Geez, what a day. Once again Kristopher Allen Roberts had been sent to the kitchens for the day. His job at the moment was to make sure everything was in order, cleaned, put away and that they had enough food for the month. So far, it was going pretty good really and an hour later the blond was leaning on the counter, writing out how much they had of what and going through a check list.
He rested his head against the palm of his hand. The blond was in his normal clothing, skinny ripped jeans, a white tank top that held no sleeves, which means his tattoos where shown to the world. His long sleeved shirt was tied around his waist (it was far too hot in the kitchen) and his blond curly hair was pulled back in a half ponytail.
The green eyed boy sighed and tapped his pencil on the counter as a younger slave walked into the room. "Kristopher." He said, gaining the blonds attention. "There is a boogie out at the table. He wants a cup of tea and a few biscuits."
Kristopher sighed and waved his hand in the air, "Right, I'm on it. Tell him it will be a moment." Tired, the blond put down his pencil and grabbed what was needed. It would be a good ten minutes before he finished everything and put the items on a tray. God, sometimes he hated being the only one working in here.
The blond stepped out of the kitchen and through the double doors. He looked up to say something to the Boogie, however when he saw who it was the blond almost dropped his tray and his brain suddenly went very fuzzy with a loud mental cry of: "Zomg! OH MY FUCKING GOD!" Doing his best, he tried to stabilize himself and his tray of goodies, with very wide green eyes.
Hoping he wasn't seen or heard he darted right back into the kitchen at top speeds and leaned against the wall. His heart about to burst out of his chest. "No...way....he's....he's...back." He felt his face suddenly light up like fire.

Corvus was bored. Very, very bored. It had been way to long since he’d come home to the palace, and frankly, he was somewhat disappointed that so little had changed. Humans he recognized had grown slightly older, a few of which waved their greetings that he returned openly, but other than that everything seemed to be exactly the same. Booooring… Corvus sighed, sitting at the dining hall table with his hat tilted back. He watched humans go to Boogies, take orders, and disappear without so much a second thought. They were pretty well behaved. Which made it even more boring.
“Excuse me, sir, what would you like to eat?” A young slave asked him politely. Corvus shrugged, looking at what some of the others were eating for a clue of what was being served. Nothing looked good to him, so he returned to the slave with a slight smile. “Some tea and biscuits, please.” The slave nodded and wandered back into the kitchen. The red-eyed boogie leaned back more in his chair, listening to the quiet in the room. No loud thoughts or irritating worries to interrupt him…
"Zomg! OH MY FUCKING GOD!"
The Boogie almost fell backwards in his chair as the voice hit him full-force. A low, annoyed growl echoed in his throat as he looked around for the source of the thought/shout when his eyes landed on the boy holding his tray, and his ruby eyes lit up. “No way in hell…” Corvus stood up from the table, a warm smile on his face. Blonde-gold hair, pale as death, gem-green eyes…it couldn’t be…
“Kristopher? Is that really you?” Corvus grinned, scanning the boy from head to foot. He’d gotten taller, and a little older, but he was Kris. He was his Kris. And judging by his reaction to him, Kris recognized him as well. Good-bye boredom.

Okay, okay count to ten! Settle down! Settle down, you can do this! He repeated over and over in his head and he took a couple of deep breaths. Breathing in and breathing out, soothing, calming. He could do this, he could go out there, deliver the food and make a run for it.
But he couldn't believe it, Corvus was back, he never thought that boogie would ever come back. Futhermore, it would bring trouble. Oh he just knew it and at the same time he didn't care. Maybe he was wrong and nothing bad would happen! He could have a boogie friend, right? RIGHT!
So what if he was one of Kristophers crushes...a very big crush. Oh fuck.
Taking a deep breath, the boy turned and came back out.
“Kristopher? Is that really you?”
Kristopher almost dropped his tray for a second time, but he did not. He walked up towards Corvus and smiled at him, doing his best to suppress a deep blush. He put the tray down on the table then, unloading it and trying so hard not to make eye contact.
"Um, yeah...its me, Kristopher." He said brightly, perhaps a bit too brightly. "Erm, sorry about that a mo moment ago, I ---- for--got, yes I forgot the biscuits but I got them now." He smiled up Corvus then, and chuckled nervously.
God, he was a kid all over again. "So, welcome back...took me by surprise."

