled proudly then.

"He's goign to engrave on it too, and if he puts asshole on it I am going to smack him."

"Oh my god, how did you know Piper? He is carrying my child! I'm not sure how it happened cause he never lets me on top! I mean seriously!"

The dark haired young woman chuckled at her own bad joke along with Kristopher, although she really didn't need to know who was on top when things were going on between Kristopher and Augusta...

"Awww, you took the fun out of the guessing game! But you are right! I am an engaged little boy. See, isn't pretty? We decided not to go with rings, so its not a dead give away to the Boogies. He's goign to engrave on it too, and if he puts asshole on it I am going to smack him."

Piper chuckled at Kristopher's last statement as she looked down at the watch, very clear attention to fine detail, definetly one of Augusta's pieces. A nice alternative to the traditional rings which would be an obvious give away, it probably made it more personal that Augusta had made it for Kristopher too. She smiled at her friend and gave him a tender hug, Piper was so happy for him...after everything Kristopher and Augusta both deserved some happiness.

"I'm so happy for you, congratulations."

She kept her voice soft so not to attract unwanted attention.

"I'm so happy for you, congratulations."

Krissy smiled and then enevloped her into a big huge and lifting her off the ground slightly. "Thanks, I know. Isn't it great? I'm going to get married, granted...we can't let anyone really know. Especially the monsters about here. Least I need is to be questioned, let alone Augusta...and then some." He chuckled and leaned down, kissing her on top of the head.

"And you my dear, are going to be there when I get married. I'm sure its going to be a bit awkward, seeing to guys get hitched but oh well. I don't care and I hope you don't either." After a moment he released Piper and took her hand in his again and started moving. He didn't want to attract unwanted attention to them.

It was scary enough that half the time someone always tried to buy Kristopher from Nealona and then Sin now too. But Sin never sold him, came close too but always changed his mind.

"I just wish Augusta would stop doing dangerous things, now that I am going to be his...I want him to stop getting bloodied all the damn time." He paused and grinned largely, "In fact, I might make that a new rule."

Piper chuckled slightly when Kristopher lifted her off the ground, despite how slight he was in frame he still managed to pick her up with ease. She felt warm inside to see him so happy, Kristopher and Augusta really deserved it. When he put her down and kissed the top of her head she smiled up at her dear friend.

"Thanks, I know. Isn't it great? I'm going to get married, granted...we can't let anyone really know. Especially the monsters about here. Last I need is to be questioned, let alone Augusta...and then some. And you my dear, are going to be there when I get married. I'm sure its going to be a bit awkward, seeing to guys get hitched but oh well. I don't care and I hope you don't either."

As they wandered along through the market stalls again, looking almost like a pair of children walking hand in hand. Piper listened to what Kristopher had to say, she understood keeping it quiet, around this place that pretty much went without saying...but saying it was awkward for two guys to get married was a little sad.

"Don't worry, Silly. I promise my lips are sealed, but don't be self concious about both of you being guys...call me a hopeless romantic but you love eachother, that's what matters really. At least that's how I see it."

Piper squeezed his hand in encouragement, she wanted Kristopher to feel completely confident about it, so what if it was two guys? Shouldn't be any different in her opinion, just perhaps not putting Kristopher in a white wedding dress...that might cross the realm into weird then.

[Aione Higurashi]

Normally not one for a walk, but making a rare exception for today, Aione skipped along the market stalls, her long red hair bouncing behind her in a thick braid. Her eyes glistened as she eyed the things for sale, curious about what some of them even were, and eager to buy something. But this something wasn't for herself, of course. It would be for Motoko-chan or Sori, her siblings, or for Tristan. She hummed to herself, playing with the long white strings attatched to the dress she wore. It was a good day today.

Rounding a corner, Ai noticed a familiar face or two pass by. Kris, the blond boy who she knew to be dating Augusta-kun, and Piper, who she'd heard of now and again from her dear master. She'd never properly spoken to either. But from what she heard from Tristan, Piper was nice, and Kris must be too if he was so close to Augy...plus, they both seemed to be in a good mood, so better late than never for an introduction. Building up courage, she trotted over to them and waved. "Hello! Good morning, Roberts-san!" Best to start with the person she knew better.
