Appearance:
Ryan is an extremely small child, even for one as young as he is. There isn’t a single ounce of muscle on his entire body, but then again there isn’t an ounce of fat either. Mostly he is nothing but skin and bones, his ribs perpetually showing. Because of his lack of nutrition and sometimes cramped living spaces he is also shorter than is normal, barely reaching three feet. His face and hands are almost always covered in dirt, his blond locks a tangled mess that clings to his face and everything else it can reach. Since he doesn’t wear shoes or socks, the bottoms of his feet are beginning to become toughened and slightly callused. Perhaps the most striking thing about his body however, well beyond his malnourished and filthy form, is the fact the fact that he could be much more easily mistaken for a girl than the boy he is. His long blond hair and fine, delicate features are far more effeminate than they should be, making him seem all the more odd.
When it comes to clothing, there is really no telling what he can be found in. Since he has no one to provide for him he must scrounge up his own clothing, most often resulting in horribly mismatched outfits that are not always gender appropriate. Because there are not many in the palace of his particular size, they are often rather outsized and baggy as well. If what he is currently wearing falls apart and he can’t find something new that he likes and has a decent fit, then he has absolutely no problem running about naked; it’s not like anyone will see him anyway. Shoes are something that he has never bothered with, mostly because he never really could get the hang of tying them.
Personality:
Ryan is an extremely timid child. He is utterly terrified of anyone bigger than him, not just boogies but humans as well. His fear of them runs so deep that he won’t even look at them, whenever one passes by one of his hiding places he covers his eyes and curls up into a ball until they pass. Because of this is sleep cycle is completely reversed, sleeping during the day when they are out and about, and emerging at night when most of them are sound asleep. For this reason he doesn’t really like the sun, because it exposes him to the ‘monsters’ that he is convinced are after him.
Due to the gaping hole in his memory, his intelligence and development are far below what they should be for someone of his age. He doesn’t know what most things are, and as such is completely fascinated by even the simplest object. He does enjoy coloring though, although he has a good deal of difficulty staying inside the lines of the coloring books he pilfers at night. It doesn’t bother him to take those and whatever else he might want or need, because as of yet he has no sense of right and wrong. Most times there is nothing to stop him from taking what he wants, and so he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. Afterall, if they didn’t want their stuff taken then they would have hidden it, right

How Their Life Is / Was
Father: Unknown
Mother: Unknown
Siblings: Unknown
History:
Ryan can’t really remember anything of what happened before he was in Wonderland; can’t really meaning of course, can’t. He has absolutely no idea what his mother and father were like, or if he even had one. Likewise he has no knowledge of a home or siblings. He doesn’t even remember being taken. His earliest memory is of waking up in the dark, cold and alone. At least he thought he was alone. When he opened his eyes and looked about, he at first saw nothing but black. Soon his vision adjusted though, the huge green eyes raising and being met with the sight of the two monsters standing over him.
Immediately he got up and ran from them. Though he hadn’t realized it at first he saw that he was in some sort of building; luckily for him they had forgotten to close the doors behind them, because there was no way his small body would have been able to push them open. Once out in to the cold though, the freezing wind sweeping over his naked form, he was met with an even more terrifying sight.
Everywhere loomed gravestones; huge, stone monoliths that silently proclaimed the presence of death all around him. Again he ran, not caring where he was going so long as it was away from where he was. His heart was pounding as he passed out of the graveyard and into the forest beyond, but that was no better than before. At every turn a horrifying doll would suddenly drop from the trees directly in front of him, causing the small boy to scream in terror and veer off in some new direction. By the time the howling began tears were flowing freely down his face, and it was all he could do to stay upright and moving.
Somehow, he was never sure exactly when or how it happened; he stumbled out of the forest and found a massive stone wall before him. He didn’t bother looking to see how high it was, he was far too tired to care. All he cared about was what he saw at the base of the wall. Barely as high as he, was a tiny door; almost invisible behind the tangle of briars and ivy that covered it. Frantically he burrowed into the mass, only whimpering a little as the thorns cut his face and hands. Soon enough he was through, the door opening with a frightening creak and leading him back into the dark once more.
What Ryan had unknowingly found, was one of many secret entrances that lead into the walls of the palace. Beyond it were a mass of labyrinthine passageways that connected to every room and hallway in the entire palace, he had complete access to anything and everything he could want. Better than that though, was the fact that the majority of the passages were unknown to all but the most ancient of boogies, most of whom had forgotten their very existence by this time. This meant that he was able to go where and do what he pleased, all while staying hidden from the monsters that stalked the halls without. So he has remained hidden, only emerging for food and water when all are sound asleep. And every morning before bed he prays, although he does not know that is what he is doing, for the family he can’t remember to come and save him from the nightmares.