Talk about your odd coincidences. Corvus was planning on looking for Kris right after eating, but here he was bringing him food. The raven-haired Boogie almost laughed at the nervous thoughts radiating from Kris, but truth be told he felt a twinge of nerves himself. It had been years since he’d been called off, his old job dragging him away to some royal house to train some new human with a problem…that had been a grey day. It was impossible to stay completely calm looking at Kristopher now. He wasn’t a kid anymore.
He’s so friggen cute…
Corvus kicked himself mentally. He wouldn’t make a move on Kris. He was just a friend. Just. A. Friend.
But he’s not a kid anymore, is he? He’s gotta be…what…nineteen now? That’s not a kid. That’s legal.
Shutupshutupshutup.
When Kris put the tray down, he jumped, but not enough to be noticed. Corvus couldn’t help but notice the way he wasn’t looking at him. And the tint of his face was new as well. The sickly boy never had so much color, except whenever Corvus was around. It was good to hear his voice again, even though he sounded a bit light-headed. “Good God, I forgot how fast you kids age. I barley recognized you…” Lie. He recognized him the second he saw him looking all flustered a moment before. “…it’s good to see you again, Kris.”
Corvus moved back to retake his seat, then patted the chair next to him. "Sit down! I want to hear how you're doing." His auburn eyes glowed. "How's my favorite human doing?"

Kristopher didn't know what to say, here was an old friend and a very old crush of his. Granted, he never old Corvus that when he was a child growing up--he formed a crush and it seemed it didn't die like Kristopher thought it had. Oh dear, this could be bad.
“Good God, I forgot how fast you kids age. I barley recognized you……it’s good to see you again, Kris.Sit down! I want to hear how you're doing. How's my favorite human doing?"
"I didn't grow that much." Kris whispered in reply.
Oh dear.
Kristopher held to tray to his chest and looked down at the floor, his cheeks glowing. Oh god, oh god, sit? With him? Was that a good idea, hell was that even safe? But the boy nodded and sat down in the chair as if his legs just gave out from under him.
Okay, he needed to settle down. Putting the tray over his lap he looked over at the taller boogie and smiled softly as he always did. Then something caught his attention. "Is...is that the hat I gave you?" The blond asked, suddenly no longer shy. Instead he was now transfixed on the top hat and reached out to touch it.
"I didn't think he would actually keep it..." He thought to himself in awe and then quickly pulled his hand away from the hat. "Erm, sorry." He replied quickly, noticing another boogie looking at him awkwardly. "Um, what I've been doing?"
Kris had to think about this for a long moment, "I've been doing well, Madam treats me well...although she doesn't really...um, own me anymore." He chuckled nervously. "And some other things happened, but um.." He started to fiddle with his engagement watch then. "How have you been, C-C--Con--I mean, Master Corvus."

Corvus didn’t catch Kris’s little whisper. He didn’t see how Kris was blushing furiously. The Boogie did, however, hear the mass confusion going on in his head. And it would have been funny, if it wasn’t a complete mystery to him why his old friend was so edgy. But for whatever the reason, Corvus never had been able to see the crush that was so obviously painted on Kris’s face. Even with the ability to read minds, he was as clueless as any non-mind-reading person.
Oh well.
The attention shifted to the hat atop his messy black hair. It had been a gift from Kris, so of course the blond would recognize it. Corvus gave him a warm smile, leaning his head down as the hand reached for it. “The very one. Are you surprised I kept it?” Dumb question, since that was the very thing Kris was thinking at that moment. The boogie chuckled to himself as the hand was drawn back, then caught a rather rude thought from another Boogie across the way. Corvus gave them a threatening glare while Kris wasn’t looking.
“Madam…Naelona, right?” He vaguely remembered the Boogie woman. She wasn’t the kind of woman he’d befriended, or wanted to get close to in any sense. Yet, she was nice to Kris in her own odd ways, so he never made a point of arguing with her. Or killing her. Whichever one came first. But now she didn’t own Kristopher… “Really? Who has you know? Nobody to bad, I hope.”
Corvus glanced at the watch that held Kris’s attention. He felt it was important…someone had given it to him. A pang hit him in the chest. Someone important had given that to him. Why should I care? He’s not mine. Never was, never will be. But it still bothered him.
“Me? The usual stuff, I guess…fighting the good fight.” the raven-haired Boogie pulled the hat back slightly, “Troublesome human, got him moved into the palace to spare him his master’s wrath…same old, same old.” He made a face that looked like a pout. “And how many times have I told you not to call me that. Or have you forgotten…” Corvus leaned into Kris slightly, fully aware it would make the boy blush brighter, “…call me Corvus. C. Or. Vus.”

