The snow felt good. Cool and comforting. Aira knew that if she stayed here much longer it would become too cold. She could die here, Aira was very aware of that. Snow could be dangerous. It's just one of those things that takes time to kill you. Stay still, and slowly succumb to the soothing frost. Close your eyes and let go.
No. Aira jerked up into a sitting position. Erased those contemplations from her mind. She had been disappointed at not yet finding the Boogie Palace and decided to take a rest. Her own power caught her unawares.
The snowfall was picking up, falling fast. The wind whistled while puppeting the trees into lively beings. The branches of the more dead trees groaned and some fell to the ground. It came on suddenly and with much strength. The darkening sky loomed overhead.
"Creepy place this has become.. " Aira muttered to herself. Thinking it best to find somewhere to take shelter, she picked herself up from the forest floor and pushed forward. The wind was crisp and bit at her cheeks and eyes. The temperature seemed to drop and sting her ears. It was almost impossible to see where she was going, the snow was so thick. The only thing Aira could think of to do is shout, "Help!"

Allthough Jasmine didn't mind the cold, the growing storm wasn't on her list of things to get stuck in. The smaller Boogie was currently sitting on a tree branch, trying to see the path ahead. And what a horrible job of it she was doing. The winds made it impossible to call for Hades, and the snow kept getting in her eyes. Defeated, Jazz jumped from the high branch and landed on her knees and palms, scrapping them on the snow before standing up. Ouch.
With a sigh, she turned to face the way she'd come. The only way she could go and not get horribly lost. Thank goodness Jasmine had an inkling of a way to reach the Palace from here, or she'd be a popsicle by nightfall. She smiled, reaching for a branch as she trugged back to her home. And a place to sleep that wasn't waist-deep in snow.
Huh?
The cry for help took the lavender-haired Boogie by surprise, her head turning in the direction it had come from. It sounded like a child...an unfourtunate human child, perhaps? Jazz felt her throat get thick just from the thought of some human freezing out here. Her worry as a mother, or more accuratley an ex-foster-mother, kicked in and she headed towards the voice, blocking the snow from her eyes with one gloved hand.
"H-Hello? Is there someone there?"

Fear was a new sort of feeling for Aira. She had never quite experienced it before, never had a reason to. But now it took hold of her whole being. The wind and the snow had bullied her to the ground and she felt so out of control, it was terrifying. The snow continued to lash at her eyes to the point where all she could see was shapes, the darkening sky was no help. The horror of dying before her life had barely begun was too much for Aira. Helpless, she began to cry.
"Calcifer.. Calcifer." She muttered, wishing her best friend was here with her. What would he do without her? And what about her brother? He would be very sad to find her buried in the snow. If they ever found her solid body. And her mother... She would miss her mother so badly. Her hair and her eyes and her love.
"H-Hello? Is there someone there?"
Aira wiped at her frozen tears in an attempt to see better. She could make out a form of a person, a woman. Her heart quickened and sent a burst of warmth through her cold limbs. "Momma! Momma! I'm here!" She shouted, sure that it was her mother that had come to save her from this bitter death. To save once again as she has many times.

Jasmine felt her heart leap as another cry echoed through the forest. A child, somwhere, was lost. And terriried by the sound of things. Desoite her size, Jazz easily ran though the snow, blocking the wind from her ears to try and hear clearer. The voice was terribly faint, and the howling winds made it impossible to hear anything that wasn't right in your ear. The gold eyed boogie wondered if it was even wise to keep looking, since whoever was out here might already be an icebrick by now...
The doubt flew right out with another gust of wind, and another scared, and noticably louder cry. Jasmine's ears perked, and she kept towards where the voice came from. Blasted snow still made it impossible to see details, but there was something in the snow. A black spot in the shape of a person. A small boogie. Found you. She smiled softly against her frost-bitten cheeks, running up to the figure. Details were still impossible to make out. Still, Jazz pulled off the black scarf she'd been wearing and wrapped it around the kid.
"There there, it's okay. I'll get you back to the Palace, okay dear?" Some stich of maternal feelings must have still been in her skin. The motherly tone to her voice proved it.

The world was swirling and the only certainty of direction that she could be given was the firm cold earth that was below, the earth that she was pinned to by the wind and snow. Then there was someone else, that she could still not fully see even as they got closer. But she knew who it was and as she was securely wrapped into a material of some kind, she reciprocated by folding her arms around the body that she was certain was her own mother.
"There there, it's okay. I'll get you back to the Palace, okay dear?"
Aira pressed her face into the abdomin of her saviour as releif warmed her from the inside out, "Momma! Momma, I knew you would find me. I knew you would come for me." The biting wind whistled in her ears and threatened to take them both into a frozen death but Aira did not listen. She knew that she would be safe now. She had always been protected by her mother.

She's just a little girl...
The wind whipped the plum Boogie in the face as she stood back up, scarfless, to face the open air. She turned back to the path, pulling the young Boogie along with her. Jazz made the effort to keep the small girl protected from the wind and snow, putting her arm around her head to keep it sheilded, and finally they reached a spot where the snow and yowling gists didn't blind either of them.
"Are you okay, little one?" Jasmine's warm voice was welcoming, her arm still around the girls head as she caught her breath, the other hand on the child's wrist. Bare skin on bare skin. This was a precaution, in case the girl wasn't as innocent as she seemed or if she tried to run away from fear, all it would take was some calm words from Jasmine's power and she would lighen up. It was a last resort though...at the moment her priority was to get this girl to saftey.
"Ano, mind telling me your name, little one? And where's your momma? Is she out here with you...?"
