Akira fits his name of brightness with his golden hair. His mother Megan was from America and he inherited it from her. His eyes are a deep purple and extremely captivating though he doesn’t use them for charm as he prefers being alone. He is thin, too thin for a man of his height, but his body is tone and in good shape. His body isn’t marred except for one scar on his palm which he received when he tried to escape Wonderland when he was a boy. His blond hair falls about his eyes and his skin is pale, drawing more attention to his eyes.
His attire is usually plain. Akira doesn’t like to call attention to himself so he usually dresses in somber clothing, blacks and other dark colors. His eyes are heavy with sadness that he can’t shake which adds to their depth. It isn’t rare to see him in bandages as he’s constantly going to dangerous places in the hopes to find a way back to the human world and have a normal life.

Personality:
Akira is extremely aloof and cold towards others. He doesn’t care about anyone but at the same time he isn’t the type of person to shun friendship. Even if he has a hard time expression emotions such as gratitude or caring towards anyone. He hides himself, appearing shallow and impatient when he truly feels deeply, he’s just afraid of showing it. He’d rather everyone think of him as a bit of an asshole so they stay away from him and as such he plays the part well, responding with sarcasm and sometimes downright cruelty even if someone is trying to be kind to him.
He never reveals his past to anyone even though it might help them to understand him more easily. He considers his life in Wonderland his fault and knows that if he had just been stronger in the past he could have done something to save his family and wouldn’t be stuck here now. Nothing will convince him otherwise even though there was no chance of a nine year old making a difference against the Yakuza.
Akira tries to convince himself that he doesn’t care if he dies, but in reality he is terrified of death because he knows that there is so much more to life and he doesn’t want to give up until he experiences a normal life.

History: Akira was born in Tokyo, Japan to Hajime and Megan Yamaguchi. He never learned much about how his parents met because he was young and didn’t care about romance. However, it became apparent that his father had ties to the Yakuza but when he married Megan he left and as such, the family had to move around constantly, trying to save up as much money as they could so they could eventually get out of Japan. However, the Yakuza Boss made sure that Hajime had a lot of trouble getting a job and so the family was just above the poverty line. Because they were moving around so much, Akira didn’t have much chance to make friends and they shunned him because of his obvious American heritage and so he grew up around adults and was far more mature for his age then he ought to be.

When he was nine, the Yakuza caught up to them when they returned to Tokyo. Megan hid Akira in the store room under the house and he had to wait in the dark while he heard his parents being killed. They looked for him as well, but when they couldn’t find him they figured he’d die soon anyway. Akira agreed with them and was prepared to wait for death in that storeroom. When he finally fell asleep he hoped it was death that was carrying him away, instead he wound up in Wonderland.

Having lived through the Yakuza, Akira refused to ever give up again and so throughout his years at Wonderland he attempted to escape to no prevail. Although he’s been there for 12 years, Akira doesn’t know many people, not even many of the Boogies, though he hates all of them for oppressing him. He knows that there has to be a way to get out of Wonderland and he’s determined to find it. He doesn’t care about the other humans trapped in Wonderland and isn’t going to risk losing his chance by making sure he gets them out too.