“The very one. Are you surprised I kept it?”
Kristopher looked at the older man and nodded, "Actually, I am very surprised. I didn't think you would keep it. I mean, a little slave gave it to you...and everything. I just thought...you...where humoring me really." said Kristopher in his normal velvet voice. He really did think that the boogie just humored him, simply to make him feel so much better. Kristopher had been so ill as a boy, and it was always nice to feel like he was something special.
However he nodded a second time when asked about Naelona, but a smile did not touch his lips. He had one, but it faded away. "She finally lost me in one of her bets, in November I believe. His name is Sin, that is my new Master. He treats me,....well."
"Yes, like a cow getting ready to be butchered type of caring." He thought to himself, but there was no need to tell Corvus about how badly he was treated or where he spent his evenings one day a week. It made him feel sick. But he put a smile on his face then.
"Anyways, I am glad you still have it." He said honestly with a bright smile, then that smile suddenly vanished into a look of true vivid blush. Sudden Corvus was so close to his face that he could almost feel his breath on his face.
Kristopher started to think that Corvus loved to do this to him, to tease him by getting so close. So close that Kristopher could almost kiss him. But he wouldnt. Not now, he was with Augusta now. But the boy stuttered, "N--No I ha--haven't." He said looking at Corvus as if he was waiting for something. "Haven't at all, Corvus." God he was so close, and just to make sure nothing would happen, he placed a slender hand on his shoulder, patting him lightly with a nervous laugh.
"I wish he wouldn't make me blush so hard...if Augusta walks by, I'll be in a mess."

The Boogie blinked, a bit surprised at Kris's word. "You're right. A little slave did give it to me. But it was such a cute little slave..." Corvus put his hand to his chin, a puzzled, but obviously fake expression on his face, "Why would I ever humor someone like that? Hm?" That was sure to fluster the young human. Cor had always seen how the boy had reacted strangly to his compliments, touch...actually, he reacted funny to Cor just being within a ten-mile radius. It was pretty entertaining.
You never were a good liar. Red eyes narrowed at what the younger male didn't say. Sin was a new name for Corvus, and the name alone had him worried. To imagine this bastard hurting Kris, or worse, he'd prefer Naelona's methods in a heartbeat. But Corvus played the clueless one for now. He'd deal with that asshole later.
Cor wanted to laugh at the shade Kris was turning. It was a shade of red only seen in explosions or fireworks. And it was cute. Unbelievably cute. Still, the nervous waves coming from the blond killed the mood slightly, if only on the Boogie's side. The name in Kris's head also worried him on so many levels. Who the heck is Augusta? A Boogie? A human? A friend? Cor's eyes landed on the watch on kris's wrist, ...or...
He snatched Kris's hand from his shoulder, holding it awkwardly for a second before noticing the tempature of the human's skin. Does he have a fever or what? The thought was ignored as Corvus tried to get a better view of the watch, still holding Kris's hand. "So, who gave you this?" Why did his voice need to sound so cold right then? "You weren't wearing it when I left. And I rememebr everything..." ...about you. was what he wanted to say, but the words caught in his throat.
So you think of him as a friend...why are you getting jealous?

Kristopher felt like he was about to die for a moment and averted his eyes as he always did when nervous. Oh god, this was getting...interesting. Okay, time to find a new thing to focus on...like...like that girl over there! Yes, a pretty little red head with long legs and large--
"You're right. A little slave did give it to me. But it was such a cute little slave...Why would I ever humor someone like that? Hm?"
Damnit.
The blond smile a little, "Um, well. I don't know, I mean who takes children seriously? Let alone the sickly slave with huge curls." He chuckled and shook his head lightly. "But most Boogies don't keep our gifts so...its kinda...nice to know you kept it..." Or rather honored. But he wasn't about to say that.
However, Kristopher had to blink a few times when Cor got close and took his hand into his. Oh, oh dear. If Kristopher blushed anymore he might just die! So, he decided to voice something, "You're making me blush too much, C--Corvus." but it came out in more of a low mummble so it was unsure if he would be heard or not.
But he had to remember Augusta now, the love of his life. Yes, his hair, the glasses. Everything about him, and how he held him. Corvus was just a crush, a simple silly little crush. Right?
"So, who gave you this?" Why did his voice need to sound so cold right then? "You weren't wearing it when I left. And I rememebr everything..."
Green eyes suddenly grew wide for a moment as he looked down at his watch as if it suddenly betrayed him and his thoughts. "Um," Kristopher started softly. "It--It was a gift, from...from..."
"Oh god what do I say? I promised Augy not to tell anyone we were getting married!"
"...my boyfriend." He admitted finally. It was going to be impossible to lie to Corvus. He hoped that Augusta wouldn't be to mad at him for telling an old Boogie his current standing in a relationship. "He...he makes watches. He's...very nice to me. T-Takes care of me too...."
Awkward, that is what it was right now, awkward.

Absently, the Boogie brushed a golden curl from Kris's face. "But I like your hair. It's so loli." Cor chuckled, moving to pull a stand of his own hair. "Better than mine, anyway." Corvus always loved the human's looks, even though he was thinner than a stick. Hell, I could turn him sideways and he'd be impossible to see. But skiny or not, and human or not, he was still very dear to the older man. And looking like a girl wasn't really a bad thing, was it.
Suddenly, Corvus felt something he hadn't felt once in his whole life. It was pretty bitter, made his head pound, and his ruby eyes widened more than humanly possible. Now for once he wished he couldn't read minds. He might have missed this little tidbit. "You're ENGAGED?!" Cor blurted out by accident, actually falling out of his chair. The red-faced male quickly returned to his seat, fixing his hat as he leaned in to Kris. His voice was harsh, but kept low enough so nobody else could hear. "When did this happen?!! How long ago did you meet this guy?!? Augusta, right?! Isn't he Jou's...oh God, Kris...!!"
So what if now Kris knew he'd read minds? This was a more important that that. His Kristopher was off with another guy. Some other bastard was sleeping with his[/b] Kris. The new bitter feeling drew Cor's face into a tight sneer. Welcome to jealousy. For the price of admission, you get a splitting headache, the urge to commit mass homicide, and an inferiority complex.
Yippee.

"You're ENGAGED?!"
"OH MY GOD!" Kristopher yelled out at the same time as Cro. Kristopher had forgotten all about Corvus little skill and now he wished he HAD remembered. The poor blond was so red now that he looked like he was about to explode! With hands suddenly flailing around in the air, he leaned forward as soon as Crovus found his chair again. He put his hands across his mouth then.
"Not so loud!" Kristopher said with a very high pitched voice, his eyes so wide that they looked as if they where about to pop out of his skull! Oh god, who heard?! He looked around the room carefully, but it seemed no one was paying him any mind. Thank god!
"When did this happen?!! How long ago did you meet this guy?!? Augusta, right?! Isn't he Jou's...oh God, Kris...!!"
Kristopher's heart was beating thirty miles an hour and he stared at Corvus, his hands not leaving the older boys lips. "Oh god, I told him without meaning too! Oh god! Oh god! Oh GOD! This is something I didn't want to tell a crush.....OH MY FUCKING GOD! STOP READING ME!!!!" Kristopher's sentence ended in his head, looking as if he was about to pass out.
"Stop it! STOP IT!! STOP IT!!"
"And---and--- yes I am! To him and---and I met him last summer, I helped fix his leg and yes he belongs to Jou. Now Shhhh!" Kristopher said, as if he was a god fearing man right now. He then pulled away and placed his head on the table. Blond hair falling everywhere as he put his hands on the top of his had.
This was the most embarrassing moment in his LIFE! It couldn't get anyworse! It just couldn't! His head then bounced lightly against the table as he repeatedly called himself a moron.

Augy was not really happy with his day today. Sure he had worse days but it seemed that no matter how he came about doing something, it always hit the fan. He tripped god knows how many times today, and dropped a hammer on his foot twice and got grease in his eye. It was very painful and he wouldn't wish that experience on anyone. Well, not yet that is.
Augusta let out a deep sigh. He walked down the hall, his jet black locks were swept back as he walked up the steps into the large palace. The Watchmaker was summoned by Jouhnin just earlier and he was on his way there. The powdery snow on his boots melted almost instantly in the heat coming from the hall. But he didn't take off his thick leather coat, he knew there was a draft in the hall next to the dining hall. Everyone knew it. Unless you were knew. And by gods, Augy was NOT new here.
Next thing he knew, his dark eyes were glancing toward the dining hall. There was yelling and one of those voices he knew, absolutely knew was Kristopher. Just the thought of the blond made him smug and pleased. How do you turn a mentally unstable genius into a babbling, lovesick idiot? Give them something to be lovesick over. Augusta walked towards the door and stood in the doorway only for a second before quickly turning out of view of the two sitting at the table. Augusta reclaimed his breathing and started to think.
" Who is that? Looks like a Boogie to me... And why was he covering up the guys mouth?"
Augusta tried to think up a logical explanation came to mind. Nothing reasonable. Maybe the Boogie said something to upset Kris? But then why were they yelling. Thoughts were crumpled into his head before he made another glance at them. Now Kris's head was on the table, the blond looked distressed.
" Well... if I just go in there... yeah... Gosh, If he's another one of those perverts, I hate those guys! Geez okay, relax Augy... If he's another old perv I'll just kick his ass, if not... well... whatever..."

While Kristopher looked like he was about to explode, Corvus felt like he was about to. During the little yell-whisper fit at the younger male, the Boogie had slipped in tosee exactly what kind of person this 'Augusta' was. But all the holes in the memories made his envy-headache even worse, and some of the memories he had to push away sicne they were to...how do you put it...intamate. And yet, even though his attention was deep in Kris's past and present, one thought hit him like a bullet.
"Cr...Crush...?" Cor's hand went up to his mouth as he said that a little to loud for his liking. He then pointed at himself with wide eyes. "Y-You like...me?" The blush on his face was almost as bright at Kris's, which was quite a feat. Corvus never blushed so red in all his life, though he did blush now and then, mostly around Kris, but that was way back when. Our of habit, the Boogie pulled on his hat rim so it covered his eyes.
He likes me. He likes me!
But he's engaged...
Who cares? He likes me too!
Peering out from under the hat, the raven-haired Boogie thought of something impulsive, and very, very stupid. If he caught what Augusta was thinking right around the corner, things might have turned out diffrently, but he didn't. Cor reached over and pulled Kristohper's head so it wasn't beating into the table, cupping it delicatly. He smiled weakly, ruby eyes matching the shade of his cheeks. "...at least you confessed, I'd have felt like a pervert if I did this without some minor consent."
Corvus leaned across the table, kissing Kris right on the lips.

Kristopher seriouly just wanted to slam his head repeated over and over and over on the table. Really. Ugh He couldn't believe he said that! Well, actually he thought it...so he really didn't admit anything, right? Or said...so nothing could go wrong or bad right?
Right!
So then, why on earth was he taken by such surprise when Corvus was talking to him, holding his head. "...at least you confessed, I'd have felt like a pervert if I did this without some minor consent."[/u]
Wait! Wait! WAIT! WHAT?! Kristopher seemed to be confused for a moment and then suddenly, all confusion was promptly dropped and lost somewhere as the boogie placed his lips against the blonds. Kristopher didn't do a damn thing. He was in far to much shock to do anything about it.
His green eyes where wide open, staring at Corvus as his hand rested on the table near him. Oh. My. God. Was what went through his head, having to force himself not to kiss his old crush back. His lips moved for a moment and then froze. He felt like he was simply melting away. But then he put a hand on Corvus chest and pulled away.
"I---I---" What he wanted to say was for Corvus not to do that! Kristopher was in love with Augusta, he was getting married for heavens sake! And here Corvus did this!
"C--Corvus!?" said the blond in shock. Yet at the same time he as pleased that one of his old fantasys came to life...but at such a very bad time. And a few years too late.

Augusta was calming himself down, he needed to be calm if he was going to go into that room and save Krissy from a pervert. He needed to have his composure, his strength. So he relaxed a bit and decided not to hesitate. Kris needed him and that was that. Augy cracked his knuckles and popped his neck before leaning off the wall. He made it look like he had just been casually walking down the hall and just happened to notice. But by the time he got into the doorway he looked like nothing near calm.
He took two steps into the room and his eyes widened. Augy had a skill for coming in at the wrong time, but he waltzed in right at the moment Kris moved his lips against the Boogie's. Augy felt his entire body go limp, he had to concentrate just to keep his knees from falling out from under him. He heard Kris say the other mans name. But right now words didn't matter. Anger flared and he wanted to badly to move but he couldn't seem to move his feet. He didn't even talk, like something was caught in his throat. Part pf him wanted to die... Kris... His Kris was kissing someone else. Or maybe not. It didn't matter. He was angry, so... so very angry but at the same time a slow and creeping depression was clawing at him as well.
" K--Kris?" he said, his voice cracking, he couldn't breath, maybe this was all accidental, maybe the Boogie threatened him, maybe... maybe the thoughts going through his head were wrong. But soon that depression sludge crept over him again, and like always, he couldn't escape it. Augusta had had enough of standing there looking struck. Fine... If Kris wanted to go off and fool around then Augy wouldn't stand here and mess it up! Who cares about that stupid blond anyway! See?! Everyone always hurts you in the end... always!!
So The Watchmaker turned on his heels and left, he didn't want to see anymore of that...
